Dr. Juan C. Chavez grew up in Orem, Utah and attended Brigham Young University where he received his degree in Finance from the Marriott School of Management. He then served an LDS mission in the Fresno California Area
He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He practiced in Dallas, Texas before moving to Utah where he happily offers everything from root canals to deep cleaning, dental implants, teeth whitening and more.
Dr. Chaves enjoys sports, cooking, and traveling with his wife and children. He believes that having a gentle hands go a long way in dental care and is committed to providing every patient with excellent dental care.
Born in Provo, UT, Dr. Jason Pruett attended BYU and served a two year LDS mission in Oklahoma. Jason went on to earn a Masters’s degree in fine art and worked in Los Angeles as an artist, children’s book illustrator, and character designer. Jason realized he loved making people smile as an artist and thought he might like making people smile as a dentist too! He attended the University of Utah School of Dentistry for four years of dental school, and received training on restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, root canals, and dentures. He’d love to take care of your oral health with his friendly approach to patient care

I am very disappointed with the customer care at Platinum Dental. I paid thousands of dollars for veneers and was told they were guaranteed. I had also set up a payment plan when this care took place. I was a fool! One broke and when I went in to get it fixed they charged me $250 plus and while I'm sitting there in the chair they said they wouldn't fix my tooth unless I paid everything off. What kind of place is this? I'm there with no front tooth and they held me for ransom until I paid off my owed fees which I was already paying monthly. It was devastating and caused more anxiety than I can describe. Run away from Platinum Dental. Go somewhere where they treat you like a human! I'm not even sure if this was legal but what could I do? I will never return... and consider this a WARNING!

The doctor was great and the lady's at the front desk are very nice. On the other had payed around 2000 for all the work I had done a d a few months after I was getting bills for 600, and I wondered why.i called and they said my insurance doesn't cover those things, so I called my insurance and they told me they do I just need my de test to call and give them the name of the codes for what work they did. So I called the dentist and told them and they told me they would take care of it. Well 3 months later I'm still getting this bill, I had to pry and pry it got to the point to where I had to call my insurance company find the right guy who would help and stay on the phone while i called the dentist and forced them to deal with it then and there. Which lead to no cost to me after receiving this 600 dollar bill multiple times. This made me completely not trust this dentist any more to give me reliable rates, as well as this situation caused me a decent amount of stress. I felt they put no effort into caring for this situation, totally not cool.

Content that I was seen prompt after my arrival at the office. I like that doctor Chavez is always looking to keep my teeth healthy and updated. I feel that Doreen does a good work cleaning my teeth. In general, I like the way all the staff treat me as a patient.

I've been to quite a few dentists in my life and can honestly say that I've received the best and most pleasant service from Platinum Dental of any of them. I have been a patient of Platinum since they first opened and have had several checkups, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and implants from them. Their staff is friendly and helpful, their dental hygienist Darleen is gentle, caring, and efficient, and Dr. Chavez is the most professional, personable (and artistic!) dentist I've ever had. I highly recommend them for whatever dental work you need or want.

I've been nervous about dental work since I was a kid, especially because the shots left me with muscle cramping and aches for months after. Here? I had to have no such worries. Everything was explained to me by Dr. Chaves, all my concerns were taken seriously, everyone was both professional and wonderfully friendly, and when I did have to get a shot, not only did they comply with my requests to take the edge off the pain, but I barely felt a thing. My filling procedure was incredibly quick and well done, and now I've got nothing to worry about. 10/10, for comfort, speed, and good dentistry.
