Our office provides complete family care. We have extended our services to include oral surgery (dental implants, bone grafting), endodontics (root canals), periodontics (gum treatment), and orthodontics (teeth straightening). Our goal is to meet all your dental needs
We offer preventative services that will keep your teeth healthy and maintain your dentition. At each preventative visit we remove plaque and calculus as well as complete a thorough examination of the oral cavity. We check for abnormalities and perform an oral cancer screening. Before departing our office you will receive a complimentary toothbrush and floss. We are serious about maintaining your smile!
We realize that cosmetics as well as function are important to our patients. To meet this need we offer a great variety of restorative procedures, including composites (white bonded fillings), porcelain crowns, crown on implants, as well as gold and amalgam restorations. It is important to us to not only restore your dentition with the latest materials available, but also to involve you in the decision making process. Together, we can select and place the best restoration for each circumstance.
Dr. Pizzarello has roots in the local area and is a graduate of Saugus High School. He received his undergraduate education at Merrimack College in No. Andover and completed his graduate dental education at the University of Michigan. Upon graduation, Dr. Pizzarello accepted a commission in the United States Navy. As a department head aboard the USS Seattle (AOE-3), he was responsible for the dental health of over 1,200 personnel of the Theodore Roosevelt Air Craft Battle Group. After separating from active duty he joined his business partner Dr. Silvestro and opened Family Dentistry in Stoneham. Professionally, Dr. Pizzarello loves to continuously bring the latest and greatest dentistry has to offer to his patients. Outside the office Dr. Pizzarello enjoys spending time with his children on Lake Winnipesauke.
Dr. Silvestro is a first generation Italian immigrant to the United States. She completed her high school education outside Venice, Italy where her family currently resides. Dr. Silvestro received a BS from Penn State University and later her Doctorate from the University of Michigan. Upon graduation she accepted a position in private practice in Illinois and later in New Jersey, prior to moving to the Boston area. Dr. Silvestros heritage is mixed between her Sicilian father and Spanish mother. She is fluent in her native tongue of Italian, as well as Spanish and English.
In 1999 the dental partners relocated their office to their new practice location at 546 Main St. Stoneham. On May 14th, 2001, she was blessed with the arrival of her first child, Sara Elizabeth. On September 27th, 2002, a second child, Peter Joseph was born. On December 2nd, 2004, David Adam was born. Her fourth and final child Mark Anthony was born on June 6th, 2006.

We were customers for years and happy with everyone we interacted with for cleaning and Dr. Silvestro has been lovely as well. I found it weird when Dr. Pizzarello would have a conversation with his staff while working on me. Left due to safety concern when Dr. Pizzarello told me that he doesn't think masks work as protection against COVID, puts on a mask when reminded by his staff but then turns around and take them off again, and my wife observed him speaking to a customer without a mask for an extended amount time (2021 Q4).

Dr Pizzarello is great! I always feel welcomed during my visits by a friendly staff and efficiently run office. They really work to address my concerns with my teeth and make me feel informed and at ease with all procedures. I'm happy to be a new patient of Family Dentistry!

At the time of my first visit I lived down the street from the office's of Pizzarello & Silvestro Family Dentistry so it was a quick decision to have them take care of my dental needs. That was 2009 and I've moved since then but I still go back to their beautiful offices on Main Street in Stoneham and will continue to so. If you're looking for a dentist you'll stay with...you just found it.

I've been a patient here for 7 years now and there is nowhere else I will go! Dr. Pizzarello's skills and talent are top notch and his staff are exemplary. I cannot say enough good things about this place. He happily removed all my wisdom teeth with ease when I otherwise would have had to see an oral surgeon. Yes "happily." I've never had a bad experience and I'm always happy to go there. Thank you!!

I have been a patient of Dr Pizzarello for about 9-10 years. He takes care of my whole family. He is a perfectionist when it comes to his craft and holds himself to the highest standards. If something is wrong he will make it right there is no grey area of in between. He truly enjoys what he does and uses the latest technology to allow him to give the best most accurate care available. Best dentist I ever had.

I lived in Boston for 9 years and never found a dentist I was comfortable with. Since moving to Stoneham, I have been to Pizzarello and Silvestro Family Dentistry twice and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The office is very clean and nice and all the staff is super friendly. I feel like everyone there truly cares about me and isn't just trying to take my money (which was my experience in Boston). I highly recommend Pizzarello and Silvestro.
