Dr. Pierce received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1996. She then earned her dental degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia in 2001. As a student, Dr. Pierce was awarded the Joseph E. Ewing study club scholarship for clinical excellence two years in a row.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and the Coastal District. She has served as an adjunct professor for the Medical University of South Carolina overseeing students at the ECCO Clinic in Mt. Pleasant. She has also volunteered her skills and services treating patients at the ECCO Clinic.
Shannon is the first voice you hear when you call Pierce Family Dentistry. She has been in the dental field for over twenty years. Shannon worked as a dental assistant in endodontics and general dentistry prior to moving to office manager, a position she currently enjoys. She received her bachelors degree from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC.
Shannon is a South Carolina native from Columbia. She has been in the Charleston area since 1992. She lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband and has two college aged kids that are her pride and joy. In her free time, Shannon enjoys long bike rides, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
Kristen is originally from Philadelphia (Go Eagles!) and has been a dental hygienist for over 10 years. She lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband Dan, their 2 year old son Lucas and two fur babies Cooper and Chloe. When she is not busy fighting periodontal disease, you can find her enjoying all the activities the Lowcountry has to offer.
Amy Maddox has been a dental hygienist over 20 years. She graduated from Greenville Technical College and later earned a Bachelor of Health Sciences from MUSC. She still has a passion for continuing education in many aspects of Dentistry.
Amy has been married 21 years to her high school sweetheart, and has two children, Luke and Lily. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and her dog, Lacie. Other hobbies include yard work, snow skiing, jazzercise, and traveling.
Caroline is an EDDA and has been working in the Charleston area for a little over 5 years. She enjoys helping patients feel at ease and comfortable throughout their dental visits. She is quick with a smile and her happy personality is contagious. She was born in Charleston, but grew up in Asheville, NC. Caroline relocated to Charleston during her senior year of high school. It was during this year that she met her husband Nick. Caroline and Nick have 2 dogs, Max and Lola. They enjoy spending quality time with their families and taking their dogs on long walks.

I got a crown after a root canal procedure. Dr. Pierce explained every step to me and I felt in very good hands. Everyone was really friendly and treated me with lots of care! Thank you for making this experience as pleasant as it can be. I'll highly recommend this Dentistry to family and friends!

When I met the Pierce's I was deathly afraid of them and all dentist. However, they are the best. The service and staff are wonderful. My husband and daughter are patients as well and our teeth are healthy and straight. Guess what? We are not broke by keeping healthy dental hygiene with them. Love these guys and the experience

It has been so refreshing to find Dr. Pierce and Pierce family dentistry. I love how transparent and communicative they are. From start to finish they make you feel warmly welcomed, interested in you, and help you feel educated about your health/dental decisions. They only do the dental work that is truly necessary (they are not going to shake you out for extra money) but are very detail oriented- Dr. Pierce has an acute eye. Everything is a breeze with them- highly recommend!
