Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded/glued to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and the color of your braces. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.
Dr. Kamdar is a native of Orange County who graduated from Fountain Valley High School. He earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, graduating with top honors and magna cum laude. He then moved to Los Angeles to start his dental career by attending UCLA dental school with a Regents Scholarship. After graduating at the top of his class with a degree of dental surgery (DDS), he wanted to further develop his esthetic skills and moved to New York to attend a general practice residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. He then completed his orthodontic specialty training at the UNLV School of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Speaking both Farsi and Spanish, Dr. Kamdar can communicate with a vasty array of patients.
Being a Premier Invisalign provider, and having received training using proven state-of-the-art technology, Dr. Kamdar has also successfully completed the first two stages of board certification. With his thorough background he understands the importance of a healthy and attractive smile. Dr. Kamdar is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and all of their constituent societies.
Taking pride in providing the care you need to keep your smile healthy and, to give you the best possible service and results, we are committed to continual education and learning. Dr. Kamdar attends dental lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Also, being members of various professional dental associations helps him to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.

Tried Invisalign two times elsewhere and it didn't work. Dr K tells you what you need and is not just trying to sell. Finished my treatment exactly when he told me I would. He's very nice and knowledgeable, so is all his staff. 5/5 definitely recommend!! Thanks Dr K!

I just started my Invisliagn treatment with Dr. Kamdar and am very pleased by the entire process. His staff is very welcoming and helpful. They answered all my questions and they even helped me with my insurance. I was recommended to this office for the promotion they have $2999 for metal braces, but Dr. Kamdar educated me that due to my existing veneers, that Invisalign would be a better option. The price difference wasn't that much and I'm thrilled to see the results.

Came here because a friend recommended and they take medical. Brought my daughter for a consultation and they got approval from her insurance in 3 weeks. Another office told me it would take 2 months but we wanted to get started with the process as quick as possible. Great staff and service! Dr Kamdar is great I can't wait to see the final results!

I recently visited Platinum Orthodontics because my go to dentists has moved away from the area. I found them just by searching for local Orthodontics and i'm glad I did. This place is 5 star. Dr. Kamdar made me feel like I know him for years. He was very friendly and explained everything very patiently. I am pretty happy with the results of my braces. I definitely recommend Platnium Orthodontics.

Dr. Kamdar is the best! He is caring and takes his time to explain treatment. Every visit he checks how everything is doing and makes sure things are on track! Best orthodontist office!! So clean and neat!! I took my son there and he had a great experience, (even though he hates all Doctors) Dr. was great very professional and gentle, he had his braces place on the same day and best of all the price is unbeatable, I totally recommend this office had a couple more consultations at different offices and definitely this office beats them all!!

Is there an equivalent to Michelin Stars for businesses? If so, Platinum Orthodontics would easily get a spot on there. Dr. Kamdar and the entire team at Platinum Orthodontics is exceptional in every single way. I reluctantly started my treatment in February 2020 with fears of how much pain there would be, hearing horror stories, how it would leave me sore, and a lot of irrational fears. Here is what makes this place top notch: Dr. Kamdar's method of treatment reflects his immense knowledge and amazing work - as he was able to straighten out my teeth without any extractions. I am always greeted with a smile. If your appointment is at 10:30, you will be taken in at 10:30. They are so beyond efficient and ensure that everyone is in and out on time. Without a doubt, do not look elsewhere Thank you Dr. Kamdar. You are a legend!
