Dr. Phillip H. Saddler graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. in 1988. Prior to dental school, he attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Saddler has been practicing dentistry for more than 25 years. He has been in his current Berkeley location for 28 years, where his late father, J.D. Saddler DDS, started his practice more than 60 years ago.

My job involves providing oral health care to my patients, and ensuring they are educated in keeping a healthy smile. Our team goal is to provide the best service and family environment to all of our patients. We work together to meet our patients dental needs, and make them feel right at home when they visit our office. Patient satisfaction is our number-one goal.
I enjoy working with Dr. Saddler because he is compassionate with his patients, just like I am. Dr. Saddler does not only encourage our patients to maintain their oral health, but also motivates them to pursue their goals. What pleases me the most about my career is being able to get to know my patients one on one, and taking the time to educate them in understanding the importance of their oral healthcare. Seeing my patients leave with a smile on their face is what makes my job fulfilling.
My dental field experience began in 2007 after I graduated from the Eden Area Regional Occupational Program Center in Hayward as a dental assistant. I graduated as a dental hygienist in 2011 from Carrington College in San Jose. I continue to take educational classes to provide my patients with current oral health education.
I am a part of Saddler Family Dentistrys front office, and have 16 years of experience in dentistry. My specific role is billing and claims. I am also a registered dental assistant, and always happy to make patients feel welcome in our homelike office family setting.

Jaida says it was the best dental experience in her 20years of life. Dr Sandler was extremely patient and gentle. The staff is also very friendly.

Most people FEAR the dentist. I'm 1 of those people. I heard a lot about Dr. Saddler how wonderful he is .He KNOWS his profession. Well I wanted 2 see for myself. I have 2 say YESSS. My 1st visit I felt at home. His office is like I was in my own living room. I was greeted formerly by name as if They had known me 4 years. Now here comes the FEAR part the room well Dr Saddler was warm gentle talked me through the whole exam. I didn't even realize I had got numbed & was ready 2 go home. I was also impressed by his knowledge . THANK YOU DR SADDLER & STAFF 4 the warm hospitality & care that you ALL gave me. I NOW HAVE A DENTIST HOME & NO MORE FEAR. 10 STARS are deserved

It is a genuine joy to visit Dr. Saddler - something I never imagined myself saying about visiting the dentist. His team and him are personable, efficient, welcoming, and helpful. I have felt taken care of and comfortable each time I have visited.

Dr. Saddler's practice is probably the most professional dental operation that I have ever experienced. Had a dental emergency over the weekend, Dr. Saddler was out of town for a conference and returned my call immediately. Checked in on me several times via phone and promptly scheduled an appointment for me immediately upon his return. I found his staff most proficient and professional. Online registration made for very punctual and efficient service. BTW, this was my first visit. Outstanding! The Saddler practice is one that I highly recommend for dental needs. Porter B.

Im so happy to find a black dentist in Oakland/Berkeley area! Dr. Saddler is so funny and down to earth making the time at the dentist so easy and fast. He also is very knowledgeable and has been in this profession for decades! I've been coming here forever and really appreciate the service I get each time. His staff are also very easy to work with. I was able to get an emergency appointment within 2 days which I really appreciate as I was experiencing some crazy pain! I had a problem on a back tooth and he was able to get it healed within days. I was so scared I was gonna have to get it pulled. He's truly a life saver. Thanks for everything yall!

One of the most professional, friendly and knowledgeable dental staff in the East Bay, but I know everyone says this in the reviews and it's pretty true. However if I had to pick one thing on my new patient visit that just told me this is my dentist office for lyfe, it was the Doctors, both Dr. Loden(sp?) and Dr. Saddler. Dr. Saddler coming in to introduce himself to new patients. Dr. Loden is super gentle and kind even during the most stressful parts, and Dr. Saddler will let you know how happy he is and how much he loves his staff and being a Dentist. Mercedes is super efficient and smart taking photos of your teeth and working with crazy software and machines. Dare I say it? I had a good time at the dentist! Thx everyone
