Dr. Ben Plank graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and religion. He worked as a professional photojournalist for four years prior to earning his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
Dr. Plank is originally from Mason City, Iowa, and has enjoyed living in Iowa City for ten years with his wife, two kids, and sheepdog. Dr. Plank enjoys spending time with family, as well as cooking, photography, watching the Hawkeyes, and the many cultural opportunities in Iowa City.

A chunk of my tooth broke off this morning. Thanks to Plank Family Denistry they were able to see me in the afternoon and fix my tooth. The entire staff went above and beyond to help me and I truly appreciate all that they did for me.

Dr Plank and his staff are wonderful! Due to a bad experience as a child, I am not a fan of going to the dentist. Dr Plank takes the time to explain what will happen during your visit, which helps ease the anxiety. I've recently had 3 crowns done by him and they look and feel great. Highly recommended!!

Love this place! From the receptionist being so kind to a smiling face all the way back to my chair. Even while in the chair makes you feel like your sitting right in your own living room with them just telling there own life stories! I love my hygienist she is the best and I am very anxious every time I even think the word dentist but this one is AMAZING!!

Doctor Plank and his staff are super friendly at every visit. He gives you the facts and your options and does not try to push unnecessary procedures. I highly recommend giving him a try, you won't regret it.

Very welcoming staff and they all support Sycamore McDonalds. Which makes life enjoyable. Staff does a great job cleaning your teeth. I like the kid friendly atmosphere even if I am 32yrs old. This is how a dentist office should be.
