Dr. Jiries Jerry Mogannam was born and raised in Santa Rosa and graduated from Cardinal Newman high school. He completed his undergraduate degree at UC Davis and earned his dental degree at UCLA. He then went on to complete his medical degree and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Texas at Houston.Dr. Mogannam is very excited to be able to practice in Sonoma County where his family roots are deep. He is married to Cindy, a dietitian, and together they have three children, Gabrielle, Peter, and Danielle.
Dr. Mogannams oral surgery interests include treatment of children and young adults, implant surgery, bone grafting, and facial reconstruction. Outside of oral surgery his hobbies include playing with his children, running and working out.

He completed his undergraduate degree at Sonoma State and his dental degree at the University of California, San Francisco. He then went on to complete his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at University of Pacific/Highland Hospital.Dr. Chavez is very excited to be able to practice in Sonoma County. He is married to Margarita, an RDA, and together they have three children, Leticia, Diego, and Emilio.
Dr. Chavezs oral surgery interests include treating dental phobic patients, implant surgery, bone grafting, trauma, TMJ, and facial reconstruction. Outside of Oral Surgery he enjoys spending time with his family, running, sports and exercising.
Dr. Christopher Chow was born in Palm Springs and raised in the Bay Area. He completed his undergraduate degree at University of California at Davis and his dental degree at University of Pacific at San Francisco. He then went on to complete his medical degree, two years of general surgery, and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Texas at Houston. Prior to pursuing a career in dentistry, he worked as a wildlife firefighter and helped manage his familys doughnut shop.
Dr. Chow is very excited to join Sonoma County Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center. His interests include the treatment of children and adults, dental extractions, implant surgery, bone grafting, and facial reconstruction.
Outside of dentistry, his hobbies include spending time with his family, Olympic weightlifting, hiking, camping, and rock climbing. His wife Annie is a nurse practitioner and together they started a new family with their daughter, Jesse.

absolutely pathetic so because I don't have insurance I have to pay you like $1,200 right then and there because you won't let me do a payment plan so once again thank you for thinking about money instead of my health

Very glad to have had my wisdom teeth removal treatment here! I would give 100 more stars if I could, but five stars was the max. Considering I chose to stay awake during my treatment, Dr. Chow & his assistant Patty did phenomenal making me feel comfortable & encouraged me to raise my hand if I felt any sort of pain. It was a swift & easy treatment! Dr. Chow even checked up on me hours after to see how I'm doing & ensure that I'm on top of my after care medications. Front staff is extremely welcoming & kind. Will be recommending this practice to my friends & family. Dr. Chow is an outstanding surgeon, will always speak highly about my experience.

I've never been one for having my bones removed but this place makes it a fun experience. Getting your wisdom teeth out? Just sit back, relax, and soon enough you'll be anywhere from 0.05 to 0.2 ounces lighter. 10/10

Dr. Mogannam is the best oral surgeon that I've ever seen! I've had a couple of tooth removed prior to seeing him but when I had an abscessed tooth, he took me in right away as a new patient and removed the tooth because I was in severely bad shape! My tooth socket healed super fast and I unfortunately had 2 more teeth removed the other day and my healing process is going great! Now I hope to go to him for dental implants and I know that I will get the best care I so desperately need. The staff is absolutely wonderful. I'm extremely grateful and pleased with the service rendered!!! A++++

Although the outcome was such that due to other medical issues, I am not a candidate for dental implants, even mini ones, that are used to better hold in an upper denture. Nonetheless, Dr. Vicente Chavez, still spent a good length of time explaining why I was not a candidate for implants. I feel he can be trusted to tell one the truth even if he won't be making more money on a patient who is NOT a candidate for future work. The staff I encountered were both kind & supportive as well. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for an honest opinion about oral surgery.

I had two of my wisdom teeth removed 4, almost 5 days ago now and it was honestly the easiest procedure I've ever had done. The dentist was so gentle I had almost no swelling, pain only on the first day, and now I can't even tell I had them removed except for feeling the sutures every once in a while. I had a wonderful experience, if I end up needing my other two wisdom teeth removed eventually I definitely know where I'm going!

This place really is as nice as the other comments say. I had a wisdom tooth pulled, local anesthetic only. I didn't feel a thing and was out of there within a half hour. One day of rest and then back to normal with some food limitations of course. I would absolutely recommend.

Both my kids had their wisdom teeth removed. All staff we interacted with were great! Very polite, informative and caring. I appreciated the follow-up calls from the doctor checking in on my kids recovery.

This is our family's second experience with Petaluma Oral surgery. Both times we were extremely pleased with the experience. Staff is professional and helpful! I especially like how Dr. Chavez makes himself available by phone after hours and on weekends in case there are any complications!
