Dr. Perry was born and raised in the near the Plaza in Kansas City. He attended Rockhurst High School and then the University of Missouri-Columbia on the C.O.P.S. Police Survivors Scholarship. The scholarship was established for the surviving children of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, in honor of his fathers service to the KCMO police department. He earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri- Kansas City in 2004. Again, he received an academic scholarship during dental school from the American College of Dentists, for exemplifying excellence through outstanding leadership and exceptional contributions to dentistry and society.
Dr. Perry says it is for the opportunity to make people smile! Dentistry is the perfect blend of health and artistry, two passions of Dr.P. Avid about health and fitness (shout out to REAL Fitness KC!) Dr. P recognizes that the mouth is the portal to your entire body! Everything is connected, and it all starts in your mouth.
Dr. Perrys style is laid back and comfortable. He is easy to talk to and able to explain treatment in terms you can understand. By utilizing the latest in video technology, you can view the inside of your own mouth, how cool is that?
Dr. Perry is happily married to his college sweetheart, Sara, from Mizzou. They have two beautiful children and dog, Ace. Dr.P loves spending time with his family and traveling. He loves kids and has enjoyed coaching YMCA basketball and NSA soccer teams! Family travels have taken him all over. Whether it is practicing his Spanish in Mexico or being inspired by the Grand Canyon and Mount Rushmore, Dr. P proudly displays his Royals cap! He enjoys visiting other places but relishes returning home to his beloved Kansas City, MO.

I had a wonderful first experience at Perry Plaza Dental. I was not an established patient, but they fit me in for a next-day appointment. I am not the best with needles, and they made sure I felt as comfortable and relaxed as possible through my filling. Dr. Perry and his staff talked me through what they were doing and made me feel safe and in control the whole time. They also provided options for distraction like listening to music or watching a show, which was really nice. I would absolutely recommend them, especially for those with anxieties about dental procedures, and I will definitely be back!

Perry plaza dental is the best!! I moved here in the pandemic and was searching for a new dentist. The second I made an appointment they were communicative, helpful and kind. I even had some complications with a root canal and they were so accommodating both with payment and appointments. Any time I had a problem I got right in. They take time to know their patients and be intentional.

I started seeing Dr. Perry after a long period of not going to the dentist. I had many experiences as a child with "the dentist" that left me very afraid of all that going to the dentist entails. Dr. Perry and his whole staff has been awesome from the very first visit and always made me feel comfortable. Not only do I feel comfortable going, but my oral health is so much better than when I started going a year and a half ago--which is a huge relief. If you are looking for a dentist and you have any hesitation about who to choose, trust me when I say you won't regret seeing Dr. Perry and his wonderful staff!

I've been going to Perry Plaza Dental for over a year now and I've had nothing but great experiences every time. They have very nice staff and cool amenities like hand wax/moisturizer machine and an option to watch tv while your teeth are worked on. Always a very smooth and easy appointment as well as easy to book the appointment that come with text reminders for your cleanings/check ups. Dr. Perry is very down to earth, extremely knowledgeable and fun to talk as well. 10/10 would recommend!

I absolutely love going to Dr. Perry every time. I am one that has never truly liked the dentist, but going to Dr. Perry has been a completely different experience. His staff is so amazing and kind from the moment you walk in the door. It is very clear that everyone at Perry Plaza Dental wants the best for you and your health, all while making sure you are completely comfortable at all times.

Kirsten was so AMAZING. I have NEVER gone to the dentist before and felt so relaxed with my mouth wide open and the cleaning and flossing going on. The soft background music while watching video of Newport, R.I. really helped! And as always Dr. Perry finished with a short flourish of advice. It was a really Great experience.

To start with, I actually look forward to almost every appointment I have with Dr. Perry and the staff at Perry Plaza Dental...and that's saying a lot! From the moment I walk through the door, I feel as though I'm going to visit friends. Everything is done in a timely manner (without feeling rushed) and is done very well. There is no oversell and the staff listens to and addresses patients' concerns. I can't recommend Dr. Perry and his staff enough!

I grew up in a family where dentists and doctors were for rich people so everything was handled from home. This thinking unfortunately carried over into my adult life, and I neglected my overall health for years. Specifically my oral health. Here I am nearly 40 and at this point I was too embarrassed to go to a dentist. That is until I trusted a clients suggestion and took a chance and made an appointment at Dr. Perry's office. From the moment you step out of the elevator you are greeted with kindness and compassion. Each person you come in contact with treats you like a loved one. They actually remember personal things about your life and ask you about them each time. Dr. Perry himself writes you handwritten thank you cards and sends via mail. They never judged me or in anyway made me feel as ugly as I felt. They restored my self confidence when I allowed myself to forget my worth. I can not recommend them enough as I have quickly turned from a "I can't afford a dentist/don't want to go to the dentist" person. To a I get excited when I see my appointment on my calendar.
