I graduated from the University of CA, Berkeley, with a degree in Nutrition and Food Science with an emphasis in Clinical Dietetics. After dedicating many years working with patients, I redirected my energy, went back to college and received my MBA in Healthcare Administration.
Traveling throughout the United States, I worked as an Account Executive and Lead Trainer for the State of CA, Delta Dental, Mobil Oil and multiple law firms before I decided to devote my attention to raising my two children and staying closer to home.
Hi, my name is Chandra, and I'm a Registered Dental Hygienist here at Pinole Family Dental. Not only am I an employee but I have been a patient here since I was 13 years of age. In fact, my entire family, including my nieces, nephew and daughter are all patients here!
Prior to becoming a Dental Hygienist, I served in the United States Navy from 2000- 2004. After completing 4 years of service, I decided to change career paths to study Hygiene at one of the most highly accredited dental hygiene schools, Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA. I'm looking forward to meeting all patients and providing the best service possible. I will make it my personal promise to strive for excellence in your favor.
With a background in advertising, marketing, and public relations, I began my career as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1995. I first came to Stokes Dental Care for a one-day temporary position as a favor for a friend. That one day evolved into working fulltime for eighteen years and I continue to serve our wonderful patients under Drs. Mandi & Marc Chinnas leadership at Pinole Family Dental.
My name is Iesha (pronounced: eye-E-sha). I graduated in 2011 with my dental assisting degree. My love for helping others pushed me to get my Registered Dental Assistant license. I love arts and crafts, summertime by the beaches. My husband and four kids are my world! I am so honored to be a part of Pinole Family Dental.
I graduated from Sacramento State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Heath Science in 2013. I always knew I wanted to work in the health care field. One day, after graduating college, I went to get my teeth cleaned and was inspired by my childhood hygienist to apply for dental hygiene school. After attending DVC's Dental Hygiene Program in 2017, I started my dental hygiene career.
I have a huge heart for travel (I caught the travel bug!), and have enjoyed traveling to new places like Portugal, where my family is from. I am proud of my Portuguese and Black culture. I also enjoy spending time with my family, friends and my YorkiePoo 'Brody.'
I love to spend time with my large Portuguese-American family. In my spare time, I love to read, spend time with my Doberman named Whiskey, and relax at home with my husband. I just got married in November 2018 and Im excited to start a family soon.
I completed my Bachelor of Health Science at Fresno State in 1996. I movedto the Bay Area in 2001 and worked in the field of Juvenile Probation for about 10 years. I, then, obtained my Certificate in Dental Hygiene in 2007 from Diablo Valley College (DVC). I am an active member of the California Dental Hygiene Association and hold the position as a Student Liaison. I have had the opportunity to hold positions on state and local levels and at the Community College for Dental Hygiene. I love Dental Hygiene and takes my professionseriously. My goal is to provide Oral Health information to patients by staying updated and focused.
In my free time, I love to volunteer and take continuing education classes. I enjoy time with my family and like to cook, watch the Food Network and play bingo. I especially love to bake and decorate beautiful cakes, cupcakes and cake pops for family and friends.
A Bay Area native, I used to work in the airline industry before deciding to pursue a career in health care. I genuinely enjoy working with people to achieve their best health. My goal is for all to have a positive experience in the dental office. I graduated from Diablo Valley College (DVC) Dental Hygiene with Honors. I'm an avid traveler, runner, and love to cook!
Hi, my name is Tracy and I started my career as a Dental Assistant in August 2020. Marley, my American Bully dog, is my everything! I enjoy riding on my Peloton bike and going on hikes. Pinole Family Dental is a great office to work for and I am grateful that Drs. Mandi and Marc gave me an opportunity to work for them

I've been going to Pinole Family Dental for many years. Pinole Family dental must be some of the most caring people on the planet. In addition, they are thorough, detailed, and they have been outstanding - I'm am soooooo happy with the folks. The hygienists best in care I've experienced and the Dr.s check are involved in the care of the patients.

I have been going to Pinole Family Dental (Dr. Stokes) since I was a kid (30+ years)! The transition has been seemless, I am really happy that Val remains a staple of the team, and the care has always been excellent. They have kept up with the latest in dental care/technology, and I can't imagine going any place else.

I have come to expect compassionate care from Pinole Family Dental and my last visit was no exception. Interestingly, I realized that I don't dread dental visits. My hygienist and I have a collaborative relationship and she gently guides me when my at home care isn't working. I know they are going to look at my overall well-being during my visit (BP, prescription changes, etc.) and I appreciate that reminder that everything is connected. When the Doc comes in to do my check up and I know that they are going to be proactive (time to deal with some old fillings). Val is a deep reservoir of information and I can count on her to help me maximize my insurance coverage and plan for the entire year so I'm getting what I pay for. PFD is TRULY "family" and the care I receive keeps me coming back.

This office provides top-notched all around services! The dental assistants are friendly, genuinely caring, and very skillful with a gentle touch. The office manager is very professional, pleasant and efficient. Dr. Chhina is far above many dentists I have experienced in the past; she is kind, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and highly skilled in her profession. The office is clean, organized and very welcoming. I highly recommend them.

Pinole Family Dental has such outstanding staffs and the doctor was incredible! From the moment I made my appointments for my self and children and going into the office for the appointments everyone in there were so welcoming. My youngest gets anxiety when going to the dentist and they made him feel so welcoming he was so happy that he is looking forward for his next visit. All these wonderful ladies are truly amazing. Thank you for making my family and I part of your dental family!
