Dr. Garrett E. Phipps grew up in Amarillo, Texas where he graduated from Tascosa High School in 1998. He then attended Lubbock Christian University where he earned a degree in biology graduating Summa Cum Laude. He received his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, which is now referred to as the University of Texas School of Dentistry. Before practicing in Guymon, Dr. Phipps worked for Dr. David Woodburn in Amarillo for over two years where he gained valuable experience. Then, in January 2009, Dr. Phipps took over the Gibson Dental Clinic in Guymon. He took over the practice that had been serving this community well and provided quality care for many years. He built on to the foundation that the Gibsons started, implementing more technology and updates to enhance patients dental experience. In 2012, Dr. Phipps married his beautiful wife, Casey, and they have three children Kylee, Parker, and Allie.
Dr. Phipps has a passion for delivering high-quality dentistry in a professional environment, while always making his patients feel comfortable and at-ease. His goal is for every patient to achieve optimal oral health and to feel like they are a valued member of the Phipps Dental Practice family.
Dr. Emily Donnell was born in Amarillo and raised on a farm just outside of town. Growing up Dr. Donnell was good at science, math and enjoyed working with her hands. She graduated from West Texas A&M in 2015 and attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, earning her DDS in 2019. After practicing general dentistry in Houston she decided to move back closer to her family. She chose dentistry because it allows her to combine love of science and working with her hands to make a difference in peoples lives.

I've had bad teeth all my life, they've never given me anything but pain. From the time I was small, I've had every type of dental care. Dr. Phipps is the first dentist in my 47 years to be honest with me. No more painful extractions, gum surgery, orthodontics or root canals destined to fail. He is honest, easygoing and has steady hands for those of us in pain. and fear. His staff is golden and they are all so good at what they do. Don't hesitate to call and see what dental care is actually supposed to be.

I went in today to see what my options were to get some teeth fixed. From the moment I walked in I felt welcome. Dr Donnell and her assistant answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable the entire time she was extracting two teeth. They also made sure I knew what all needs to be done and went over pricing. Made sure I know how to take care post extractions several times. I'm very happy with my experience here and I will be referring whoever will listen to me to this Dentist ! Thank you again!!!! So very much!

Went for a check up and cleaning appointment . No cleaning were performed. No advices on how to keep my teeth safe for that month and other questions were answered. Felt like services were forced on me. After less than an hour was rescheduled for a 200$ treatment all the way to the end of September. Quite a long wait- if that service is that important . That means that this place is interested in revenue rather than customer priorities. Once again, I needed cleaning. People who work can't come during 8-5 pm hours. Have a night shift and listen to your customers. Hope this review is helpful.

I was needing my girls teeth cleaned and they got is right in. Made us feel very welcome, very professional and polite staff. My youngest daughters first time going she is 6yrs old and they did excellent with her. Definitely coming back..

Amazon place to get your teeth checked, cleaned, and so much more!! I love Dr. Phipps and his whole staff!! They are all so kind and loving!! Also, you never wait more then like 10 minutes to get called back which I love!! Go to Dr. Phipps for all your dentist needs! Trust me you wont be disappointed!!

Last 2 dentist told me I needed my wisdom teeth removed but neither one would perform the task and recommended me to go to Amarillo and have them removed via surgery. I went to Dr. Phipps and he said he could get them out no problem. Start to finish only took 45 minutes and I was awake the whole time. What a great experience and professional staff! Definitely recommend this business!

Today I went to have a crown done, that was loose fixed. It's been on for over 40 years. I was a bit ticked because I didn't get it fixed. They didn't schedule enough time when I made the appt. This is the 3rd time we (my husband or myself) have driven a 90 mile round trip and this has happened. We are well pleased with the Dentist but not happy to drive over just to be told we can't do it today, you'll need to make another appt. I'll be sure to tell them IN DETAIL like I thought I did this time, that I expect to get whatever is wrong fixed at my appt and not just looked at and told to come back and make another appt. My time is valuable and we have 3 sp needs girls we are raising so we can't be running back and forth anytime we want. Frustrating, I'll be going back to my former Dentist, even though it's a much further drive.
