We are dedicated to providing patients with exceptional care and are passionate about staying updated with the latest technological advances in dentistry.
He then completed additional training in the General Practice Residency in Dentistry at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania in 1986. Dr. Goding went on to become the Director of the GPR program at York Hospital until 2000 where he was responsible for teaching newly graduated dentists as well as senior dental students from all over the East coast.
He is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the Maine Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He completed the Master Track program in the AGD with over 1100 hours of continuing education. He is also a fellow of the American Association of Hospital Dentists.
He and his beautiful wife Marianne reside in Cumberland. He has 4 adult children. In his spare time he enjoys running, photography, reading and being outdoors to enjoy all 4 seasons of Maine have to offer.

We love Pineland Family Dentistry. Our dental hygienist, Katy, goes above and beyond for our mother and son visits. She is professional, kind and beyond thoughtful. As an example of the above and beyond customer experience they deliver, she engaged my son in conversation every time we visit and talked to him about his love of snowmobiling. He happened to be chosen for a reward for being the child of the month with no cavities. His reward was a very cool snowmobile toy, electric toothbrush and a carpenter toy. It was very touching that she recalled from our visit 6 months prior that my son loves snowmobiling and idolizes his father who is a carpenter. She does an amazing job cleaning our teeth and providing tips to my son on how to keep up his great job at brushing his teeth and flossing. Doctor Goding is also wonderful too, as are the kind and efficient frontend staff! Overall, our experience has been so positive. I would highly recommend this dentist office.

Best practice and people ever. I had a gum issue but was headed out of town. Dr.Goding and his team got me in for a 7:30am appt, got me squared away, and then called in my prescription at a pharmacy in Vermont where I was headed on business. These folks care about their patients!

Dr. Goding is not only an exceptional dentist he is also an excellent person. He extracted a rear lower molar and saved the day! He is calming and regards you as a person, not a paycheck. I cannot say enough of the staff...very kind and willing to help when you need it the most...overall my experience was by far one of the very best I have ever had and that's saying a lot about a dentist! Dr. Goding is involved and cares about his patients. He gave me a follow up call on the same evening of the extraction just to check in on me...exceptional as I said...many thanks to Dr. Goding and the staff there...

Best dental practice! They are all so personable and friendly. They explain everything that they're doing and are 100% thorough. My children don't even mind going for their check-ups. If you are nervous or have ever had a bad dental experience I highly recommend going to these guys

I visited this dentist once and got weird vibes from the hygienist. No big deal. My second cleaning was the most horrific and unprofessional experience I've ever had at a dentist. Jeanne, the hygienist was rude, condescending, uninformative and seemed like she shouldn't be working in this field any longer. She was rough on my teeth, mind you I've been getting cleanings every six months my ENTIRE life, so I know what a cleaning should be like. She left the room for 5+ minutes at a time, leaving me fully declined in the chair with no explanation. After I finally get out of the chair, I was asked to sign a treatment plan with all sorts of estimates on it. I'm a young person so I'm not experienced with these things. I asked Jeanne to explain this form and why I was asked to sign it. No explanation whatsoever, so I declined the "treatment plan." To which I heard others talking about in the back room. I sent a letter to express my concerns and ask for my information to be forwarded to my new dentist. I wasn't answered and my insurance wasn't forwarded.

Great 1st impression. The office was impeccably clean and comfortable.. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. My 1st exam was thorough and their care plan for moving forward was comprehensive.

My last visit here was unusually bad. My family receives good care here most of the time, so we won't be moving yet, but I won't recommend this dentist to anyone. I declined a service offered, due to cost, and the receptionist, hygienist, and dentist all loudly remarked on how much they disagreed with my decision from the next room, where I could clearly overhear them. I was surprised at this unusually unprofessional behavior. I expect better from my health care providers, specifically, respecting my ability to provide informed consent to or decline services offered. UPDATE: Dr. Goding called me on the phone at home after seeing my review, to maintain that he didn't "say anything" unprofessional. That does not excuse my experience in his office, and I found this phone call unsolicited and hostile. I spoke civilly to him. His tone was inappropriate and he took no accountability for his and his office's unprofessional behavior. He did not apologize to me. We will be switching dentists.

This dentist office is the best I have ever gone to, wherever I've lived in the past 66 years. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and I've never had a bad experience there in my 10+ years as a patient. I once broke a crown on a day they were closed and, because Dr. Goding provides his personal phone number, I contacted him and he agreed to meet me at his office to do a temporary fix to get me through the weekend. He subsequently replaced the crown free of charge, telling me it should not have broken and, since he put it in a year or two earlier, he would stand behind his work. I don't think you can ask for more than that, in terms of patient service. I highly recommend Pineland Family Dentistry.
