Dr. Peter grew up in Northern Kentucky and attended Highlands High School where he started on his path toward becoming a dentist. His education continued at the University of Louisville where he attained a Bachelor's of Science in Biology, then continued at the University of Louisville School of Dentistryfor his dental degree.
Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Peter joined the US Army as a Dental Corps officer, and moved to Fort Drum, NY to support the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division. It was the Army Dental Corps, with its focus on continuing education and evidence based dentistry that shaped the way he practices dentistry now-- with an emphasis on doing the best for his patients. He has adopted his first commander 's motto: 'Do the right thing.'
After fulfilling his active duty service obligation, Dr. Peter returned home to Northern Kentucky and joined a practice in Newport, KY. He is now pleased to have a permanent home for his dental practice in Independence, KY.
Dr. Peter has participated in numerous community service projects stretching from Louisville for Smile Kentucky, to Pikeville, KY all the way to Belize where he helped set up a dental clinic each year for a few days in the village of Red Bank. Currently, Dr. Peter volunteers at the Rose Garden Center for Hope and Healing in Covington, KY.
Jessica is from Fort Thomas where she attended Highlands High School. She graduated from Lincoln College of Technology with a Dental Assisting Certificate. She started her career in the dental field in January 2012 and joined our office in December 2014. She loves to help patients conquer their fear of the dentist. She also enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors. Her favorite quote is from Napoleon Hill, If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.
Kourtney is from Bloomington, IN. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with an AAS in Dental Hygiene. She also obtained certification for nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. She started in the dental field in May 2014 and joined our office in August 2015. She enjoys helping patients know more about dentistry and put their fears at ease. She also enjoys creating personal connections with our patients and making them feel comfortable in our office. When she is not in the office, Kourtney enjoys running, reading, and spending time with family. Her favorite quote is from Yoda: Do or do not, there is no try.
Kelly-Jo was born in Worchester, MA and lived in Ohio, Hawaii, and New Mexico while her father was in the Air Force. She is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University. Kelly-Jo started in the dental field in 2010. Kelly-Jo joined our team in March of 2018 and she has been helping patients get care they always thought was financially impossible. For her there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the smiles, tears and hugs from patients weve helped. When she is not in the office, Kelly-Jo loves traveling with her husband and puppies in their camper. Her favorite quote is from Winston Churchill: Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.

Enjoyable experience from start to finish with friendly, knowledgeable, courteous staff. Dr Peter and assistant Christy did the procedure flawlessly! 6 months later, Caitlyn the hygienist performed her duties beyond anyone's imagination and schooled me on dentin, mouth guards and water picks!

The staff and Dr. Peter are professional, friendly and courteous. No one likes to go to the dentist, but they make you feel comfortable and do a great job of cleaning and taking care of your teeth.

My family and I have been regularly seeing Dr. Peter for probably 10+ years at this point and I can't rave about him and his staff enough. Always so informative and professional while being reassuring, friendly, and warm. Dr. Peter will be my family's dentist as long as he's practicing! Love you guys!
