Below is our New Patient Package that you will need to complete on your first visit. You can expedite matters by downloading the package, completing it at home and handing it to our staff when you arrive for your initial visit to our office.
Your first visit to our office is designed to get you better acquainted with all we offer as well as introduce you to our caring staff. On your first visit, we will review your medical and dental histories and evaluate your oral health. We will take digital x-rays of your teeth and explain to you whether or not you will require any dental treatment.

Mayoly has been with our team since 2016, and has more than 18 years in the dental field as an office manager. She has received special training in management, customer service and dental insurance. Mayoly loves working with our doctor and office managers to implement new ideas, and seeing our patients walk out with a beautiful smile on their face. She also enjoys training new staff and is the driving force behind each new office, doctor and office manager to maintain our practices and keep them running smoothly. She is 100% committed to delivering whatever our doctors and office managers need.Mayoly enjoys spending time with her husband of 17 years; her son, Chris, who is attending Rutgers; and Melanie and Sophia. In her spare time she participates in Zumba and Salsa classes.
Michele Ambrosio graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 1989 and has been a registered dental hygienist for over 30 years. She has practiced in Bayonne for the entirety of her career, spending over 25 years with South Hudson Dental Group before transitioning to Platinum Dental Group in 2015. Her tenure in Bayonne has allowed her to develop trust and rapport with patients of all ages. She strives to provide input on treatment that will benefit each patients overall dental health and wellness. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, particularly her husband Mark, and her daughters Emily and Abigail. She loves to cook and bake during her down time, and is known to share her recipes and dishes.
Since 2007, Kamir has been a valuable member of the Platinum Dental Group team. She was born in the Dominican Republic and helps us care for Spanish-speaking patients. She oversees office operations, possesses great communication skills with our patients and staff, and ensures everyone is on the same page as a team in order for us to provide the best customer experience. Kamir misses the beautiful weather of her home but loves it here, too. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Kelvin, and her sweet daughter, Myah.
Vanessa joined Platinum Dental Group in 2016 but has been in the dental field since 2001. She puts her years of experience and knowledge to work at our office by assisting the doctors, helping at the front desk, and backing up her coworkers. She also communicates with our patients and helps to meet their needs. Vanessa appreciates how our dentists are eager to implement new ideas and technology to give our patients personalized care and loves being a part of that process. Innovation is important to Vanessa, since it not only improves the patient experience, but enhances the operation of our office. As she will tell you, our goals at Platinum Dental Group are to create beautiful smiles and great relationships with our patients while keeping them comfortable in any way we can.
Vanessa is married to her lovely husband Chris and they have a daughter, Giuliana. When she is not at the office, Vanessa loves to spend time with her family, take walks on the beach and listen to music.

Great experience even for a dental clinic. Very knowledgeable doctors and staff besides being very caring and courteous. My entire family and my mom come here for our dental needs. Highly recommend. I had a very pleasant experience getting a cleaning as a new patient at Platinum Dental Group Somerset! Scheduling was super easy and I received text reminders of my appointment. The office was clean and homey (loved the couch in the waiting room, lol) and all of the staff were incredibly friendly. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and great work. Their admin is highly automated with pushy phone calls, texts, and emails. They will charge no-show fee regardless of circumstances so make sure you send certified mail if you need to cancel.

My first visit was good. The hygienist was very knowledgeable and not too rough (which is a huge plus). She definitely took my comfort level into account. The dentist was nice as well and seemed thorough.

My visit on 5/19/2021 was excellent I walked in and was greeted right away. The person up front asked me to fill out paper. Then my temperature was taken for Covid-19 safety protocol. Then I was led to a room in which I saw the Dentist and was given high praise for my dental hygiene. After that I had a cleaning and again was complemented on the hard work I've done to keep my teeth and gums healthy. Everyone in the office was great.

I have been a pt @ platinum dental group going on 2yrs now, never had a significant issue. I recently had an appointment on 1/20/22 for services that should have taken about an hour(appmnt @ 8a) the doctor began to start my services , stopped in the middle of a crown insert attended to another pt that had to "leave asap"...keep in mind I was on time and that pt arrived after me even if her appointment was 8am as well... had me waiting then returned, couldn't get my cleaning completed and still have to do so. A visit that should have only been 1 visit now turned into 2.... it was unfair to me & my time. extremely unhappy

I've only gone once so far but the experience was fair exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly. The dentist made sure to explain everything in such a way that I could understand, and be fully part of my treatment plan. The care and patience the staff has provided made me feel safe and seen, I intend to keep going back to them for as long as I'm in the area.

The location is very convenient to my home. They have sufficient parking. The waiting room is very appealing. Lily, at the front desk is genuinely good natured with a warm demeanor. Dr. Rishi Phakey is extraordinarily gifted with his ability to emotionally connect with patients,. His skillsets could possibly be the answer to treat the dreaded dentophobia. I've never met a dental assistant or any assistant, in any medical field as professional and compassionate. I highly recommend this team.

I've been going to Platinum Dental Group for about 8 or 9 years now and everyone is always so great to work with. The staff is always so pleasant. The doctors are friendly and explain things in a simple and nice tone the dental hygienist are great as well. I'm planning to trust them with my dental needs for another decade or so.

I just went to Platinum Dental for the first time for a checkup and cleaning. The hygienist, Caitlin, was terrific. She was very patient, knowledgeable, thorough, accommodating, and gentle. I typically hate going to the dentist for cleanings, but this was a completely different experience. I could not recommend her and platinum dental more highly.

There isn't many times I wish to comment on services, because I'm not often happy with client/patient care but when you leave with an enjoyable experience pretty much each time it warrants recognition. I have to admit, from the Dentist to the Hygienist and especially the staff who make the office go and always are so pleasant, I do not have any complains. Need more service like them. Good job to all.
