Dr. Blackburn graduated from The University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1995. After receiving a US Naval Scholarship while attending dental school, Dr Blackburn served three years in the United States Navy. While stationed in San Diego, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program, as well as being awarded THE NAVY ACHIEVEMENT MEDAL and THE NAVAL COMMENDATION MEDAL for his services as Dental Department Head on board USS OGDEN (LPD-5)
Dr. Blackburn and his family have resided in Muskegon for over 20 years. He is actively involved in supporting local area organizations, including Reeths Puffer Varsity Lacrosse, and the Northside Youth Lacrosse program.
Outside of Dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his family. Dr. Blackburn enjoys Hiking, Fishing, Hunting, and is passionate about Photography. Dr. Blackburn has had numerous photographs on exhibit locally at the Muskegon Art Museum, as well as in Fremont, Whitehall, and Grand Rapids.

One of the best dentists I've ever had. The whole staff is amazing. Nice, friendly, caring, just a great team. If you want a Top home town dentist with an amazing team, this is your dentist.

I first saw Dr. Blackburn for emergency treatment, as a new patient. He saw me in a small gap in his schedule the day after I called, and began treatment immediately. He and his staff are professional and matter-of-fact, while being kind and compassionate all the while. I highly recommend anyone seeking a new dentist to call over and try to get on his patient roster, you won't dread going to the dentist ever again.
