Dr. Peterson is a graduate of the prestigious Boston University School of Dentistry. Each year he continues to attend post-doctoral studies in advanced dentistry. Dr. Peterson is a Boise native who earned his Bachelor of Science at Brigham Young University. His wife, Sara, is a surgical intensive care nurse at a local hospital. He has four beautiful children whohe loves to take on fun adventures. When Dr. Peterson is not at the office, you can find him skiing, playing tennis or running!

I grew up in a small town in western Washington. I met my husband at age sixteen and we have had many adventures over the years. Our biggest adventure was a five month backpacking trip through Europe in 2007, visiting over twenty countries. We moved to Boise when we returned, to escape the rain of western Washington.
I really got interested in dental hygiene as a senior in high school. I ended up becoming a dental assistant to familiarize myself with the dental world. I worked as an assistant for two years before getting my dental hygiene education at Shoreline Community College in north Seattle.
My husband and I now have a very energetic son with a ton of personality and the sweetest, sassiest little daughter. We enjoy being outside, whether were camping, hiking, fishing or just having a picnic in the park. My family is the best part of my life.
I have wanted to be a dental hygienist from the time I was a little girl. I remember going to get my teeth cleaned and thinking all the hygienists were so nice, got to wear cute scrubs, and got to use fun instruments. I didnt realize at such a young age that dental hygiene is a profession full of so much more than cute scrubs and fun instruments! Shortly after completing my first Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Wellness at BYU, I jumped back into school to pursue my dream, and completed my second Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from Utah College of Dental Hygiene.
I grew up in the Boise/Eagle area for most of my life, and met my husband at the age of 15- a high school sweetheart success story! We have a fun and active son, and his personality is bigger than his little body. We also have a sweet and animated daughter who keeps us on our toes. They fill our lives with so much light! As a family we enjoy spending time in McCall on the lake, and just enjoy the outdoors in general whether we ride bikes, go for walks, or play sports in the backyard. I also enjoy reading and music.
I have been working at Peterson Family Dentistry since the beginning of 2012, and feel blessed to have this dental family! When you work with such an amazing team and get to help so many wonderful people, its easy to love your job. The relationships and experiences made here in our office with our patients and with our team have made dental hygiene such a rewarding part of my life.
When I was little I used to make my little sisters lay down and I would pretend I was cleaning their teeth with toothpicks! The first thing I notice about people are their teeth; thats always why I wanted to be a dental assistant. I went to the Milan Institute to study Dental Assisting and I have been a dental assistant since 2012. I started out in pediatrics where I worked with many amazing kids! I moved to North Dakota for two years where I worked in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.I familiarized myself with the art of dental surgery procedures! I have been with Dr. Peterson since 2016. I enjoy working at Peterson Family Dentistrybecause we do so many varities of great dental work. I strive to make sure our patients feel comfortable in every aspect. I am also bi-lingual!
When I was in braces as teenager, thats when I knew I wanted to be in dentistry. In 2015 I joined the USAF and did my dental training in San Antonio, Texas. Ever since then, I have been with Dr. Peterson and our amazing team. I love working here because I love helping people feel good about their smiles and achieving their dental goals.
I have been in dentistry for 12 years.I started out working the front office for 2 years, and I have been a dental assistant for 10 years now. I love working in dentistry because I love getting to know people and building relationships. It makes me feel so good knowing I can help people. I used to be terrified of the dentistas a little girl. My passion in this field is to help people overcome their fear.
I grew up in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho. I have been in dentistry since 2000. I went to the Milan Institute for dental assisting. I am the office manager and treatment coordinator for our practice! I am very knowledgable with all insurances andfinancial aspects of dentistry. Being a dental assistant has helped with thefamiliarity of dental procedures. I am here to answer any of your questions.
I was born in Floridia and grew up in Montana. Due to my dad being the Air Force, I have lived in so many other places! I just recently moved here to Idaho from Las Vegas. My favorite place I have lived is here in Boise now. I love being in dentistry because I have met so many wonderful people. My face is the first face you will see when you walk into our office! I am going to school for a business degree at Boise State University.

