Dr. Philip E. Koch was raised in Avondale Estates and Dalton, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree at Auburn University. Dr. Koch received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He also received his three-year postdoctoral Residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.
Dr. Koch has practiced exclusively in Gainesville, Georgia since 1977. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery focuses on the treatment of diseases, injuries and defects of the upper and lower jaws and associated structures. The main focus of our practice is on the removal of impacted third molars (wisdom teeth), difficult extractions, placement of dental implants, bone and soft tissue grafting, apicoectomies (surgical root canal treatment), biopsies, and reconstructive surgery of the jaw.
Our knowledgeable staff is highly trained and experienced. Jamie and Sarah, our front office staff, are here to help you with all of your pre-surgery needs. They are prepared to help you with everything from filing your insurance to answering questions regarding your procedure.
Dr. Koch, Jackie, Pam, Amanda, and Clarissa compose our experienced surgical team. Together, they are ready to guide you comfortably through your procedure. Our team is diligent in assuring you receive outstanding surgical and post-operative care.
