Wherever possible, we use non-surgical and minimally invasive methods of treatment. Even the most severe gum disease can be treated with our non-surgical periodontal procedure using the Perioscope. As periodontists, Dr. Bakuri and Dr. Azarnoush have received specialist training in placing dental implants, and Dr. Bakuri even trains other dentists in this procedure. In nearly all cases of moderate to severe gum disease, we can avoid surgery thanks to the Perioscope. We can achieve excellent results, even in difficult cases, without potentially painful cutting or suturing.
By capturing highly detailed, three-dimensional images with our CT cone beam scanner, we can find the best areas of jawbone for placing dental implants without the need for exploratory surgery. This means shorter healing times and much less discomfort.

Today, he is an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he teaches periodontics and implantology to dental students and residents. He is certified in IV sedation and he is also on the faculty at the Allegheny General Hospital. He has lectured on dental implant procedures for the American Academy of Periodontics and is a guest lecturer for universities and institutions throughout the U.S.

As board-certified periodontists, Drs. Bakuri and Azarnoush have specialized, advanced training in the field of dental implant placement. In addition, Dr. Bakuri also uses his experience and skill to teach other dental professionals about the procedure.
Dental implants that have been properly placed and maintained can last a lifetime. Conversely, implants that have been placed at incorrect depths, the wrong angle or are too close to other teeth can cause a multitude of problems.

Dr. Bakuri extracted my tooth. Will have to wait 3 months for implant process. Emily was terrific. I did not feel any of the Novocain injections. Jess was also terrific working with the doctor. Never had any pain. Dr. Bakuri is not only excellent he is very compassionate. Highly recommend this dental practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Weingarden for about 18 years, and have always had wonderful experiences. The office staff and hygienists are very welcoming and calming, and excellent at what they do. Jodie usually does my cleanings, but everyone is fabulous. The addition of Dr. Bakuri has been perfect. He's a wonderful dentist and a great fit for their team. I always feel that I will get the proper treatment for whatever type of dental issue arises, and I always leave their office feeling relieved and happy. I would highly recommend their office, especially if you have any type of serious dental problem.

My experience thusfar has been excellent with one minor exception: I have yet to see my dental surgeon without his mask on (Covid precautions notwithstanding) and have had virtually NO verbal interchange with him. His technical expertise is clearly superb and that's what counts for sure, but a bit of social interaction between Dr. and patient instills confidence. Trust me; I know what I"m talking about. I've practiced medicine for a long time.

I was calling around looking for a provider to for some dental work. I needed an extraction, bone graft, and implant. I called this office and the person attending to the phone made an appointment for me. I get to the appointment, and meet the doctor. He introduced himself as Sam, which I really liked. That put him on my level right there. We talked and did a few tests, scheduled a followup to plan for the procedure. I had the procedure done, and Sam (Dr. B) was EXCELLENT. The procedure was really easy for the amount of work I had done. Mind you that he had to flap up old gum to do a graft of a previous extraction site that was years old and suffered bone loss. At the end of the procedure he made sure I was good. He insisted that I contact him if any issues after hours. I have never had a dental provider like this. I recommend Sam to anyone who needs work that is in his scope of practice. He is SUPERIOR! His office and staff are excellent as well. I was blown away by how easy this was. I was under the impression of value shopping for dental work. That is not the way to do it. Do not worry about saving a buck when you are dealing with dental work. Just find the best provider that you can find. They will help you, and work with you. They are human, just like you are. I 1000% recommend and vouch for Dr. B (Sam), his office, and his staff. They are out of this world! FOLLOWUP From Today (09/22/22) - Returned back to the office to have more teeth extracted and grafted. Experience was the same. Pure excellence. The office staff all work together seamlessly to provide you with a great patient experience. From the front desk to the providers doing the work, everything is great.
