Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. By making images easier to see, its helpful in gaining a better understanding of oral health conditions and suggested treatment.

From the staff at the front desk, to Dr. Patel, this place is amazing! Lyon is fantastic with the dental cleaning and thorough about how to brush and care for your teeth. I didn't get his name, but the person doing my X-rays today was also very friendly. The staff is diverse and make you feel welcome. I highly recommend them.

Had a filling pop out (thought it was my tooth!) this morning and my regular dentist was closed. I called PfMD and they were able to schedule me for same day within 3 hours. Great! I'm taken back on time for my appointment and I was talking to the doc right away (shout out to Dr. La, she's an angel). Got me back to X-ray within a reasonable time frame, then was seen by the billing specialist about 10 mins later. Needed to replace the filling, which they made time for me today! The price was reasonable. Sarah, the tech, was super sweet and understood what I was going through with my anxiety and led me through breathing exercises so I didn't have panic during the novocaine. Procedure was overwith within 40 mins, and I was on my way within ~2 hours. Thanks so much! I'll be back!

I've visited Pflugerville Modern Dentistry a few times before, but this is the first time I've ever dealt with Sierra. She was very pleasant to deal with, and very knowledgeable. She answered my questions thoroughly, and she was kind enough to write down all her recommendations for me so I wouldn't forget. If you need to get your teeth cleaned, I highly recommend Sierra at Pflugerville Modern Dentistry.

I saw Sierra Tupelo for a cleaning and it was great! She told me everything she was going to do before she did it. She even told me that if I have sensitivity they have numbing cream they can use. Great experience!

Dentist is amazing. Always have issues with front desk . Had a appointment that I scheduled months ago and wasnt given all nessicary paperwork then they wanted to cancel because of this the day before the appointment. Manage to keep get paperwork and keep the appointment for next day just for them call and to cancel the next morning a hour before .I have used this dentist for years considering switching due to front desk . And bad communication.

Go somewhere else if you can or be prepared to spend a lot of time at this office. Bring a couple puzzles because you'll have time to finish them- no problem. This place accepted my insurance and is near me, so I took my mom here for her annual exam & cleaning. It took 3 hours. Paperwork was completed prior to the appointment and a cleaning wasn't even done. We only saw the dentist for about 15 minutes of the 3 hours spent at the office. No one cared to update us on anything and we just sat there waiting... waiting... waiting.... Mom had a chiro appointment but had to reschedule it since we didn't expect a plain old dental exam & cleaning to take any longer than 1.5 hours, and certainly not 3. On top of time wasted: She was prescribed an antibiotic for an infection. I gave them our pharmacy info- twice, while there. I go to the pharmacy the next day to pick it up and am told that no prescription has been sent over. I call Pflugerville Modern Dentistry to see what's up and if the can send it now (giving them the pharmacy info again). I sat at the pharmacy for 20 minutes until the pharmacist told me nothing has been sent over yet. I had to leave for an appointment and afterwards, gave the office a call again. This time they tell me the prescription was sent, but to some online-shipping pharmacy. Oh gosh. How much more bad on bad can this place get? They finally send the prescription to the correct place, but now insurance won't help us pay for it because it's been filled at the other (wrong) pharmacy... Anyway, only go here if you want your inner Karen to come out and if you love hassle and have tons of free time.

My mother's experience here was a negative and unprofessional one. Front desk pressured her into making an online account before allowing her to be seen. As a result of that, they were unable to fit a filling into her appointment (which was the primary reason for her having this appointment in the first place). Her cleaning was performed by novices who had trouble with basics like flossing and suction. We're changing dentist offices as a result.

I agree with the other reviews. I've been doubled charged without know and someone from the front desk fortunately noticed and refund me. I had an appointment and waited almost an hour and I had to leave because I have work. The office needs some retraining on logistics. 2 starts because some of the techs are really good.

TLDR: They tried to steal me away from another dentistry clinic! And I can reasonably assume that this isn't the first time so be CAREFUL coming here. Summary: I made an appointment with Pflugerville FAMILY Dentistry but accidentally came to Pflugerville MODERN Dentistry at first. I went inside the MODERN Dentistry and notified the receptionist that "I have an appointment at 10:00am". As in I had made this appointment weeks prior to coming in that day. They replied with "Oh yes we have you right here", and proceeded to take down my credentials (personal and insurance info). This was instantly suspicious to me at the time, since I had done this onboarding process online prior to coming in (unknowingly for the FAMILY clinic and not the MODERN clinic). But I waved it off, finished the document signing, and sat down. The receptionist then let me know that my "hygienist will be out shortly for [my] appointment". And before they could come get me from the lobby, I received a phone call from FAMILY Dentistry. They told me over the phone that "just as a reminder, you have your cleaning for today". I responded "but I'm sitting here in your clinic, your other receptionist just took my information" with a confused look on my face. FAMILY Dentistry then said "oh yes, you're at the wrong location, this actually happens pretty often". I immediately got up and left in my car to the correct clinic. Conclusion: The receptionist at MODERN Dentistry didn't bat an eye when she told me that lie to my face about having an appointment with them. And considering that this confusion happens often, it is not crazy to assume that this may occur to many other patients out there. Just imagine, if they can lie easily about this then what else they could be lying about while examining your teeth! This place is morally suspicious and have shady business-practices. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

I have tried to like this place and make it work but I am done. Let me first say, I liked Dr. Patel. So I always get to my appointments early and always end up waiting anywhere between 15-30 mins after my scheduled time to be seen. I had a male hygienist that was so rough on my teeth it was painful. A new person was doing my x-rays who had never even practiced so he was fumbling and kept having to redo the x-rays. The x-rays took longer than the actual teeth cleaning. I am done trying to make this place work. It was always just 1 thing wrong after another. Hopefully I can find a better dentist than this sub par one.

This is a wonderful office. They were very caring and made sure of my comfort. They talked with me about every step of the process before during and after my root canal! They will be my go-to for dental care beyond my regulate dentistry.

So All I'm say is double triple check your extraction dates to ensure you don't waste pto requests days or time assuming the surgeon won't be there or will as told

Complete waste of time. Made an appointment as a new patient for a teeth cleaning weeks in advance. I didn't have my insurance card on me but offered to pay out of pocket. They said something about how their entire billing team was out for the week and couldn't give me a price and therefore can't do the service even if I paid out of pocket. Sent me home. Total waste of time and I will be seeking another provider. I pay you money, you clean my teeth. Its not hard.

My experience at this dentist office wasn't good. I have a crown that continues to fall off and I'm only eating pureed food. Very expensive root canal and my crown keeps coming off. Never had a bad dental experience until I visited this office. I continued my dental treatment and I will still admit that my attitude is what lead me to a poor review. I was in a lot of tooth pain and I was short with the staff. I apologized and continued treatment and it was a great experience. My bridge work looks amazing and I look forward to my next visit. I'd like to thank the staff for such great care
