Our office has been a staple in Bay Ridge for three generations. It began by Dr. Henry P. Levy, when the Second World War ended and he returned home and was subsequently joined by Dr. David G. Olsen and Dr. Peter A. Costalos, both Bay Ridge natives. Though still on historic Doctor's Row since the very beginning, we are a progressive practice in a warm and renovated office, and we strive to deliver the best care available today to every patient.
Dr. Peter A. Costalos is Board Certified, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and has been practicing orthodontics in Bay Ridge since 2003. Dr. Costalos was born and raised in Bay Ridge and was an Honors Academy student at Fort Hamilton High School. He received the Bachelor of Science degree in biology, summa cum laude, from Pace University. He graduated magna cum laude from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts and received the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He has completed his post-graduate studies in Orthodontics at Columbia University. Dr. Costalos is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. He is president emeritus of the Orthodontic Alumni Society of Columbia University.
I have been a part of Dr. Costalos' team since 2013. I enjoy meeting new patients, helping them and seeing the improvements in their smiles over the course of their treatments. I am a native of Brooklyn, and in my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family.
I was raised in Sunset Park, Brooklyn and am the mother of 6 wonderful children. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My goal in life is to be the best, and I believe we all live to serve, and by helping others, we fulfill our own destiny. When you make a positive impact on someone's life, you also make a positive impact on your life. It has been an honor to help serve the community alongside Dr. Costalos and the rest of our team. I am grateful!
I am originally from Poland where I earned my Master's Degree In Marketing and Management from the University of Krakow in 2000. After coming to America with my family, I was introduced todentistry, when I was employed by a general dentist in Brooklyn and worked as a dental assistant for 8 years. It is my pleasure to be part of Dr. Costalos' team. I love being a part in perfecting patients' smiles, and I appreciate what the process entails. I am also a professional Polish singer and have my own band. On my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my two daughters grow.
Growing up in Bay Ridge in a family of six, I have come to a realization that giving a helping hand to others is very important. Having received the Bachelor's Degree in psychology from the College of Staten Island, my main priority in life is to be of help to others, as others have helped me for over twenty years. Working in Dr. Costalos' practice since 2008 has allowed me to accomplish this and to have great relationships with the team and our patients.
We work hard to treat our patients the same way we would like to be treated: with respect, professionalism, and sensitivity. We understand the expectations of the patients and families we serve, and we do everything we can to make sure that each patient has an exceptional experience. We look forward to working with you and being part of this wonderful, life-changing experience.
The parlor level of the landmark limestone townhouse, which houses the practice, has been carefully renovated to provide a warm and comfortable office for our patients and staff yet to protect the integrity of the building's history. Also, we have made every effort to be mindful of our environment and leave as little a carbon footprint as possible. We have eliminated the use of harmful chemicals, significantly reduced the use of paper, and reduced the use of non-recyclable products.

Doctor Costalos is an amazing orthodontist. Visits can take less than 5 minutes, though there may be a wait. He helps you understand what is going to happen, and modify on request. Great visits, always happy with the change of my smile!

If our family could give Dr Costalos 15 stars we would. We've had 3 Children, who are now adults, have braces with Dr Costalos. His friendly and sometimes humorous demeanor makes for a relaxing environment. His fees are extraordinarily reasonable, while he continues to go above and beyond the care protocol required of him. He has treated our children throughout their care with respect and given them a sense of responsibility to care for their own dental hygiene beyond the boundaries of being at home. They have all had wonderfully perfect results and if anyone of them had questions he would not hesitate to answer even now. He truly has exceptional care for each patient and makes you feel as if you were his only one. Thank you Dr Costalos.

My son was a pretty complicated case but Dr. Costalos did a great job fixing all the problems. Dr. Costalos is very professional and creates a nice atmosphere for children. We would definitely recommend him and the whole team.

My daughter and I are patients of Dr. Peter Costalos. I had perfect teeth until I was prescribed a sleep apnea device that destroyed my bite and began to shift my jaw. This led to some speech issues. As an educator, this became a problem. I saw Dr. Costalos about it and he said we could correct it with braces. He would get me as close to a perfect bite as possible. If you see my smile today, it is so close to perfection people, can't believe it. He was persistent to get me to close as perfect as possible. It took 2 1/2 years but my pretty smile is back to normal. Along with this journey, our love of Chios, education and the Girl Scouts this created a beautiful friendship. He is kind, patient and is genuinely a good person. His staff is professional and they are the best. I love walking in and seeing their smiling faces. Thank you for being who you are. I highly recommend Dr. Peter Costalos!
