Dr. Lorenz is a graduate of the University of Michigan Dental School. As a general dentist in private practice, he has continued his education in orthodontics* at the United States Dental Institute, in facial pain and temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ) at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and in implants at the Misch Implant Institute. He is a lifelong member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the West Michigan District Dental Society.
Dr. Lorenz offers early orthodontic* treatment for children from ages 5 to 12. Narrow jaw development, evidenced by crowded teeth, can be associated with tonsillar problems, sinus problems, snoring, and sleep apnea. The earlier crowding and jaw relationship problems can be treated, the greater the potential for correction, and the more stable the result. Through treatment with an elastic, very gentle, growth-enhancing, removable appliance, correction can be very effective and affordable. Dr. Lorenz has used the Ortho-Tain appliance successfully for over 25 years. He also participates in the INVISALIGN program for teens and adults. *Dr. Lorenz is not a licensed specialist in Orthodontics.

I can't say enough good things about this dental team. Dr. Bob is a first rate professional with tons of experience and is great to work with. The staff is extremely friendly and kind and my kids love them and feel comfortable each time we go there - what more could you ask for?

I still can't help but smile looking at my straight teeth! I once had braces, but failed to get my permanent retainer fixed after it broke, and my teeth quickly went back crooked. The Orthotain appliance that Dr. Lorenz offers straightened my teeth as a young adult - it was painless, and the best part is no one even knew I was doing it. No rubber bands, no braces, no metal.
