Dr. Lisk has been practicing general dentistry in North Raleigh for well over 20 years so far, and he always looks forward to interacting with his patients. Helping them understand the importance of oral health and discover health problems that they may not have been aware of without his intervention is a very rewarding experience for him. While growing up, Dr. Lisk initially wanted to go into veterinary medicine. During the summer between his freshman and sophomore year at NC State, he had his wisdom teeth removed. After telling his oral surgeon that he was planning to go to veterinary school, the doctor asked if hed ever considered dentistry and invited him to come by the practice to shadow him for a few days. He ended up taking him up on that offer and the rest is history! His mind was set on a dental career afterwards, and all these years later, hes never regretted that decision.
Dr. Lisk graduated from North Carolina State University in 1993 with his Bachelor of Science in Zoology. From there, he pursued his dental doctorate at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, graduating in 1997. He is passionate about pursuing continuing education and expanding his clinical skillset for the sake of his patients. This includes time spent learning at the world-renowned Dawson Academy and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study. The latters philosophy emphasizes the importance of occlusion (the way teeth come together) and the TMJ (temporomandibular joint) for a stable, harmonious smile.
Dr. Lisk has also undergone 90+ hours of continuing education in obstructive sleep apnea and oral appliance therapy. He is a current member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Lisk and his wife Heather have three children named Sophia, Maddie, and Sawyer. Hes a BIG fan of the NC State Wolfpack and the Los Angeles Dodgers; youre likely to find him going to various football/basketball games with his family whenever possible. hes also a self-appointed coffee snob and is always willing to drive out of the way to try a local coffee shop, much to his kids annoyance. Other hobbies include going to concerts, enjoying nature, hiking, seeing new parts of this beautiful country, and listening to music. Hes a big fan of the Beastie Boys in particular you may even hear him shouting out the lyrics if youre lucky!

Kim has her Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa, and her overall career in dentistry impressively spans 35+ years! She feels lucky to partner with such wonderful teammates and patients here at Dr. Lisks practice.
Kim has lived in the Raleigh area since 1991. She and her husband Mike have two grown children named Thomas and Lauren. When she isnt busy at the office, her favorite hobbies include spending time at the beach, visiting the kids and their families, reading, running with friends, and walking her crazy dogs. Shes also recently gotten into baking and decorating cakes! Theres still a long way to go with this new hobby, but she sure is having fun trying.
Jen is originally from Rocky Mount, NC. She completed her studies at Wayne Community College, and she has been in the field of dentistry for nearly 25 years now! In addition to her impressive years of experience, she also has completed continuing education in dental sleep medicine, joining our practice in 2020. Since then, she has genuinely enjoyed helping each patient understand the importance of a healthy smile and a good nights sleep.
Outside the office, you can likely find Jen with her husband, Jeremy, and her two kids, Kaitlyn and Aden. She loves spending quality time with them, and she has recently begun exploring her green thumb. One thing you may not know about her is that she was born in Lakenheath AFB in England!
Patsy may be relatively new to our team, but she brings an impressive 15 years of experience with her! In that time, she has become certified in everything from CPR and nitrous oxide to Coronal Polishing. When asked about her favorite part of the job, she shared that it is the conversations she has with patients.
Patsy is originally from Rocky Mount! When she isnt at the office, you can most likely find her soaking up some quality time with her spouse, three kids, and cat. She also loves scrapbooking, trying new foods, shopping, and exploring new places.
Originally from Youngsville, Nicole studied at Wake Tech Community College. Today, what she enjoys most about being our patient treatment coordinator is getting to help create a comfortable environment for patients while also building meaningful relationships with them!
Nicole has a small family, but they are very close. Her mother works in healthcare and was actually the one who inspired her to go into the field in the first place. She also has a twin named Noah and a rescue dog named Coco who loves cuddling. When she isnt busy at the practice, she spends a lot of time cooking, with the shows Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay as inspiration. She also enjoys working out, taking her dog on walks, spending time with loved ones, and volunteering at animal shelters.
