I love Dr. Pino! He has been my dentist since I was a kid. His entire staff is competent and friendly and I always have a pleasant experience despite having anxiety about going to the dentist. Would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Pino is a quack who either cannot read an x-ray or wants your money. Run, don't walk, to find a new dentist. I was his patient for a few years, and my family longer. We never had a problem with him, however, we all have very strong teeth and have never needed to see him more than for a six month teeth cleaning. However, this spring, when I attended my teeth cleaning, he told me that one of my teeth looked "weird" in the x-ray. When i asked what that meant, he didn't elaborate. When I asked if i needed to do anything, such as brush it more, he joked and said "Yeah, brush it," ignoring my question. He asked if it hurt, I truthfully told him no, and he said "Okay, I'll see you in 6 months." He did not give me any information on what to look out for. Then, a few days later, that tooth and those around it started hurting, but I assumed it was pain from my retainer as I had gone a short amount of time without wearing it, and that was not abnormal in those situations, and it was more than just that tooth that was bothering me. A week later, that pain turned into sharp throbbing/shooting pain in my jaw on that entire side of my mouth. Having never had a tooth problem before, I thought it was TMJ, since that runs in my family. I took Advil, but after a week, the Advil stopped working and I was in constant pain. I called Pino's office, but they were closed (they close at 1pm on a Wednesday...), so i called his emergency line. I told about him my pain, he agreed it was likely TMJ, and told me to take Advil even after I said it wasn't working. I reminded him of that, and he didn't care, and said "That's the best i can do for you." I was out of state, so I went to a primary care doctor who immediately cared about my pain and gave me a stronger version of Ibuprofen and also a muscle relaxer. I immediately felt so much relief. Then, I woke up the next day with an abscess on my gum right outside the tooth in question. That doctor recommended a dentist in the area and gave me antibiotics for the infection. The new dentist said I needed a root canal, showed me his x-ray where the root was very obviously decayed, and explained that it's so bad that I'll need an extra visit to finish filling it. He also informed me that it is incredibly rare for people my age (21) to need a root canal, let alone one this bad, especially since I have a history of strong teeth otherwise. It takes at least a year, if not years, for a cavity to get so large and infected that it needs a root canal like this. I've never missed an appointment. What's his excuse? Not only did this cost me thousands above my dental insurance to fix, but at the end of it all, Pino called my mother to "apologize," not even me. Oh, and he told her not to let me write a review. It seems like that he cares more about his reputation than his patients' wellbeing. TLDR: Pino saw a problem on the x-ray but refused to look into it, brushed off the intense nerve pain I told him about, and I needed an intense emergency root canal. He is either incompetent for not seeing this on the x-ray or manipulating patients into waiting longer for treatment so it's more expensive. Either way, that's not the kind of dentist I want to see. I would never recommend him to anyone I know, and in fact, I've told this story to anyone I know who is his patient. I figured Google Review readers deserved the same warning.

Dr. Pino and his exceptional staff go out of their way to provide the best dental experience possible. The front desk is efficient and extremely personable, the office is very clean and the hygienists/Dr. Pino very gentle. Would highly recommend!

Was a patient for years and woke up with swollen gum. I called for an emergency visit and was pushed off to an endodontist. Endodontist won't see you without seeing dentist first. Had to find a new dentist. New dentist said just a small infection. No need to go to endodontist.