If you are looking for a new or first-time dentist, Dr. Peterson is for you. Dr Peterson has been caring for my family for years. When I first went to see him, I had gingivitis really bad, and my old amalgam fillings were falling apart. Over the last year, Dr Peterson had to pull my wisdom teeth, deep clean my gum line, to get rid of the gingivitis, then he removed the amalgam fillings and put in composite ones. All of the mouth pain I was experiencing went away. It might just be coincidental, but the arthritis in my shoulders and diverticulitis do not bother me as much anymore. I am so grateful for Dr. Peterson and his wonderful caring staff. They took awesome care of all my needs. Dr Peterson himself called me after the big procedures. Even now I just do the cleanings and checkups. The staff has always worked with my family with billing and appointments. I give Dr Peterson and staff 10 stars and recommend his office to everyone.

Just moved to Meridian and had to address some teeth grinding issues. I'm a student so cost is always a concern for me but Dr. Peterson was very understanding and assured me he would look at all the cost solutions. That's what i'm talking about! Helpful doctors are so rare nowadays! Staff was super helpful and personable! Was sent home with free custom whitening trays due to their new client special! 100% would recommend

Dr Peterson and his entire staff are great! I had neglected my dental care for years before I found Peterson Family Dentistry. I was embarrassed about the condition of my teeth and Dr Peterson was so positive and put me at ease. They take care to be gentle so getting my teeth repaired has been such a positive experience. Every staff member is very positive and kind. I'm not afraid to smile anymore. They have honestly given me my confidence back. I cannot recommend Peterson Family Dentistry enough!

I have been seeing Dr Peterson for over two years. He fixed a chipped tooth, and we did the invisalign treatment. Dr Peterson is the best Dentist I have ever been to, he really cares about my dental health. Dr Peterson and his entire staff are always professional, polite and friendly. All my questions are answered. My wife just started seeing Dr Peterson, I really like the fact that he personally called to check up on her after each procedure. My family, my wife, mother, daughter, son and daughter-in-law all go to Dr Peterson for our Dental needs. I would refer anyone that needs a Great Dentist to give Dr Peterson a call.

My wife and I have been going to Dr Peterson for 10 years. No once have we had a negative experience. Dr. Peterson is by far the best dentist I've ever had in my 66 years. He is the nicest and most caring Dentist I have ever had. Every time he has done any work on my teeth, and there's been plenty, he always called that evening at the end of the day to make sure I'm doing ok. That has never happened with any other dentist in the past. In all the work I've had done such as multiple cavities , crowns, and 2 extractions and 2 implants he has never caused me any pain. His expertise with novicane is amazing. He is not just a great Dentist he just feels like a good friend. Always wants to know what going on in my life and share his with me. As ashamed as I was walking in for an emergency visit after not seeing a dentist for 25 years due to painful past experiences I sat down watched Farris Bullers day off, closed my eyes for 5 minutes and two teeth were extracted without me even noticing it! After fallowing instructions that were given to me I felt no pain in recovery either. I will never go anywhere else, thank you Dr Peterson for not shaming a giant baby who has to have his wife with him for support lol you are so gracious and a complete god send...

Peterson Family Dental is amazing. I have been seeing Dr. Peterson for over 10 years. He is kind and gentle and always makes sure I leave with a smile on my face. Dr. Peterson is the best dentist I have ever come across! I have had many negative experiences from childhood through adulthood. Dr. Peterson is the only dentist in all of those long years who correctly diagnosed the issues I was having with my teeth. We are always searching for the right dentist. One that cares and is good at his job. One that takes care of your dental problems but doesn't promote things you don't need just to make money. One that you can trust. I have found out recently that this dentist is NOT that person. This year I have been there for 2 teeth cleanings. I noticed after the second one that I was being charged $85 for my share of the procedure. When I called my insurance company they told me that this service should be no cost to me. They called this dentist and was told that the cleanings were billed as a follow-up to a deep cleaning that I had the year before.. BOTH TIMES! I only requested a teeth cleaning..and that is all I received..nothing more intense. I called the dentist and explained my situation to his receptionist. I was hoping I could talk to Dr Peterson and resolve my situation. She said she would have the doctor call me back. He never did. I guess he WAS just after the money. I'm telling my story to you all so that if you choose this dentist you will know ahead of time what you're getting yourself into. I will not be back and neither will my friends and family. So sad!

We love Peterson Family Dentistry! Dr. Peterson is very skilled and knowledgeable but he is also very personable. We've been seeing Dr. Peterson for years and have never had a bad experience. I think Dr. Peterson and his staff are awesome. If you visit his office, you will never want to go anywhere else.
