Dr. Sawka opened Hopmeadow dental in 1985, promising to positively affect people lives by solving their dental issues and relieving them from dental pain. Because of his expertise, his patients enjoy food more comfortably and navigate social interactions with confidence. With over 30 years of experience in cosmetic dentistry, and more than a decade in dental implantology, Dr. Sawka continues to meet his guarantee of aesthetic and reconstructive success for his patients.

After completing his undergraduate degree at Boston University, Dr. Sawka earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from UConn. He has been a member of the Connecticut State Dental Association since 1986, and the American Dental Association since 1987. He has been placing veneers since the first porcelain veneers were used in 1985, while his advances in cosmetic dentistry have changed smiles for decades. His desire to know the latest techniques and newest technology fuels his dedication to continuing education programs and skill building. But Dr. Sawkas greatest reward is to see the new smile shining on a patient face after making them healthy and looking young again.

Dr. Dikshant Kathuria has been crafting beautiful smiles since 2015. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University, finishing in the top tier of his class. He is improving his skills by attending innovative educational seminars and progressive personal development courses. He has performed wisdom teeth extractions for several years, and is certified for Invisalign. In addition, Dr. Kathuria is a strong advocate of patient care; he takes his time to thoroughly explain each and every treatment recommendation, and answer any questions his patients have.

In his free time, he loves spending time with his family and friends, and is almost always caught up with all the latest shows on Netflix. He loves playing board games, going bowling and shooting some pool.

DENTAL ASSISTANTAllison has been working as an assistant in the dental field since 2013. She completed her Certified Dental Assistant Degree at Platt College, which enabled her to broaden the scope of her patient care. Energetic and enthusiastic about dentistry, Allison is always willing to go the extra mile for her patients.

DENTAL ASSISTANTMalissa has been working as a dental assistant since 2009. She is exceptionally qualified and specializes in assisting with unique cases, in addition to being crossed-trained on the administrative side of our practice. Malissa is extremely proud to be a part of a dynamic team of professionals and enjoys working in an environment that promotes continuous learning and innovation. Her versatility and attention to detail make her a prized member of our team.

HYGIENISTIrina is a 1999 alumnus of the Dental Hygiene Program at University of Bridgeport. Fluent in English as well as Russian, she has been an instrumental part of this practice for over 17 years, having earned our patients trust by consistently providing them the highest level of oral care possible. Irina attends many continuing education classes and strives for new knowledge, much to the benefit of her patients.
