Dr. Platis is a graduate of Washington University School of Dental Medicine, St Louis, Mo. Class of 1990. His score on the National Board Examination placed him in the top 10% in the country. He earned his Bachelors degree at the University of Florida in 1986. Dr Platis grew up in Boca Raton and graduated from Boca Raton High School.

Throughout his entire career he has maintained his membership in the A.D.A.( American Dental Association),F.D.A. (Florida Dental Association) and the South Palm Beach County Dental association. He served as president of the South Palm Beach County Dental Association in 2000 and sits on the Board as a Delegate to the F.D.A. He was inducted into the International College of Dentists and was honored by the Rotary International in 2016 for excellence and expert care and dedication to the community.

Dr Platis believes that the best way to serve his patients is to remain current in the latest procedures and evidence based practice. He attends advanced education at the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona annually since 2009. He is a member of a local Spear Study group that meets monthly. He attends lectures and seminars to allow him to be knowledgeable in various implant systems and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr Platis lives in Boca Raton with his wife, Sue. He is an avid boater and enjoys both fishing and scuba diving. He is a certified rescue diver. His other interests include amateur car racing, traveling, skiing and upland hunting. He has participated in the M.S. 150 Bike Ride for several years and was in the top 150 for donations raised on more than one occasion. He is a Steward at the St.Marks Greek Othodox Church in Boca Raton and donates to the Christian Orthodox Missions. He also contributes to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Platis and the ladies in the office are amazing. Everyone is always so warm and welcoming. My family and I have been doing there for years. Ive referred a few people to this office already and got the same rave reviews as well.

Dr. Platis and his marvellous staff make coming to the dentist as pleasant and enjoyable as the dental maintenance experience can be. Warm and friendly people, super clean office, and I love the puzzle table in the waiting area.

We are using universal precautions, masks/gloves, disinfection of areas, sterilization of instruments, and use of disposables to keep you safe. We have increased the frequency cleaning of areas including patient waiting areas doors and restrooms.

In addition, we have taken steps to eliminate possible aerosols by installing UV light in our air system and the use of HEPA filtration. Our standard procedure has been to schedule one patient at a time to give you our full attention. We pride ourselves on running on time and minimize waiting times. This allows us to provide social distancing within the office.
