Dr. Hyun-Dong Kim is an ambitious and personable general dentist, who loves his work and really enjoys building relationships with his patients. He believes that communication and comfort are essential, and really treats all his patients like his own family.
Dr. Kim earned his Bachelors degree from the University of Michican, Ann Arbor. He went on to earn his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from theUniversityofMichiganSchoolofDentistry where he developed a keen interest in implant dentistry. He continued his dental training by attending Einstein Medical Centers General Practice Residency. There he gained extensive training in the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants, rotary endodontics (root canals), and cosmetic dentistry.

I have been coming here for 8 years and he is great. He saved a tooth that the endodontist could not and this was impressive. Great office and great staff!

Dr. Kim and his staff always provide excellent care with the human touch of concern & sense of humor. They are an excellent team. Kudos for putting all these people under one roof. An otherwise stressful day is altered into an enjoyable experience.

Excellent care and friendly staff Couldn't ask for anything better Now they have a Panoramic x ray machine so no longer have to have those uncomfortable things in your mouth

I had a dental implant loosen which made it very difficult and uncomfortable to eat. The implant was placed by another dentist. Unfortunately after I scheduled a visit with Dr. Kim I tested positive for Covid. Dr Kim called me and asked me to take a video of my implant so that he could determine how loose it was. He then called back and advised me on how to remove it myself. I thought it was a very innovative use of technology and the outcome was positive. I am without discomfort and able to eat easily until I can safely go into the office. Kudos to Dr Kim and all the staff at Pinnacle family dental.

Just had my first post-COVID visit for myself and my 4 year old. The office staff is really friendly and helpful, and they've handled billing well. Both the dentist and hygienist were very gentle, explained things clearly and took good care of us. I was especially grateful for how the dentist collaborated with my Invisalign provider and how the hygienist was really kind with my kiddo who HATES going to the doctor. He was totally calm the whole visit and she let him have his Switch in the chair, pick his toothpaste & flouride flavors, and play with the instruments. It didn't even phase him to be there.

Update: My family has continued with Dr. Kim's practice and a follow-on from today's visit is that I cannot upgrade my previous review ... because it already hit the ceiling of 5 stars Review from 2018: I have been seen by 5 dentists during my 17 years of residing in HoCo and have had greatly varying experiences so I am in a position to compare. Mr. Kim is an accomplished doctor whose fine professional expertise and personal qualities prompt me to highly recommend him, wholeheartedly and without any reservation! He stays up-to-date with modern equipment for evaluation and treatment in his practice and, just as importantly, takes his time to explain to any patient with an issue what needs to be done and all available treatment options. All in all, Dr. Kim and all his staff are very caring and professional.

The staff is very friendly and attentive and the doctor always explains any recommendations he has in detail. Unlike other doctor's offices, I do not feel like one of many cattle at Pinnacle Family Dental.
