Before beginning his dental career, Dr. Jang graduated cum laude from Midwestern State University. He earned his DDS from the Dental School at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, ranked the fourth best program in the world in terms of published articles and eleventh in scientific impact, according to an international report by the Center for Science and Technology Studies in Bern, Switzerland. To further develop his clinical skills, he pursued an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Veterans Administration in Temple, Texas. Through this residency, he gained high proficiency in cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, oral surgery, implant placement and restoration, IV sedation, oral sedation, and other techniques. He also learned how to properly provide the most appropriate treatment plans for each patient, putting long-term dental health first.
Dr. Jang was born in South Korea. He and his family moved to the U.S. when he was fifteen, and he was raised by his parents and grandmother, who taught him the values of love and caring for others. Having witnessed the sacrifices his parents had to make both in terms of hard work and time away from family, he chose to pursue a career in dentistry based on his desire to care for others and to have quality time to spend with his family.
Dr. Jang is active in his community and is involved in the young adult ministry at his local church. He is also an avid fisherman and enjoys the outdoors, travelingand eating especially Korean food, sushi, and BBQ. As he says, meat, in general, is a good thing. Dr. Jang and his wife, Jin, are proud parents of their three beautiful kids, Karsten, Annabella, and Kayla. Dr. Jang enjoys working at Pinnacle Dental and strives to treat his patients like family.
Dr. Ahn was born in Seoul, South Korea. He attended his FIRST dental school at Yonsei University in South Korea and obtained his DDS degree in 2001. He also successfully completed the orthodontic postgraduate residency program at the same school with Masters degree in Dental Science. He practiced in a well-known orthodontic practice in Seoul and was actively involved in research in orthodontics for many years. Then, he decided to extend his expertise by studying abroad in the States. He then attended his SECOND dental school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and obtained another DDS degree in 2010.
He was to go back home to South Korea, but his family fell in love with this beautiful country and decided to stay. They were tired of the snow and cold weather in Michigan, so they decided to move south and call themselves Texans.
He has been providing orthodontic treatment in DFW area since 2010 and has provided beautiful smiles for thousands of his patients. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association. He is an Invisalign certified provider. He is a board certified orthodontist in South Korea and Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists.
He has been married to his wife for over 15 years and they have two princesses, Jimin and Hamin. He likes to play many sports like tennis, golf, ping pong, snowboarding, etc. But above all, he loves to spend quality time with his princesses the most.
