Shelley was born and raised in Independence, MO, and is a 1982 graduate of Truman High School. She attended the UMKC School of Dentistry, where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene and the Rinehart Foundation Award for Best Clinician of Dental Hygiene in her graduating class.
Shelley has worked in this office for more than 31 years, and loves the relationships she has built with her patients. The connections she has made caring for her patients keep her motivated to be the best hygienist she can be.
She also loves to spend time with her family and friends, and getting away for weekend outings with her husband. Shes very proud that her daughter will soon be graduating from the UMKC School of Dentistry, after which shell be serving as an Air Force Dentist. Shes equally proud of her son, a freshman at the University of Missouri, where hes studying to become an Electrical Engineer.

All the stuff at Phillip Montoya DDS in Lee's Summit MO are very professional, friendly and caring. He always takes time to called and follow up on his patients and find out how you're doing. I recommend this office

I called let the dentist know that a crown had come off. He asked me to come in the following day for an evaluation. When I arrived, he determined the tooth was worth saving and would replace the crown that very day. He completed the work rather painlessly for me. Then that evening, he called to see if I was having any problems, which I was not. I certainly appreciated his follow up. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for excellent dental care.

They are top knotch with customer service and professionalism. I wanted a more personal experience with a local small dentistry office. The large buildings get you lost in the shuffle.

Dr.Montoya and his staff go above and beyond for his patients. He gives 150% and puts his patients best interest above all else. Dr. Montoya listens and works with you for the very BEST solution, and backs every solution with AMAZING results. He truly cares about his patients and their well being. My boys actually look forward to going to the dentist! We love Dr. Montoya!

I saw Dr. Montoya when I was a patient of his at UMKC dental school. He did an excellent job putting on two gold crowns back then. I knew he would be a fantastic dentist.

I love getting my teeth cleaned by Shelly so much, I go every four months to see her. She gets right to work and is very gentle and well skilled. She makes my teeth noticeably cleaner every single time, which keeps my breath fresh longer. Thank you Shelly!

Staff and Dr. Montoya take interest in your personal life and ask about a trip I may have been on or how family members are. It makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. They must take notes and put in your file what your hobbies and interest are.

Amazing staff, they make you feel very comfortable and at ease. My son had to have a root canal and Dr. Montoya called me later that evening to check and see how he was doing. I'm so happy we found them!!
