Dr. Knight graduated from the University of Pretoria Dental School ( South Africa) in 1979. He practiced General Dentistry in London, England from 1979 to 1984 before attending Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry (BUSGD) where he obtained a Masters degree in Endodontics. Upon moving to Florida, Dr. Knight worked as an associate in Endodontic practices in Hollywood and Ft. Lauderdale, before practicingin the present office since 1992.
He served as the Assistant Clinical Coordinator at the Broward Community College Dental Clinic from 1988 to1991.Dr. Knight is a member of the AAE (American Association of Endodontics), ADA (American Dental Association), FAE (Florida Association of Endodontics), Broward County Dental Association, South Broward Dental Association, Atlantic Coast Dental Association and the British Dental Association (Endodontics). In his free time Dr. Knight enjoys playing Golf, Cycling, Tennis and travelling with his wife Susan. They have two sons, Ryan and Jonathan.
Doctor Lauren Mitchell received her Doctor of Dental surgery degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. She completed her General Practice Residency Program at Westside VAMC and the University of Illinois Chicago related hospitals. Dr. Mitchell was the Dental Director of Sydney Hillman Health Center for Chicago Union groups. Dr. Mitchell also practiced in private practice as well.
After a few years of practicing general dentistry, Dr. Mitchell went to attend Columbia Universitys post Doctoral Residency Program in Endodontics at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Mitchell was trained at Northwestern and Columbia University Dental and Medical Centers by some of the top and distinguished doctors and scientists in dentistry, endodontic specifically and medical, human, and basic sciences.
Dr. Mitchell has been a scientific presenter at the prestigious Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting. Dr. Mitchell believes in giving back to the community through teaching. She taught for 15 years as adjunct faculty to the post doctoral endodontic residents at Nova South Eastern University School of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Mitchell also served as the president of the South Florida Endodontic Study Club for five years. Dr. Mitchell is Board Certified in Endodontics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Yanover is a South Florida native who was raised in a dental family. Dr. Yanovers father has been a General Dentist in Boca Raton for 25 years. Following in the footsteps of his hero, Dr. Yanover became a dentist of his own when he graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentist. Upon graduation, Dr. Yanover moved to New York to advance his clinical skills in a General Practice Residency at NYU Langone Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. It was during this time that he found his love for Endodontics the precision of the procedures and his ability to make them as painless as possible for his patients. Dr. Yanover went on to attend a 2 year intensive Endodontic program at NYU Langone Lutheran Medical Center during which time he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Yanover and his wife Alyssa relocated back to South Florida to be closer to family and to start a family of their own; starting with a Golden Retriever puppy named Archer. In his free time, Dr. Yanover loves to be with his wife, family, play basketball, exercise and cheer on both his Knights and Gators!
Dr. Castillo is a native Floridian, growing up in Boca Raton, and is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. She earned a degree in Biological Sciences from Florida Atlantic University in 2014, followed by her matriculation at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she graduated with the honor of Magna Cum Laude in 2019 (Go Gators!). While earning her D.M.D., she discovered her passion for endodontics and decided to further her training in this specialty. In 2021, she completed her post-doctoral training and received her certificate in endodontics from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, in Boston Massachusetts.
Dr. Castillo is a member of the AAE (American Association of Endodontics), ADA (American Dental Association), MAE (Massachusetts association of Endodontics), and FAE (Florida Association of Endodontics). She is currently a Board Eligible Endodontist, with her ultimate goal of becoming a Diplomate. In her free time, she loves being with her family and friends, traveling, cooking, dancing, working out, and anything having to do with the water! She is excited to be back in sunny south Florida, and looks forward to using her clinical skills, warm personality, and empathetic nature to provide her patients with the best dental experience possible!
Always warm and professional with the patients and fellow staff, she goes above and beyond to make endodontic treatment a delight. In her free time, Megan creates artwork, enjoys nature by boating and snorkeling and loves spending time with her family. She loves animals and plans to have a dog of her own in the near future.
Elena has been in the dental field for over 25 years and has faithfully been employed with Dr. David Knight since February 2005. She is a loyal and dedicated front desk secretary. Elena is a graduate of Gene Rogers-Whiddon School of accounting and book keeping. She is a true asset to the practice.
Elena is fluent in Russian & Ukranian. Sheenjoys fashion, ballet, opera, reading and broadways shows. She is a talented artist and has commissioned serval paintings. Above all Elena enjoys time with her growing family.
DeMario is a graduate of Florida Career Collage. Thankfully, we were fortunate to have DeMario join our endodontic assisting team. He is a great team player and an asset to the practice and is a joy to his coworkers and patients.
Brenda has been with the practice since January 1994. She is loyal and dedicated to the doctors and the practice. She handles shared front office secretarial dutieswith Elena and is responsible for administrative and HR tasks.
