Lakshmi Balaraman, DDS specializes in general and cosmetic dentistry and been practicing dentistry for over 18 years. She provides the highest quality general and cosmetic dentistry in a relaxed and gentle manner.
Dr. Balaraman attended Tamil Nadu Dental College, a prestigious dental and medical college in South India and received her Bachelors in Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2000. Upon immigrating to the US she then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2006 from University of California, San Francisco (UCSF School of Dentistry).
As a practicing professional, she has formed personal relationships with patients who appreciate her compassionate care and warm personality. She works closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans. In addition to general dentistry services, she offers cosmetic dentistry services such as dental implants, orthodontics, and gum disease treatment.
As a General dentist who is also a certified Invisalign provider, Dr. Binani is driven by a sense of service and a passion to achieve excellence in all aspects of Dentistry. She providesa personalized comprehensive treatment plan to all patients, explaining each procedure and answering all questions in a no-rush, stress free environment.
Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Dr. Binani graduated fromNair Dental Hospital and college, Mumbai in 2011. Seeking to expand her knowledge in dentistry, she completed her DMD and MS in Oral Biology from University of Louisville,KY in 2016. She has since practiced in Boston, MA and in San Jose, CA. She has finally found her forever home in Texas. She is an active part of American Dental Association and American General Dentistry. When not in office, she likes to spend time with her husband and toddler in parks, on hikes or splashing water in her backyard-texas style!

The staff is helpful with sending out reminders. Always friendly and proficient. The Dentists are fabulous. Positive, informative, and thoughtful. I love this place.

Beware of this dental office! I had extensive dental work done. I was a self pay patient, always paid cash. Paid over $4000.00. I wish I went to Yelp and read the reviews. I would of never trusted Dr. Balaraman and her associate dentists . I had cavities that needed fillings, one tooth was drilled too deep and I felt all the intense paid of her drilling, I told her I was not numb and the dentist stopped and gave me another injection and continued to drill. Never fully numbed the area, I FELT IT ALL! The dentist put too much resin in the filled areas of that tooth. It was the only tooth making contact within my mouth. This cause excruciating pain that prevented me from eating and sleeping. Needless to say the nerve in my tooth was bruised, swelling and in pain. I am not able to chew on that side of my mouth or have anything colder than room temperature . I scheduled with Dr. Balaraman and she saw that the error of too much resin on tooth, she called out the dentist on the error and corrected her in front of me. Dr. Balaraman tried to correct tooth, she took too much resin and left a dip in tooth. Dr. Balaraman recommended for me to wait two weeks, to see if pain would go away. Needless to say, it didn't improve. I went back yesterday and after the examination, I was told I need a crown $1233.00 for an error their dentist did. Jennifer receptionist/office manager explanation was that "x-ray don't indicate how deep the cavity is, the only way for dentist to know is to drill." Oh, they are willing to give me a discount of $211 for they filling they screwed up. I paid $300.00 for their in house discount plan. I requested a refund of remainder months of the in house dental plan and a refund of $211.00. Jennifer the receptionist/office manger said she needed to talk to billing office and she would call back. Still waiting! I believe Dr. Balaraman and her staff will cause injury to your teeth to keep you coming back and have you continue pay for treatment, so they can make profit from the misfortune they caused you. If you enjoy shelling out money during these trying times and leaving with more pain than you arrived in, then I highly suggest you come visit Pflugerville Smiles Dentistry! In summary Pflugerville Smiles Dentistry should be renamed to Pflugerville Frowns Dentistry, the only Smiles that are had there are the staff taking your money and checks and depositing them into their bank account.

Great staff and excellent Dentist. I had not had dental care for over 15-20 years. I needed extractions and so much more. I was treated with respect and everything was explained to my satisfaction. I am recommending this place to my family members and anyone needing a great dentist and wonderful staff.

Pflugerville Smiles Dentistry almost makes dental treatment a joy! From the friendly, helpful Jennifer at the front desk (and handling live phone calls) as she exudes kindness, to the caring dental assistant, and onward to dental needs assessment, plan, and treatment by Mitale Binani, DMD, one receives the highest level of attention and care. All questions are answered expertly, from front desk to staff during appointment, to prompt and respectful checkout. My experience at Pflugerville Smiles Dentistry could not have been more satisfying!

I had a poor experience at this office. Dr. Binani was dismissive about my anxiety going to the dentist and recommended unnecessary work to be done on FOUR teeth. She's also not an educator and offered poor explanation on what the problem and solution were (never suggested better brushing or flossing on specific areas). I took my kids to be seen here as well and her bedside manner was very rude to the children. Again, zero education for the children. I'm glad I was able to see the red flags and went to another dentist to get a second opinion. Edit: Since posting my review, dr. Binani called me personally and was really polite on the phone. She said it wasn't her intention to be insensitive. We also agreed that the second opinion I got could be just a different approach to treatment. It is unfortunate I didn't have a good experience, but dr. Binani's call to me speaks to her character and professionalism. She just wasn't a good fit for my family.

They do a good job but they are very sketchy with the payments and horrible managing insurance stuff. I'm still waiting for them to reimburse me the money from an appointment 2 months ago because they haven't sent a simple form to my insurance!! What are they waiting for? The worst thing is that, on top of that, they lie to you. It's such a coincidence that whenever I call them, the person in charge of the insurance stuff is never there, or "we have sent the form already" but they didn't.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to review this business with a 1 star after having multiple issues with them, some of which are still ongoing. 1. I made 2 of 4 payments towards some crown work and found out I was pregnant. When I asked for a refund because my OBGYN office prefers to defer dental work postpartum, I was told that they wouldn't provide the refund because "anyone should be able to get work done, regardless if they are pregnant". Wow. 2. 1/2 years later, I have received the refund but was told I had to make an appt to get the check. Weird. When I got there, they sat me down (I was confused and spoke to multiple ppl about how I am just here for a refund) and finally handed me a check. Great, I thought, finally resolved! Well, they have since filed a claim for that visit, when all I did was go there to get my refund. 3. After speaking to multiple office personnel, Dr. B followed up with me and asked me to name every person I had spoke with, which is impossible since this stems over a year and a half long. Weird. She then proceeded to hang up on me when I pressed her on the fact they filed the "refund appt claim" and they shouldn't have. 4. I am here a week later with no information, another brush off from Dr. B and a claim that is causing me to go over my 2020 allotment, to which they show no concern. It's unprofessional and wouldn't want anyone to go through what I have gone through.

I am not pleased with their customer service. 1st I had an appointment scheduled. Then they Decided to to reschedule my appointment due to wanting to be closed a few days after the holidays. So THEY rescheduled my appointment for January 1st. I asked them multiple times were they open they said, yes. Why be closed on a non holiday day, but open on New Year's Day. In my head I'm thinking "ass backwards." Then they call on Tuesday before the 1st to reschedule again! Like y'all are inconveniencing me. Y'all need to take inconsideration of others schedule and plan y'all vacation times a little better. So not only was my appointments rescheduled twice. They couldn't even see all my children in the same day like previous scheduled.
