Helping our children is the important part of what Pine Dentistry does for families. Were making sure that all children have access to dental care services. Pine Dentistry is committed to reducing the need for future extensive dental work & keeping kids healthy through preventative dental care & a range of community & educational programs.

The number of children not visiting the dentist or going to hospital ERs in Washington, D.C. tells us too many kids lack the primary dental care they need to prevent serious dental issues. Because these health issues can impact childrens ability to perform their best in school & live a successful life. Were finding ways to help kids get the dental care they need by accepting Medicaid & Commercial Insurance, Resolution Dental Discount Plan for families without insurance, school-based dental care visits & more.

Through our Kool Smiles Kids Club, kids (no matter their age) have the opportunity to earn rewards, grow & reach their unlimited potential. With an emphasis on creativity & values, Kool Smiles Kids Club helps give kids a sense of self, making a powerful contribution to their oral care health. Parents & families tell us their kids club experience helped diminish fear & instill confidence in their children.

Safely straighten your teeth discreetly, without letting anyone else know. We offer faster treatment times & can subtly straighten your smile & no one will know. Reveal Clear aligners are also removeable so, there are no restrictions on foods you can eat. Just remove them & eat or drink anything you want.

Probably yes. Clear aligners are appropriate for many teens and adults looking to straighten their teeth. To see if clear aligners are right for you, please schedule a FREE smile assessment with your dentist. Your dentist will provide you with a comprehensive oral exam to confirm candidacy for clear aligners.

If youre looking to straighten your teeth but want a more aesthetic solution, consider clear aligners. Clear aligners are a series of trays that move your teeth slowly to bring them into alignment. Treatment can include up to 30 trays, and each tray is worn for two weeks.

We were referred by our primary dentist, believing this was a reputable establishment. We were initially given one payment plan through our insurance and began treatment for clear aligners. At the next visit, we were told the insurance price had increased and were given a new treatment and payment plan. The doctor made quite a few promises, including flexibility of schedule, working with my college student and travel dates, description of procedures and projection for what the end results should be. She promised to show pictures as we went along, also promising to provide computer generated photos of what the end results would look like. At each subsequent session, we heard the same promises, but were given no pictures. All throughout the year and 1/2 process, it was difficult to schedule appointments. No one would answer the phone, and no one returned phone calls, for long periods of time. We had to visit in person to get answers to questions. Part way through this year and 1/2, we began to question to direction of the treatment and whether it was going according to plan. (Based on visuals, it did not appear so.) Many of the initial processes described were not done and the stories kept changing. Several months ago, a new doctor took over the practice; we were never informed of the change. We were told the new doctor did not have the proper records and we would have to wait for answers to questions. We were also told the practice did not have the type of technology to provide the computer-generated photos we were initially promised. Now, the new doctor is unavailable for a month and apparently leaving the practice after that. The office has made no effort to satisfactorily resolve our situation and cannot say who will provide treatment should we continue with this practice. We are at the end of the clear aligners and the end results are not satisfactory. The post-treatment recommendations are impossible because the new doctor is unavailable. This is an extremely sad situation of a business taking advantage of the customer and not fulfilling obligations. The customer service is terrible; we would never recommend this establishment.

When this office opened up initially it was a great provider for dental services. At this point it's a joke. They practically removed my children from their seats and returned them to the front until they could reach the insurance company for confirmation. Afterwards it was all downhill from there. It took over an hour for the dentist to look at my 2nd child and the information she gave about my son sounded like she was trying to get more money. This is our last visit. We miss Dr. Lyons

My children and I have been coming here for years and I'm very comfortable with this staff and so are my children. But today 8/11/22 this made the difference from all the visits. The staff was incredibly fast. Extremely clean, very warm welcoming and my children were super comfortable and trusting towards the staff. I'm blessed to share such an amazing experience I've had today and look forward to coming back again

got there for my appointment & was told they wouldn't be able to fill all my cavities due to them closing in an hr. then they said it would take 45 min to fill half my mouth. after they started, it was excruciating pain for 15 min to get ALL them filled, unlike their initial statement. since my visit, my teeth are now worse, & my cavities were never filled. -20/10

There is not a time I have been to this place and not waited for less than 30 minutes. Today I was here by 3:45 , my child's appointment was supposed to be at 4.00pm, it's now 4:30pm and not been called yet to get the service we are here for. They are very efficient though to ask you to update the payment method. The other visit I met a very rude receptionist on the orthodontist side. They do not apologize for keeping you waiting for almost an hour. If I find another orthodontist who actually values the money we are spending on their practice ,I will be back to share the number and location.

My kids been a patient of this practice for years. Lately there has been major scheduling issues. My son has been scheduled wrong or rescheduled and at this point its time to say goodbye. I do not know what happened to the service after the name change but it has definitely gone down hill. My son has been rescheduled so many times at short notice. Its a huge inconvenience, we are working parents that have to take time off from work. The first time is understood but this has happen so many times.

