Dr. Paul Perrine knew from an early age that he wanted to be a dentist, following in his father and sisters footsteps. Through high school and undergraduate college, he worked for and shadowed his father to get a jump-start on his dental knowledge. He attended West Virginia University and received his B.S. in Animal and Nutritional Sciences in 2010. In 2014, he graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry, earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Upon graduation, he practiced for two years with his father and sister at Perrine Family Implant and Aesthetic Dentistry in Cowen, WV. He also practiced with Dr. Mike Moore and Dr. Michelle Brown at Oceana Dental Center in Oceana WV, for two years. In 2016, he married Dr. Ashton Staunton and together they bought their practice, Perrine and Staunton Family Dentistry, the former Layne and Myers.

Dr. Perrine chose to be a general dentist because he enjoys all facets of dentistry. I really enjoy being able to do different procedures and not solely focused on one aspect of dentistry. Dr. Perrines favorite aspect of practicing is dealing with the people. In only three years of being in Jackson County, he has formed a special bond with his patients and looks forward to serving them the rest of his life. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity of practicing with my wife and be in the community of Ripley. Ripley is a very special place with the feel of a small tight knit community but still having all the necessities.

Dr. Perrine performs all types of procedures such as restorations, fixed and removable prosthodontics, extractions, restoring implants, teeth whitening, and pediatric dentistry. I love to be able to help patients become pain free and most of all prevent patients from having pain. He is very proud to give patients a healthy and beautiful dentition.

Dr. Perrine was born and raised in Cowen, WV. He and his wife, Dr. Staunton, have one son Aiden. He is a big Mountaineer fan, and enjoys all sports. He is an outdoor enthusiast where he enjoys hunting and fishing. His favorite thing above all is to spend time with his family.

Dr. Ashton Staunton was born and raised in Mount Carbon, WV. She graduated West Virginia University Institute of Technology in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in psychology. Due to her love of helping others, she then decided to continue her education at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. Graduating with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in May of 2014, she was excited to begin her dental practice with a West Virginia health clinic, Valley Health, where she could better help underserved dental areas of our state.

After two years of practice, she decided to take on her own dental office with her husband, Dr. Paul Perrine, whom she met in dental school and married soon after purchasing their own dental office. Both coming from small towns in West Virginia, Ripley was the perfect place for them to start their own family.

Dr. Staunton truly enjoys being a dentist and serving the community of Ripley and surrounding areas. When she is out of the office, her love is spending time with her husband, baby boy, two dogs, and the rest of their family.

We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.

I am more than impressed with the folks here. Called them 2 days ago and they were able to get me in today. But wait! There is more!! I had to have a tooth pulled and being a huge wimp as I am with the dentist, I was terrified. I went in for a 1130 appt and was put by 115. No pain and didn't believe the tooth was out until they showed me. I NEVER FELT A THING. These folks are amazing. Highly recommend them!!!

Have never been to a more RUDE practice. The staff and the dentist (woman) were all incredibly rude and had very horrible bedside manners. I would tell you the dentist name but she didn't even introduce herself. She made my husband feel like he was wasting her time. I would NOT recommend going here at all, especially if you have young children!!! HORRIBLE!!!

Went in for a yearly cleaning and it was the worst experience at a dentist. It hurt so bad and bleed heavily. The woman was very harsh and picked up into the gum areas. At the time they were the only ones who accepted my insurance is why I went to them.

Very bad attitude. Was very rude toward my niece and her four year old daughter. I would look elsewhere for my dental needs.

This dentist is rude and I think she hates her job! She looks at my daughter and says her "obviously by looking at her she eating the wrong stuff so let's work on that" and leaves. She got no history. So she knows nothing about her and shouldn't make assumptions based on her 1 minute visit.

Not personable at all. Bed side manner is terrible. It would be like if she came to my workplace and I didn't even acknowledge her. I would not recommend this dentist to anybody.

My wife was refused treatment because she is a respiratory therapist who is "exposed" to covid-19 patients. Stated to come back when she hasn't been exposed for 2 week. So effectively stating to not come back. We both work in a hospital keeping these people alive, but apparently hell with us if we need oral care.
