Dr. Alex Planes is a Vero Beach cosmetic dentist and native of South Florida. Following dental school, he spent an additional two years furthering his education at Columbia University before establishing his practice in Vero Beach. Though Dr. Planes provides a wide range of dental services, his extensive training and experience in implant and aesthetic dentistry have contributed to his esteemed reputation as a Vero Beach cosmetic dentist. Dr. Planes also completed training at Augusta University and certified in the State of Florida for conscious sedation.
Today, Dr. Planes maintains membership in multiple professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. I was seen today as a new patient and right off the bat, the front desk staff was super polite and friendly. Shortly after filling out paperwork, i was called to the back by Nicole the dental hygienist. She is AMAZING!!! She answered all of my questions and I had a lot!! She was also very patient, careful and always made sure I felt okay.. not only that but she gave me some great tips! Dr. B is awesome as well, super friendly. Overall, everyone there made me feel so welcomed! Last thing I want to mention is that their office is beautiful & it smells amazing!

I do not recommend this dentist. I had high hopes for this place but ended up paying double ($3,500) for a botched root canal. I could have had the tooth pulled, post put in, and a new tooth in its place for that amount. The experience... The office staff is nice. They are very friendly, and helpful until they mess up. They had a problem getting X-rays for some reason they were not saving in the system. They told me I had two cavities and one needed a root canal. They also told me I needed a deep cleaning. The dentist was an older white man, very friendly. My root canal appointment took 3 hours which is probably why I had a problem. He kept leaving to take care of other patients that were waiting. They charged $1,804 for a root canal and crown with my dental plan. They botched the root canal because 6 months later I had an infection. They referred me out to another dentist and when I asked them if they were going to pay for the consultation and diagnosis they said they would check and get back to me. I have called a few times and left a message, have been told "we will find out and get back to you", "the person that can answer your concern is unavailable right now", etc.. The reason I'm asking is because I had a dentist mess up before and they did pay for the eval and the work done by the other dentist that they referred me to. Because he was an honest dentist. The dentist they referred me to wants to charge me $230 for consultation and diagnosis and another $1,500 to redo the root canal. They also don't take my dental plan which is why I needed to know if Planes Dental Arts was going to pay for their mistake. If they are referring me to this dentist because they are going to pay for it, fine, I will make an appointment. Otherwise, I need to go somewhere that does take my plan. These people are fake. They appear so nice and friendly. Then when they mess up their true colors show. They don't take responsibility, they don't fix the problem at all, they are only in the business to make money and take advantage of people who don't make a lot of money. There was another lady in the waiting room when I went in to check my infection that had the same exact issue by the same dentist. How coincidental is that? Is this happening all the time? It's crazy! They're crooks!

I went to have my dentures made up at plains dental I went in February and I had problems with them the fitting whoever made them I made it uppers and partial bottom the partial was made terrible it was sent back for relining I had to wait 2 weeks every time because the dentist was only in two days Thursday and Friday I had him refitted about 4 weeks ago they said they sent them out they came back the same way they were sent I don't know if the guy that did the relying even did anything I was speaking with the assistant I was very unhappy because now I have my old partial with my new top dentureI'm still having problems with my mouth it's a shame that nobody came out to explain to me what happened I sent something to the owner explaining what's going on nobody got back to me I should have listened to man that was in the lobby when I first came in to get them done he said that he had problems too

Dr Ghods at Planes Dental Arts Tradition was so sweet and did a phenomenal job repairing my front tooth. You will instantly like him. I have such a fear of dentists but he made me feel so calm. And so did Giselle his assistant today!

I came here back in August to get a routine cleaning. They told me I would have to get X-Rays along with the cleaning since I was a new patient. The problems arose when I got there, they took an hour just taking X-Rays. When it came time to clean my teeth the hygienist told me she wouldn't be able to because I had gum disease and multiple cavities. Long story short I walked out of there with a bill estimate for over $3k and was also told by the doctor I would need to get the remainder of my wisdom teeth removed as they were problematic. They were telling me it was a LEGAL issue to clean my teeth? I was made to feel I had been negligent with how I maintain my dental hygiene. I'm going to assume all of this was not done with malicious intentions. I decided to get a second opinion from another dentist and brought the paperwork I was given from Planes with me. They told me none of the items on this list were valid about my current dental state, they cleaned my teeth with no problem. I just want to put this out there for others who may have this experience here. This is not to say this isn't a great place to go, the staff and doctor were very friendly and the office is brand new and clean, but please get a second opinion before investing your money.

I cannot say enough about the people that work here. As a person in my mid-20s covered in tattoos with large holes in my ears, I'm all to accustomed to being dismissed or not taken seriously. "I look like trouble"....and I've always dreaded the dentist in general because I've always had bad teeth. But they made me feel so welcomed, seen, heard, understood and cared for. I've never felt so calm in the chair at a dental office before. I'm so grateful for these people and I would recommend this office to absolutely anyone and everyone.

How's this for great customer service: yesterday I was eating breakfast when one of my molar crowns loosened up and came out. So I called Planes Dental. Dr. Planes is my dentist. Kim managed to squeak me into the schedule in just a half hour. I no sooner signed in and Gisele came to take me back to start the process. After an x-ray Dr. Planes came in reset the crown, Gisele cleaned me up, and I was on my way. The best part- no charge! That to me is simply great service after the sale. So thanks Dr. Planes and staff for making my day.

Office staff is just the best, could not do enough for us. Sammy, my new dental hygienist is amazing! Got me through X-Ray's that are always an issue (gagging). And did an awesome job cleaning my teeth, even while fighting my closing mouth! Sammy is the best! Thanks

Excellent dental care at Port St Lucie, US 1, Planes Dental Arts. Always greeted with smiles and a friendly welcome by staff! Very little wait time. Staff was professional and caring. I've had a number of appointments and everyone was so welcoming. I decided to have veneers done and the dentist who did the work was was so nice. I'm thrilled with the work she did.