How do you rate less than zero. My son had his braces done there and it has been a horrible mistake that was made. This entire process has been nothing short of a nightmare. Initially there was a billing issue, that was rectified and he started going back for treatment at least a year or possibly more later. The next thing the orthodontist recommends him to have a frenectomy done and then he would get his braces off. We did the process of both frenectomy and gingivectomy. I called explained the need for the appointment and the appointment was made. I didn't find out that he should've had another appointment for an adjustment until after the braces were removed and an appointment for retainer was made. They canceled the retainer appointment and I asked to speak with the doctor. The doctor screamed at me telling it was my fault that the braces were taken off early. I asked how, because I don't know what you have him scheduled to do. She said because I made the appointment to have the braces removed. I tried explaining to her that because you said once he had the recommended frenectomy done then the braces should come off. I wouldn't know that she thought he should do another adjustment. I've emailed Pine Dentistry to get an appointment for the retainer and no one responds. I don't feel that we were treated fair in this entire process. He needs the retainer so his teeth won't shift. The retainer is part of the entire cost of braces and should be done by this office. I've enquired with another office and it will cost $500 out of pocket. I've spoken with my insurance office and they asked that I try reaching your office again for a resolution before they will get involved. I've even been advised by my attorney to reach out for someone to assist me or we go to court for that portion of the already paid fee to be returned to me and I go elsewhere for the retainer to be done. I'm really lost on all of this and would like this taken care of.

The front desk is very unprofessional, inconsiderate of children that they would have children waiting from 9am-4pm 7 hours after appointment times. You come early for nothing. My child missed all day of school for no reason. They are over booking and have no courteousness or respect for your time. Its a great dental establishment. But the people and organization is disgusting. Absolutely do not recommend to anyone. On top of the disrespect they changed my appointment without contacting me. I Will never go here again.

I love Kool smiles/Pine dentistry my children normally go to your Hechinger location. Your district height's location had a sooner appointment. I was expecting the same type of care and treatment that my family receive at that location. This is a little dishearten to write. My very first visit time at your District height's location started off smooth until one of your dental hygienist questioned my 17yr told daughter about her vaccination status. I asked her to stopped and clean my daughter teeth, this isn't what we came here for. Yet she continued until I elevated my voice and demanded that she stop. I reported the incident to patient satisfaction on 08/06/2021 the very next day and was told someone would get back to me. It's almost a month later and no one has called me. I called to the office and even visited on 08/30/2021 and was told by the front desk that the manager sent it to her district manager. Yet no one has called. There are children under the age of 12 who can't get vaccinated and there are people who can't get vaccinated due to allergies. For your staff member to question (almost like she's reprimanding) my daughter is very unprofessional and unacceptable. For management and patient satisfaction to treat this situation so lightly is very unprofessional and dishearten. Your company need classes in customer care and sensitivity training.

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. Took my daughter in for a consultation. Came about 15/20mins earlier. There were 6 people who came in after and signed in that were seen before my daughter. I then asked if i could speak to a manager the Spanish lady walked to the back and someone then called my daughter. He then stated well your appointment was at 12. It's now 115 as I'm writing. They're rude AF!!!! Not organized!! Always overbooked! But if you're late they want u to reschedule

I absolutely HATE THIS PLACE! DO NOT GO HERE! When it was Kool Smiles, they had small issues, but they were doable. But since it has changed over to Pine Dentistry I have CONSTANTLY had an issue with calling to changed or to make an appointment, BUT THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE! EVER! Its very very very irritating! The Ortho side gave me a date an time to come in one day and when we got there, they said that that side was not open that day. I took my son out of school, just for them to turn him around. I showed them the card that they had given me and said that there wasn't anything they could do. My last encounter with one of the Dr.'s there was about 2 weeks ago. I forgot her name, but she looked to be Asian. (Definitely one of the new Dr's there since switching over) Well I told her that my son was not sociable at all. And when she tried to interact with him for the first time, and he cried she caught an attitude, walked away and said "I can't do this today." And sent someone else over to work with my 2 year old. Please spare your sanity and find somewhere else to go! I am definitely finding another place for my sons to go. UPDATE:: As you can see I was told to call this number to speak to someone. But every time I call and follow the prompts to speak to someone, all it does it repeat it self saying "press 0 to speak to an operator" I do not have a contact name or extension to move forward. So I'm still STUCK NOT ABLE TO GET ASSISTANCE.

This place is an absolute mess. The wait is always way too long, and that's when you're able to get an appointment. The only thing good about this site is the two at the front desk. Every time I have to come here there is an issue or hold up of some sort. Very unprofessional!
