Dr. Tareq Khalifeh is a warm and caring professional dedicated to quality care and patient education. His modern dental practice is proud to offer effective diagnostics, advanced technologies, and comfortable dental services.
Dr. Khalifeh earned is DDS degree at New York State University and assumed ownership of Philmont Family Dentistry in 2004. He has practiced at the GHI Clinic and Brunswick Dental in Albany, NY, and was a resident in Albany Medical Centers dental department. He currently serves on the Columbia Opportunities Advisory Counsel.
Philmont Family Dentistry's newly refurbished facility is housed in a former village home on Route 217. Comfortable and personal, the practice is a friendly place that many patients have come to for years and years.
Using the latest digital radiology equipment, our dentists can obtain higher quality images with fewer x-rays and transfer images electronically in referral situations. We have also installed a digital imaging system that allows patients to see into their own mouths, which facilitates discussions and helps you understand your unique health issues and treatment options.
First established in 1975 by Dr. Robert Potrzeba, Philmont Family Dentistry has a solid reputation for giving back to the local community. Dr. Khalifeh seeks to continue the caring tradition of his predecessor by ensuring that young children receive appropriate dental care from an early age and that their parents know the right steps to follow to prevent oral health problems. This year, we began working with Columbia Opportunities to to bring education and dental screenings to youngsters in the regions Head Start program, and we're proud to support Hawthorne Valley School events each spring.

I had a good initial experience, but it all went downhill from there. Don't be deceived by the pretty views. His work was sloppy and this was confirmed by another dentist, though it was obvious without their input. He has permanently ruined my teeth.

Wish I could give a better review, because I have had decent experiences here, dentist is good and the hygienist as well. Unfortunately I have been treated terribly by the office including being turned away for inaccurate reasons and had now a serious situation with my teeth because of their mistakes. Looking for a new place.

I've been going here since I was a teenager, he's by far the best dentist I've been too! Every time I need an emergency appointment, he gets me in as soon as possible!

Called to cancel my appointment and try to reschedule and the lady was extremely rude and gave me an attitude!! Definitely won't be coming here i called several times to ask about getting in and they never called me back even after explaining I had a server toothache. They obviously don't care about the patients.

Good dentist..TOTAL INCOMPETENT FRONT STAFF. IF I COULD GIVE THEM -3 STARS I WOULD. MADE ME MISS A DAY OF WORK AND THEY HAD NO IDEA OF MY APPOINTMENT TODAY WHICH I HAVE THE APPOINTMENT CARD. CANCELLED MY AUGUST APPOINTMENT AND I HAD NO IDEA OF THAT AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME ANYTHING. IM CALLING MY INSURANCE CO. AND THE ADA. GET SOME STAFF THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

I called there in pain after a family member recommended them. I was asked for insurance info which I gave them and was told I would receive a call back. 7 days later I called back and was told they needed my insurance info again because they lost it. A bunch of scatter brains that I do not care to have working on me.

Don't waste your time. The office staff is useless and can't be bothered to assist, verify insurance or call back in an emergency situation.

Always in a rush, numbed lower jaw when filling was being done on upper tooth. Quoted one price and billed another, no straight answer when questioned.. never again.

Visited Philmont Family Dentistry today for the first time.I will never go anywhere else again.....it was such a GREAT experience.. . considering it was a visit to the dentist.cant say enough about how wonderful everyone treats their patients!!!!

We've been going to this practice since moving here in 1984. Always friendly, caring service. Dr. Khal and his staff are top notch. Even my wife who had traumatic dental experiences as a child is relaxed with them. It's a great practice!!!

I have been seeing Dr Khalifeh for years. I love everyone there they are all friendly and efficient. The office dors get busy but they are worth the wait. I have had several root canals and crowns with zero issues. This office is also extremely sensitive and accommodating to individuals experiencing developmental disabilities.

Love this doctor. The staff are so wonderful. From the hygienist to the doctor right to the ladies in the front! Always so helpful and accommodating. Had my first root canal in my life there and didn't feel a thing! The doctor is so nice and down to earth! Would highly recommend this place for all your dentistry needs!!

Magical !!!! This was my first visit to Dr Khalifeh's office. I was in pain after visiting another Dental office twice and was told I needed a specialist for a root canal and crown. Dr Khalifeh heard I was in pain and got me in the next day. From the minute I walked in and spoke to front office staff Ms. McDonald everything was beyond exceptional! The offices are amazing and very clean! Their equipment is top notch. Dr Khaliifeh and his assistant Danielle made sure my procedure was pain free. I've never felt more comfortable in a Dentist's office. Thank You !!!! Thank You!! I will highly recommend to all my friends.

This office is a joke, I used to be a loyal patient for a few years prior to COVID-19. After COVID-19 they have changed. Half the time they do not answer their phone and when they do they disconnect you. The office staff has become very short with people and sometimes rude. I figured things were not good after seeing the office was looking for help on Indeed. I unfortunately had to find another dentist.
