Don't waste your time here. Unprofessional staff, I schedule an appointment online which they sent me an email to do! When scheduled, they say it's to request an appointment not make the actual appointment. That's not what the online website states, email, or when you call in. They ask you to scheduled online!!! I take a day off and get my kids out of school early for this office to tell me I only requested an appointment, yet hear nothing from this office, even if requested one! Someone needs to fix the communication and website of this place and the horrible staff! Switching dentist ASAP

I had an 11:00 appointment today for my 5 and 9 year-old daughters and we arrived at 11:10. I was told we would have to reschedule because we were five minutes pass the allotted 5-minute grace period. I understand rules are rules, but this is why I have a problem: My daughter's have been patients here for 8 years and the mass majority of those appointments have hardly ever been called on time. Prime example: Our previous appointment in December was for 11:00, however, we didn't get called until 11:45. Did I complain? No. Mind you, this is almost an hour later and this is not the first time it has happened. To be frank, it happens quite often at this facility. But I didn't complain because I understand that things happen. So when I, for the first time in 8 years, miss your grace period by 5 minutes because of an issue I had the night before with my youngest daughter, I'm turned away. This is Pippin Dental's way of saying, "We can be as late as we want with your time, but the second you are late with our time, the rules are different. How dare you be 10 minutes late for your appointment, even though we were 45-minutes late with your previous appointment." Now I have to wait three weeks for my children to see another dentist at a different facility. It's obvious that they were running behind and used my unfortunate event as a way to trim their back-log. If you are going to stick so close to your scheduled appointment times, don't be as one-sided with it as you are. According to the operator at their corporate headquarters, someone will be calling me within the next 48-hours but I won't dare hold my breath.

UPDATE: As of today 8/2 I have still not heard from a representative of Pippin as I was told on the day in question I would. I recommend Children's Dental Center in Merrillville to anyone with children. Came to the location today to receive info on my son's last visit. Office closes at 5 p.m. we were able to walk in and there is no one inside of the facility. I called the 317 number and spoke to a rep. As I was leaving the workers came back. They argued with me stating the office closed a 330. I told them the office was not closed because I walked in. I also described the items left out on the counter. Horrible facility and customer service.

I recently returned to this dental office and soon remembered why I left. I had an appointment at 11am, but because I asked questions they had me in waiting room for an hr before being seen by a hygienist. I they also use 1 towel to clean dental equipment and furniture.

This office said my 13 yo needed 13 cavities drilled, my 12 yo needed 5 driled, & my 7 yo needed 7 drilled. I took them for a 2nd opinion. My 13yo only needs 2 cavities fixed. My 12 yo has none but needs braces. This office is a total scam & only wants the money so they are pushing unnecessary procedures causing kids pain & discomfort for money. Absolutely horrible practice! They need to be shutdown!

Took my grandkids here. They told us that my grandson had 10 cavities. We got a second opinion and he really only had 3. While we were there the hygienist after cleaning my first grade granddaughters teeth said "I think she isn't brushing her teeth and just wetting the tooth brush. Right in front of my granddaughter. She just looked at me and said I promise Granny I am brushing my teeth. Very unprofessional. I can't believe she said that right in front oh her. We will never go there again.

Incluso en una hora la persona que hace los rayos X casi se acabo una caja de guantes por tanto cambio que hacia para limpiar el area entre cada paciente! Fue una visita simple cuando es la primera vez obviamente, y espero que sea asi la segunda visita, cuando ya vaya a su cita de tratamiento.

Had an appointment for my kids at 1:45 (arrived early for paperwork) they sat in chairs at 3:11 didnt leave till 4:15. Seems like wait times are become longer every time I come here. Considering looking elsewhere to take my kids. Having been coming here since it was Kool Smiles. Staff is great to my children and make sure they okay.

My daughters dentist. She is 8 and we have been coming to this location since it was Kool Smiles. When it switched to pippin I was a little worried but Pippin blew my mind. A to Z this location is absolutely amazing!!!! They always treat my daughter and me with respect. I never have to worry about my daughter being confortable while having procedures done, they do offer gas if needed. They actually listen to the patients. When the doctors have to explain things they explain in detail and in a way that is easily understood. They are always able to answer any questions or concerns i have. We will be coming here as long as it is still here. We drive an hour to come to this location and it is 10000000% worth it. My daughter loves going to the dentist because of pippin. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I would give 999 stars if I could.

VERY RUDE! & I FEEL PLAYED WITH AND DISRESPECTED HONESTLY. I been going here since a kid when the name of the dentist was "Kool Smiles". Everything was so much better when it was "Kool Smiles". When I first made my appointment I mentioned that I was scheduling because of the pain in my tooth. Also, I said something about the pain when I went to the back. After calling up there because they didn't even send my medicine to the correct location they told my mother I never said anything about pain in my tooth; calling me a liar practically. I will not be returning. My medicine was supposed to be put in Dec 23rd and I'm just now getting it today as of Jan 10th. I missed my upcoming dentist appointment on purpose because I'd rather find a new dentist. Btw if I can give zero stars I would

They almost killed my daughter in pain, my daughter is only 3 years old. They gave her anesthesia without paying attention to her and my daughter bit her own lip. now she has an infection that nearly kills her. I called for an emergency visit and they did not care, they told me I would have to wait until the next appointment! never bring your children here, they aren't professionals! Bad service , becareful when you are taking children to this clinic. Reason, one of them children mistaking child file, waiting for more then an hour, , receptionist needs to be trained how to talk people, also leaving the child the laughing gas for to long ,while waiting for denti

We've been coming here for years. Usually there's little to no wait time. I schedule both of my kids (age 3 and 11) at the same time. We're in and out. Everyone is super nice and really good with helping the kids' fears of the dentist.

I went here when I was four and they were harsh on my teeth and when they gave me the x-ray also the place was really boring. -0/10 would not recommend

These people are so rude, exactly why they only have 2.5 stars! You get what you see! Ignorance! Don't even answer the phone and will hang up on you after being on hold for 30 minutes! Etc I just have better things to do than write a story on ignorance lol
