Before beginning his dental career, Dr. Jang graduated cum laude from Midwestern State University. He earned his DDS from the Dental School at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, ranked the fourth best program in the world in terms of published articles and eleventh in scientific impact, according to an international report by the Center for Science and Technology Studies in Bern, Switzerland. To further develop his clinical skills, he pursued an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Veterans Administration in Temple, Texas. Through this residency, he gained high proficiency in cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, oral surgery, implant placement and restoration, IV sedation, oral sedation, and other techniques. He also learned how to properly provide the most appropriate treatment plans for each patient, putting long-term dental health first.
Dr. Jang was born in South Korea. He and his family moved to the U.S. when he was fifteen, and he was raised by his parents and grandmother, who taught him the values of love and caring for others. Having witnessed the sacrifices his parents had to make both in terms of hard work and time away from family, he chose to pursue a career in dentistry based on his desire to care for others and to have quality time to spend with his family.
Dr. Jang is active in his community and is involved in the young adult ministry at his local church. He is also an avid fisherman and enjoys the outdoors, travelingand eating especially Korean food, sushi, and BBQ. As he says, meat, in general, is a good thing. Dr. Jang and his wife, Jin, are proud parents of their three beautiful kids, Karsten, Annabella, and Kayla. Dr. Jang enjoys working at Pinnacle Dental and strives to treat his patients like family.
Dr. Ahn was born in Seoul, South Korea. He attended his FIRST dental school at Yonsei University in South Korea and obtained his DDS degree in 2001. He also successfully completed the orthodontic postgraduate residency program at the same school with Masters degree in Dental Science. He practiced in a well-known orthodontic practice in Seoul and was actively involved in research in orthodontics for many years. Then, he decided to extend his expertise by studying abroad in the States. He then attended his SECOND dental school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and obtained another DDS degree in 2010.
He was to go back home to South Korea, but his family fell in love with this beautiful country and decided to stay. They were tired of the snow and cold weather in Michigan, so they decided to move south and call themselves Texans.
He has been providing orthodontic treatment in DFW area since 2010 and has provided beautiful smiles for thousands of his patients. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association. He is an Invisalign certified provider. He is a board certified orthodontist in South Korea and Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists.
He has been married to his wife for over 15 years and they have two princesses, Jimin and Hamin. He likes to play many sports like tennis, golf, ping pong, snowboarding, etc. But above all, he loves to spend quality time with his princesses the most.

Update spoke with Dr. Jang and explained why I initially gave a 1 star rating. Dr. Jang apologized to me on behalf of his staff and informed me that he would address the issues with his staff. Update: Went back in after speaking with Maria to get my tooth extracted. The tooth had a very bad infection so it did hurt but Dr. Jang, Maria and Yvette were very patient held my hand and made sure to assist me with my breathing. Gave me excellent care. However I still have issues with front desk Jen. She didnt realize my daughter was in lobby and tried to spin the story of when I was there trying to take blame off herself. I like this dental office but front needs a overhaul. Made a appoinment for an emergency extraction. Received a text to confirm info. Contact them to verify cost spoke with Jennifer who stated I see your coming in for xrays and cleaning so thats all covered at 100%. I said No im coming in for extraction. She places me on hold but comes back in such a hurry to get off phone that when I asked the cost she still stated your covered so it wont be a cost. Fast forward to today I go into the office with just my DL and keys and right away im told I have to pay $139. Then when I stated I called yesterday and I was told its all covered she tried to back track. Then said oh I can ask the dentist if we can bill you and of course he said no. So she said we can still do your cleaning and reschedule the extraction. Mind you I never made a appointment for cleaning but why in the hell would I want a cleaning when I came for a extraction. Needless to say Im looking for a new dentist now. So over this place.

Edit: For the whole the team is incredibly professional and caring. The dentist was amazing in his care of my mother and Maria was very helpful and comforting. The only issue was one with ONE member of the front desk in particular, but this has since been discussed and they have spoken with the team member. We don't hold any grudges towards anyone there including the team member, as we both have worked in fields that require customer service and understand mistakes can happen, but one must own up to them. Overall Pinnacle Dental has been a great office and they solve an issue with a tooth that many dentists had previously only done damage to. We will be coming back. Thank you! Original post for clarification (will be here temporarily): You should teach your front desk people not to talk about patients/customers while their daughters are sitting their waiting on them - if they're smart. Jennifer and the other assistant she was talking to. Or not to talk about customers in general - if you're smart. One star rude and no customer service, except for Maria and a few others whose names I did not get but will. They're great.
