Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Filocoma completed her undergraduate studies at Fordham University in New York. After completing her undergraduate degree, she attended SUNY at Stony Brook, School of Dental Medicine, on Long Island, before specializing in pediatric dentistry at Boston Childrens Hospital and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

In fact, Dr. Filocoma and Dr. Wendell both trained together during their post-doctoral pediatric dental residency at Harvard and Childrens Hospital. They have been partners in their Portsmouth office since 1996.

A native of New Hampshire, Dr. Wendell attended UNH before completing his dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. From there, he went on to specialize in pediatric dentistry at Boston Childrens Hospital / Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Ashley is originally from Sagamore, MA and went to college at Georgetown in Washington, DC. She then went to the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, after which she spent two years in Alaska doing an Advanced General Dentistry Residency. She then decided Pediatric Dentistry was the way to go and attended the University of Oregon to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry. She lives on the Seacoast and given her Alaskan background, can naturally be found outside doing pretty much any activity.

Dr. Brian is originally from Illinois and attended college at UNC-Charlotte. He completed dental school at Southern Illinois University and then specialized in pediatric dentistry at The University of Oregon. He and his family reside on the seacoast.

Just as there are specialists in medicine, there are specialists in dentistry. Orthodontists are dental specialists who dedicate their professional lives to correcting misaligned teeth and jaws. Orthodontists diagnose, treat and prevent dental and facial irregularities. They are uniquely trained to straighten teeth and align jaws.

Dr. Labadie is an experienced orthodontist who has joined our team in Plasitow. She grew up in Ohio before moving East for college at Cornell. From there, she went onto dental school at the University of Pittsburg and then specialized in Orthodontics at Tufts Dental School.

As a specialist in Orthodontics, Dr. Labadie brings to our group practice the ability to provide comprehensive orthodontic care to children and adults. Equally as important, she is well versed on the most modern orthodontic approaches, including INVISALIGN clear braces.

I have had nothing but wonderful things to say about everyone who works there until recently. Long story short and many phone calls later I was told "to find another dentist".

If I could leave zero stars I would. To start, this office lacks on their closed loop communication which leaves patients and parents having to repeat processes that are unnecessary. They seldom answer the phones. I spoke to the office a week prior to my daughter's impression's appt. She had been a patient for well over a year at the office at this point. The person on the phone insisted it was a first time consultation and I told her it was not and explained that my daughter was seen in February and told to have 3 extractions and to come back for this appt for her impressions. She said "oh okay I will let them know." The day of the appt I was not able to attend with my daughter and I called before the appt to let them know the sitter would be bringing her and asked if they needed anything from me. The woman said once again it was just a consult and I said "no these are impressions." She said "oh right we spoke about this last week". I asked her again if she needed anything from me to which she said "no we will do everything we need to do". After the appointment my daughter called me upset because they had not done the impressions even after she had gone through with the extractions. They told her to they couldn't do impressions without a legal guardian. They knew I wouldn't be there and had ample opportunity before the appt to tell me this was their new policy due to having a new ortho on staff. Instead they wasted my daughter's time and my money. When I spoke to a doctor today, who hadn't been the person to see my daughter, she had no answer for the incident besides "hey I don't know what to say besides sorry about the disconnect in communication". Now my daughter is not comfortable going back. I can't imagine being apart of an office that has such poor communication with their patients and parents. They could have rescheduled this. Edit to add: I had a conversation with the office before the appt to let them know she would be at her appt, that was scheduled as impressions two months ago, with her sitter and the front desk never informed me that the doctor was 3wks new to this practice and would not be following the plan set forth two months prior. We didn't need a consultation. We weren't new. Thanks for attempting to make this seem like a first time appt in your response Dr. Deb. Next time let your patients know the office is under a new doctor and will be undergoing changes that could affect their appointments.

There really is no other office like this in the area. It's bright and clean and the staff and doctors are fantastic. It is great that they also have an Orthodontist with them and I just heard our pediatricians are moving into the building as well. That will be so convenient!

They are THE BEST!!! Everyone is incredibly nice and great with kids. My son is on the spectrum and they do an amazing job of making him at ease and feeling comfortable with everything they do. I also love that they allow parents in with the kids unlike some pediatric dentists.

Today was my son's first experience at Plaistow Pediatric Dentistry. He was so nervous to go for his checkup. I must also add that we were coming off of a really terrible experience at a pediatric dentist in Andover. All I have to say about Plaistow Pediatric Dentistry is that it was a pleasure! The hygienist, Karen, took the time to get to know my son and explain everything to him. She actually made it a fun experience. Then when Dr. Deb came in, the laughs and smiles continued. She also took time to talk to us and explain everything about proper dental hygiene and when we can expect that first wiggly tooth! Not only are they providing the best dental care for kids, but they're making it a fun experience too! I highly recommend them!
