Dr. Jacqueline S. Allen is a native of Ames, Iowa. After graduating in 1982 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Dental Hygiene, she moved to Big Spring, Texas to teach Dental Hygiene. She practiced Dental Hygiene for ten years before returning to the University of Missouri-Kansas City to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Immediately following graduation from dental school, Dr. Allen entered the Endodontic Program at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and upon completion received her Endodontic Certificate and Masters Degree.
In 2005, Dr. Allen was recognized as a finalist in the dental category by the Phoenix Business Journal as a Health Care Hero for the work she does with the John C. Lincoln Childrens Clinic. Dr. Allen believes strongly in giving back to the community and she makes her services available to various charitable organizations.
Dr. Allen is currently a member of the Arizona Dental Association, American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontics. Dr. Allen believes education is a satisfying and never ending process.
Dr. Allen is a Fellow in the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. In October 2011 Dr. Jacqueline Allen will be inducted as a Fellow in both the American College of Dentists and The Academy of Dentistry International. These honorary organizations are a testament to Dr. Allens service and dedication to her profession as recognized by her professional colleagues.
Dr. Allen has been especially active with the Arizona Dental Association, serving in the following manner: founding member of the Mission of Mercy committee, 2010 Political Action Committee, the 2011 & 2012 Western Regional Planning Committee, the Board of Directors of the Central Arizona Dental Society, the AzDA Board of Trustees and the Arizona Dental Association House of Delegates.
Scottsdale had become the home of her parents and three of her four brothers during her trek through school. She moved to the Phoenix area to be close to her family after she finished her formal education. Dr. Allen and her husband have four children.
Dr. Susan L. Wood joined Phoenix Endodontic Group as an Associate Endodontist in October, 2014 and became a partner exactly one year later. Dr. Wood spent seven years as a partner at an endodontic practice in Colorado Springs before relocating to Arizona.
In 2003, Dr. Wood received her D.D.S. degree and graduated with honors from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. In 2005, she completed her endodontic residency at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine receiving a certificate in advanced graduate studies.
Dr. Wood spent six years on the faculty of the University of Colorado School of Dentistry as a clinical assistant professor. She also served on the Board of Trustees for the Colorado Springs Dental Society from 2007 2011 as well as serving as a delegate for the Colorado Dental Association. Charity work is very important to Dr. Wood in 2004, she was involved in the very first Colorado Dental Mission of Mercy (COMOM) as the endodontic lead and remained involved with COMOM for 5 years.
Dr. Susan L. Wood is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics as well as an active member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE). Since 2010, Dr. Wood has served on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Journal of Endodontics (JOE). Her committee work with the AAE includes: Practice Affairs Committee she is the current AAE REPRESENTATIVE TO THE ADPAC BOARD OF TRUSTEES; former chair of the Special Committee on Continuing Education Strategies.
Dr. Wood was recently elected to serve on the AAE Foundation Board of Trustees. Additionally, Dr. Wood is the contributing editor for the Endodontics Edition of the Journal of the American Dental Associations Specialty Scan.
Kevin was born in New York, and has also lived in Virginia, Georgia and Massachusetts. He joined Phoenix Endodontic Group as Practice Administrator in 2005. Prior to that he had a twenty year career in corporate finance as a specialist in commercial equipment leasing. Kevin has held upper management positions in companies such as AT&T Capital Leasing and Wells Fargo Financial Leasing. Kevin has helped lead Phoenix Endodontic Group to develop and acquire new technologies which help us to better serve our patients and referring dental offices. He shares Dr. Allens vision of a high-tech, paperless environment while at the same time delivering a high-touch, caring treatment environment for our patients. Kevin will continue to be responsible for the strategic direction of the practice as well as play an integral role with front office staff as our patients first contact with our office. He strives to leverage his experiences in big business and apply those same concepts to our dental practice. Kevin also serves as Executive Director of the Central Arizona Dental Society Foundation. CADSF is responsible for hosting the Arizona Dental Mission of Mercy which provides free dental care to thousands of Arizonas working poor in a two-day event held at the State Fairgrounds. He was also recently elected as an ex-oficio member of the Central Arizona Dental Societys Board of Directors.
Suzie is one of the skilled dental assistants at Phoenix Endodontic Group, specializing in the field of endodontics and proficiency in oral surgery and periodontics, and is also fluent in Spanish. Suzie has always been active in serving the community through a variety of volunteer efforts, and this drive to help other translates in her patient care ethic. Suzie strives to stay abreast of the latest techniques and information in her field allowing her to provide the best care possible to the patients at Phoenix Endodontic Group.
Jenny is one of our skilled chairside dental assistants at Phoenix Endodontic Group. Her favorite aspect of working as a dental professional is relieving patients of their pain as well as helping them feel more confident about their smiles. Always striving for a higher standard of dental care, Jenny is a perfect fit at Phoenix Endodontic Group.
Ani has been assisting Dr. Allen since completion of her Dental training program in 2019. Her goal is always ensuring patient comfort and understanding of their treatment. You can sometimes hear Anis beautiful voice throughout the office as she sings along with the radio. She contributes this talent to her church choir and also loves spending time with her friends, family and the cutest Boxer ever Banner.
Kim has been a part of our team for many years and has functioned in several roles within our organization. Her extensive dental knowledge paired with outstanding communication skills creates success for her as our Professional Relationship Director. Kim is passionate about healthcare and shows pride in facilitating the referral process with our partner offices. When she is not encouraging tooth preservation, Kim enjoys spending time in our beautiful Arizona outdoors with her (empty nest filler), French Bulldog-Chloe.
