Dr. Hilsabeck completed her undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. She then continued her post graduate education at the University of Maryland, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. To further her clinical expertise, Dr. Hilsabeck completed a one-year residency program in Advanced General Dentistry at Louisiana State University. Upon commencement she relocated to Phoenix to start her professional career, joining Phoenix Dental Design in 2000.
An Arizona native, Dr. Block grew up in Mesa. He attended Arizona State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Medicinal Biochemistry. He then moved to San Francisco, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Block is an active member of the OKU Dental Honor Society, the American Dental Association, and the Central Arizona Dental Society.
When he is not practicing, Dr. Block spends much of his time with his wife, Courtney and daughter, Layla. He enjoys playing golf, tennis, and hiking the Arizona trails. He is an avid sports fan and can often be seen cheering on the ASU Sun Devils, Arizona Cardinals, and Phoenix Suns.

I have been going to this office for over 20 years! Everyone in the office is awesome and friendly. Even when I lived in TX I ALWAYS had to make sure I got my teeth cleaned when I was in town to visit. Dr. Block is awesome, has the best bed side manner and personality. And i cannot forget Dr. Hilsabeck! She is awesome too - I have only seen her a few times when Dr. Block wqs not in the office. However, this is the only dental officer that I trust with my dental care and needs! Both dentists are honest and do not try to upsell you or recommend procedures that you do not need. If you are looking for a new dentist, definitely give Phoenix Dental Design a chance. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Simply the best! Really, that's all I can say, from the front desk to check-out the experience in this office is like none other. I, like most people, cannot stand going to the dentist & every other office I have been to prior didn't help this. Dr Block & Lindsay have both made me feel welcome & confident that all my needs will be taken care of. Now, I just hope they like me, because they have a lot of work to do & I do not want to go anywhere else.....ever!! Thank you all for the amazing service!

From Teresa & the friendly team that greets you, follows up to make sure you remember your appointments & handles payment all the way through to hygienists & assistants, Phoenix Dental Design is the best dental care in my 40 years living here. Dr. Hilsabeck is my primary dentist and together with her right hand, Leiane, I feel genuinely cared for & we swap stories & laughs even amidst painful crowns. They know how to make you have a good experience- I'm always smiling! Dr. Block is hilarious and an awesome dentist, too, & if I can't see Dr. Karen, I love that they make sure to cover all patients & prioritize getting you in. I refer everyone I know here!
