I went in for a routine exam and to have my teeth cleaned. Dr. Waidzunas told me that I needed a root canal on two teeth (based on the X-rays) and some other treatments. Dr. Waidzunas performed the root canal on one of my teeth, and afterwards I was in constant pain in that tooth. I informed him that the tooth that he did the root canal on was extremely sensitive to cold and biting pressure and constantly hurts (I didn't have these symptoms before the root canal). Dr. Waidzunas told me that I wasn't having pain in that tooth because he had removed the nerves during the root canal treatment. He essentially refused to believe my complaints about the tooth, in spite of what I was experiencing. Each time I complained about the pain in the tooth, he dismissed it and restated that I shouldn't be feeling any pain in the tooth because he removed the nerves. He was very dismissive of my complaints and His responses made me think that he was gaslighting me...or insinuating that I was imagining it. In spite of my complaints of pain in the tooth, Dr Waidzunas proceeded with the crown build-up for the placement of the crown, and when he drilled into my tooth to remove the temporary filling, the pain was excruciating and I nearly jumped out the chair with the drill in my mouth. Dr. Waidzunas then gave me several shots to numb the tooth (that he had insisted didn't have any nerves in it), and when the tooth became numb he proceeded with the crown build-up. After that, I went to an Endodontist for a second opinion, and the Endodontist informed me that only one of the roots in the the tooth had the root canal and that I still had a canal that hadn't been treated and that there was a problem with the canal that had been treated. After conferring with the Endodontist, Dr Waidzunas told me that I needed to have the tooth extracted. After months of pain and after paying thousands in total for the root canal and the crown, I now had to have the tooth extracted and pay him more money to have that done. I changed dentist after this bad experience. I realize that not all root canals are successful, but Dr. Waidzunas should have been truthful upfront and told me that he didn't treat one of the canals. Furthermore, he should've referred me to an Endodontist immediately when he discovered that he didn't have the tools and expertise to perform the full root canal. I feel like the money was more important to him than my well-being.

Story gets worse as I go on... I had Dr. Pete perform a root canal on one of my molars. I also paid him to put a crown on that tooth. The first crown broke within a year, after I bit into a potato chip. He had replaced the broken crown and shortly after that one fell apart into pieces as well. I let my tooth go without a crown for about a year and a half, I stared experiencing major pain recently in my tooth Dr. Pete had worked on. I went to a different dentist today, we had decided it was best to remove the tooth Dr. Pete did a root canal on. After they extracted the tooth, the dentist said whoever did your root canal had left pieces of broken equipment inside your tooth while they did the root canal. The work Dr. Pete did on my tooth costed me about $3000. Hope you spent it well. Oh, and stop asking people right before you put them under IV Sedation if they don't mind you doing this in your underwear. It's not funny.

Let's start by saying I hate dentists. I've had terrible experiences and some of them most questionable dental work done imaginable. I think Dr Pete would agree. Yesterday I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and don't remember a thing about it. I can honestly say any doubts I've had about dentists In the past and the fear of having work done is gone so long as he is the one doing my dental work. As for the other review I read I would have to agree with it to an extent he is brutually honest and explains it as it is. If you listen to what he's saying he says it playfully with a good sense of humor. Following the procedure in received a call late that night from Dr Pete himself asking how I was feeling and another follow up the next morning. Never has a dentist called to see how I was or seemed to care. I would recommend Dr Pete to anyone. Coming from a guy who hates the dentist and last visit was over 2 years ago for similar reasons of extreme pain I intend to have the rest of my work completed and maintained. Finally a great dentist
