Dr. Phillip A. Petitto is a native of Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 2007 and received his dental degree from LSU School of Dentistry in 2012. He went on to complete an AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry in conjunction with the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Birmingham. He is certified in adult conscious sedation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and CPR.
Dr. Petitto is completely dedicated to improving his patients oral health, function, and esthetics in a safe, friendly environment. Dr. Petitto is a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and the Northlake Dental Association. Dr. Petitto is proud to serve as the Southeastern Louisiana University team Dentist, Lion Up! In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, dining out and cheering on the LSU Tigers, the SLU Lions, and the New Orleans Saints.
Terri is a registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from Loyola University in 1982, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She is certified in local anesthesia, and nitrous oxide administration. She has been working in this office for over thirty-three years. Terri has been a lifelong resident of Albany, Louisiana. She enjoys spending time with her granddaughters. Terri loves her patients and considers them as her extended family.
Ashley is a registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from LSU in 2007 where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and certified in local anesthesia. Ashley grew up in Mandeville where she now lives with her husband, two children and dog. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors on the water. Ashley enjoys getting to know her patients while providing them with the utmost care.
Emma was born and raised in LaPlace and currently resides in Hammond, America. She graduated from the Accelerated Dental Assisting Academy receiving certifications in Dental Assisting, Radiology and CPR. She is currently working towards her EDDA certification. Emma is happy to be a part of the Petitto Family Dental team and looks forward to welcoming new patients and serving the Hammond community one smile at a time.
Shawn was born in New Orleans and raised in Chalmette Louisiana. She currently resides in Hammond after Hurricane Katrina. Shawn has been a dental assistant for 17 years and has continued her education through Penn Foster Career School graduating with a certification in Dental Assisting in March 2010. Shawn has also received EDDA, X-Ray and CPR certifications from LSU. Shawn thrives in patient care while making sure patients are comfortable and treated with respect. Shawn enjoys spending time with her husband and grandson camping in her free time.

No idea what he is doing when it comes to dentures. No effort made to inform patient of the downside. Total lack of compassion or any concern for the devastating effects that his work produced. No offer at all to think outside the box to correct the problem, told me just to live with it. The point is he never took the time to discuss everything that came with getting dentures. True enough I asked him if he could give me new teeth and he said yes and he gave me new teeth. If I needed a kidney a doctor would tell me all the downsides of it too wouldn't he? Well he is a doctor too and did not do his due diligence. If you need a filling I'm sure he's fine. Anything else I would shop around. PS the staff is great

I broke my FRONT tooth over the weekend and left a (hysterical) message. I received a call at 7:35am Monday morning telling me to be there at 8:40am. They don't even open until 8:30. As I walked in the door I was treated like family, even Dr. Petitto was in the front and assured me he would take care of me! Everyone greeted me by name, and advised the back staff I was there. They took me right back and I was out by 9:30am with shinny, new tooth. Could not be more happy!

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and kindness of the entire staff! Dr. Petitto was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain the process and answer all my questions. I would definitely recommend his office for a great dental experience.

Terri is amazing at what she does. I have a major fear of dentists and she is so good with the teeth cleaning that i had no anxiety once dr. Petitto came in the room to check me over. They are a very caring group.
