Dr. Phillips is a true Oregonian at heart. He has practiced dentistry for over 30 years. He was raised in Beaverton, graduated from Beaverton High School, and then attended Oregon State University. Following college, he continued his professional education at the OHSU School of Dentistry, where he graduated with both clinical and academic honors. Dan then served in the Air Force and completed a General Practice Residency at Travis Air Force in California. Following his service, he returned to Portland and earned his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate from OHSU.
Dr. Phillips is an active member in countless dental organizations and study clubs. He has served as President of the Oregon State Society of Orthodontics, Clackamas County Dental Society, and the OHSU Orthodontic Alumni Association. Additionally, Dan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is Board Certified. He is the proud father of two girls and has been married to his wife, Tanya for 35 years. Dan enjoys cooking, traveling, and the outdoors.

I have had many roles in our practice and being the treatment coordinator in the Aloha office is my absolute favorite so far! I enjoy meeting all of our patients for the first time and helping them feel comfortable and welcome in our practice.I love hearing how much a beautiful smile means to both our child and adult patients. I have seen the gift of a new smile change a persons outlook on life.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my husband and three pups. We love local travel, great restaurants, & fun. I also volunteer for the American Cancer Society, the Childrens Cancer Association as a chemo pal, and for a local dog rescue.

My 10-year-old's first orthodontist experience was a really positive one! Thank you for creating such a welcoming space. The staff was all super friendly, Dr Dan gave a thorough explanation of the situation and plan, and my kiddo really liked the friendly feel of the space.

A huge Thank you to Dr. Phillips and the staff at Phillips Orthodontics. My son had his braces put on today and is super excited ! There has never been a time he needed convincing to make an appointment, everyone is so kind, he always looks forward to seeing everyone. I know he's getting the best care when he's at their office. I have had a great experience overall getting my dental work done for me and my son with Phillips orthodontist ! All the staff is really friendly they make us feel confortable and like family and they have done great work! I would recommend them to everyone young and old they are all really great at what they do!

I was referred by my dentist office and I have not been let down once! Their staff is incredibly friendly and answer ever question I have before I even ask. Before my first appointment I was a little worried about how I would be able to pay for my braces and what kind of braces I would need, but during my first appointment I sat down with Nikki who was so welcoming and walked me through everything! They are very flexible, and inclusive; from ages they work with, payment plans, and braces plans. I have not had one bad experience with them and look forward to every appointment I have with them.

My daughter and I love Dr. Dan and his staff! So friendly and personable. They explained everything to my daughter as they went along. Normally, my daughter is a little apprehensive about dental appointments, but she felt totally at ease the entire visit. I would definitely recommend everyone I know to see Dr. Dan. Such a great office!
