Peter Lo Destro graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1985 after receiving a Bachelor of Science in biology from Benedictine University. He continues his education yearly and has been practicing for more than 30 years. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.
He and his wife, Cheri, have been married for 41 years. They have five children, two boys and three girls, as well as ten grandchildren. Dr. Lo Destro enjoys construction projects, exercising, and big family dinners. His goal as a dentist is to help his patients manage their oral health in a caring, upbeat environment.
Stephanie Tidaback Front DeskStephanie joined our team in 2017. She earned her associate degree in business administration, and she is thankful to now be part of a great team and a practice where she loves working with a knowledgeable and up-to-date doctor. Stephanie is the friendly voice that our patients talk to when they first walk into our office, and she tries to help patients in any way she can. Outside of work, Stephanie loves spending time with her boyfriend of 4 years, and she is very close to her parents and 3 brothers. She enjoys traveling with her boyfriend and building/redoing furniture.
Tabby Miller Dental AssistantTabby has been with Dr. Peter Lo Destro since 1996. She feels that working at our practice for so long has helped bring a high comfort level and a trusting environment for patients, as they know that we have their best interests at heart. Tabby enjoys being part of a team that is very down-to-earth, and she couldnt imagine working any place else. Tabby loves working with the doctor and the girls to her, they are not just co-workers; they are all good friends and like family. For Tabby, the best part of coming to work is getting to see her great patients, many of which have been coming since they were kids and are now bringing their own families.Tabby has been married to her husband, Brian, for 24 years. They have a daughter, Bella, who is 12-years-old, and a stepson, Matt, who is 27. She also has a 200-lb. dog named Otis and a cat. Her favorite thing is to spend time with her family and friends. Together, they like to go camping, glamping, and traveling.
Sarah Anwora Dental Hygienist Sarah has been with Dr. Peter Lo Destro since 1997, but she has 25 years of experience in the dental field. She attended Prairie State College loves being a dental hygienist. She especially enjoys building relationships with all of our patients and being a part of a fun, caring team that makes coming to the dentist a pleasurable experience. Sarah is married and has two kids. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, relaxing on the beach, and hiking with her dogs.
Rachel Kerby Dental HygienistRachel has a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from Southern Illinois University, and she has been with our practice since 2014. To her, the best thing about being a part of our practice is the amazing team and patients that she gets to work with. Rachel is married with 3 kids.
Michelle Hereford Dental HygienistMichelle has been with Dr. Peter Lo Destro since 1998. She has a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, and she is a registered dental hygienist. She has 2 boys, Mason and Jaxson. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing sports, traveling, and being with friends and family.
Kerry Burjek Dental HygienistKerry graduated from Harper College in dental hygiene. She joined our practice in 2004, but she has 27 years of experience in the dental field. Kerry loves working with a great team that is fun to be with and a doctor who is passionate about dentistry. As a dental hygienist, she always wants to make sure that our patients are comfortable and happy about coming to see us. Kerry is married with 3 boys, a dog, and a cat. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and trying new and exciting foods wherever she goes.
Laura Zielinski Dental AssistantLaura has been with us since 2015, and she feels that the relationships she has built with Dr. Peter Lo Destro, her co-workers, and her patients are the best part of being with the practice. As a dental assistant, Laura contributes by being dedicated to and caring for our patients in a kind and professional way. Laura is married with three children. She enjoys baking and cooking in her spare time.

Great staff... very polite and helpful. Dr. Lo Destro is great, very thorough. He didn't just jump into me needing a root canal but is working to find the right solution which could be just adjusting my bite which is much easier and way less expensive. I'm glad a friend recommended him and his staff to me.

Wonderful new patient experience for both me and my young daughters. The staff made us feel comfortable and were so kind. Dr. Pete was honest and explained, in detail and with statistics, my options while recommending a treatment plan for me and my oldest that is cost-effiecient and will hopefully avoid any unnecessary procedures/expenses, which is so appreciated in this day and age. Glad I made the switch to his office!

My Dentist is out of town so Dr L took me in as an emergency. I was in a lot of pain. I am also very nervous eat the dentist. Tammy and Julie And Dr L were the kindest people and helped me. He worked on my tooth to make me comfortable u til I can get to the specialist to fix my tooth. The environment in the office was very relaxed and open. Impeccable overall experience here! Sara is the sweetest Hygienist, and Doc is a true down-to-earth guy who really has your best interest.
