Dr. Pickett received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1993, where he graduated summa cum laude. He then attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors in 1997. Dr. Pickett received his Master of Science degree and his Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 2000.
While in dental school, Dr. Pickett served as president of the student body, president of the Psi Omega fraternity, and president of the Dental Research Group. Dr. Pickett received the Kramer Award of Excellence which is given to one student each year for outstanding achievement. He was also the recipient of the Schneyer Award for the highest scholastic achievement in the basic sciences. He was inducted into OKU (the dental scholastic honor society), received the Award of Excellence in Research, and was the recipient of the American Association of Orthodontists Award. Dr. Pickett received the Alabama Dental Association Student Leadership Award, and he was also awarded the coveted Deans Medal for outstanding scholarship and leadership.
Dr. Pickett is a published author in the Journal of Dental Research and The Angle Orthodontist. He maintains professional memberships with the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, the Alabama Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Alabama Dental Association. He served as the president of the Alabama Orthodontic Alumni Foundation from 2009-2010.
Originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia, Rebecca studied at Penn State and James Madison universities. She moved to Mobile in 2005 where she worked as an orthodontic lab technician. She then worked as an oral surgery assistant until Dr. Pickett invited her to act as the Treatment Coordinator in 2008. This gave Rebecca the opportunity to interact with patients and introduce them to our office family. With her love for architecture and interior design, Rebecca helped design our Wall Street office. She and Dr. Pickett share three children, Alexa, Clark and Noah.

It is important to us that a healthy smile is not out of reach because of financial restrictions. While we have recommendations for down payments and/or monthly payments, we encourage a comfortable environment to openly discuss additional options without the need for finance or interested charges.

I scheduled a consultation for my son. They were able to get us in the next morning and it worked out for us to even have the braces put on the same day! They are very professional but also made us feel like we were family. It was nice to have different payment plan options. The is office is very relaxed and has wonderful accommodations while you wait.

Dr Pickett and his staff are phenomenal!! Everyone is so sweet and friendly. After my warm welcome, I got taken to the back for my exam. Everything was explained to me step by step. We discussed the game plan for my teeth and I was very happy with it. They are just excited as my teeth getting straight as I am. They are willing to work with you financially! If you're looking for an orthodontist, please choose Dr. Pickett. So excited!!!

I haven't even gotten braces yet and my experience is 5. Hopefully it stays the same but so far they are wonderful. Everyone smiles and speaks to you in a nicely manner and it seems like everything is flexible.

I can't say enough good things about Dr Pickett and his team. They are amazing and today they were extra amazing. Our son had a dental appointment today for a routine cleaning. At the cleaning we were told to call Dr Pickett for a consultation. I called a few minutes after leaving the dental office and they worked us in same day. Thank you.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Ms Rebecca took her time and thoroughly explained the process to my daughter. They made my daughter feel very comfortable. Overall I was very impressed with the cleanliness, friendliness and helpfulness of everyone at the office.

I had my Invisalign consultation today and Rebecca and Dr.Pickett did a GREAT job at explaining the process of Invisalign and the price point! I love that they are very organized and are willing to work with you on payments.They made me feel very comfortable and I have high confidence that we will get great results! After having braces about 12 years ago for 4 years I definitely didn't want to go back to the wires, so I'm thankful for the guidance of Pickett Orthodontics. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for orthodontic treatment.

Facility was clean and organized. The staff was sweet and very informative. The orthodontist was a really nice guy and willing to answer all questions. Dr Pickett called the evening my daughter got her braces to check on her and explained a worry she had. The prices are very similar to other practices in the area and everything from braces to retainers is included.
