After completing his Bachelor of Arts Degree in biology at SUNY Oswego, he received his dental degree from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1993. He continued his career at SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, completing a year residency with advanced training in all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Mike is a TeethXpress certified doctor. He returned to Binghamton and today practices family dentistry for adults and children, including cosmetic and advanced restorative dentistry, as well as implant placement and restoration.
In addition to his commitment to providing quality dental health care to all of his patients, Dr. Mike is an active member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Broome County Dental Society. He was the chairman of the Peer Review and Quality Assurance committee of the 6th District Dental Association and secretary of the Broome County Dental Society.
Education: I graduated from Chenango Valley High School in 2007. Attended Broome community College from 2007-2009. Criminal Justice/Paralegal. Attended Elmira Business Institute from 2009 to 2011 where I got my Medical Assistant degree. I've been a Dental Assistant for over 11 years.
Education: I graduated from Binghamton High School. I attended SUNY Broome and Practical Dental. I am now enrolled in the DANB/CDAMP dental assisting program. I have been a Dental Assistant for over 5 years and at Perna Dental since the summer of 2020.
Education: I grew up in Kirkwood and attended Windsor High School. In 2003, I graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I then went to SUNY Broome, where I studied Dental Hygiene. I have been a Dental Hygienist for over 10 years.
My experience includes over 10 years of periodontal specialty and private practice dental hygiene. My education includes an Associates degree in dental hygiene from SUNY Broome, and a Bachelors degree in dental hygiene from SUNY Canton. I am an active member of NYDHA and serve as director for the central region of NY and currently sit on the SUNY Broomes Dental Hygiene Advisory Committee.
Worked six years for a periodontist, then Dr. Anthony Franzonello for 30 years. I just recently joined Perna Dental in summer of 2020. I enjoy being a Dental hygienist, love my personal interactions and building long lasting relationships with all my patients. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
Education: I graduated from Windsor High School and attended SUNY Cortland.I have been in the dental field for over 24 years. I started with my grandfather who was a local dentist. I worked with Dr. Anthony Franzonello for over 20 years and now with Perna Dental as we just joined practices.
I live in the town of Conklin with my husband of 20 years and our two sons. I keep busy attending all sporting and musical activities they are involved in. In my spare time I enjoy camping, reading and walking, but most of all, spending with my family.

Thank you all for your love and kindness. Dr. Mike and Heather performed a necessary procedure. I felt no discomfort afterwards. I automatically feel great when walking in the door at Perna Dental. There were no complications. I was normal at 9 pm, same night, no gauze. Private joke to Dr. Mike. The numbing agent reached my tongue and jaw at about 9 pm. LOL. I am notoriously immune to the agent used. Good news, numb completely at the site of procedure. Love you all. Thank you so much.

I had an accident over 30 years ago which resulted in a front tooth crown. I have always been self-conscious and unhappy with my smile. I called to schedule a consultation with Dr. Perna and spoke with a very kind lady who made scheduling an appointment a pleasant experience. I was nervous the day of my appointment, but was greeted warmly by the office staff. My first meeting was with Michele, who was not only kind and understanding, but also extremely informative. She spoke to both myself and my husband, explaining everything to us. When I was visibly upset explaining how I feel about my smile, she was so kind and empathetic. When Dr. Perna entered the office, I immediately knew that I was in good hands. He took the time to listen to what had brought me to the office. He explained the steps we could take to improve my smile. I knew that I would not go for any other consultations. Both my husband and I knew that we would put our trust in Dr. Perna without hesitation. I am looking forward to my procedure in January!

The words: Professional, Gentle and Caring cannot begin to describe the amazing experience I have EVERY time I see the staff at Perna Dental. Having many, many, many years of dental interactions in my lifetime, I have NEVER received this level of attention/care/results!! This dentist literally saved my life. My front tooth cracked when I was on vacation and it was cracked for more than a week. After I called numerous dentists in this area I was told no by each and every one of them, even though I offered to pay emergency fees to see a dentist. I finally found Perna Dental online and gave them a call. After talking to the receptionist and explaining my situation she assured me that she would ask her clinical team if they could help. She then called me back and informed me that I could come in that very day and get it fixed. She was polite and understanding and I felt that I made the right decision to call Perna Dental. When I arrived for my appointment I felt very comfortable in that atmosphere. Each staff that I talked to seemed concerned but reassured me that they would be able to help. I waited less than 5 minutes and i was brought back to the room. The dentist's assistant was very caring and nice. Dr Mike Perna was a nice and friendly gentleman that seemed to genuinely care about his patients issues. This made me feel a lot more comfortable before he began the procedure. Dr Mike Perna did an absolutely amazing job on my front tooth. It looks even better than it did before. This is an AWESOME dentist and I highly recommend it to anyone. I actually had a great experience there and I have never experienced that at any other dentist. Thank you Dr. Mike Perna and staff for giving me my smile back. Love Doctor Mike. He is patient, very precise and confident in what he does. He eased my worry over a recent root canal and did an amazing job. He has also restored several other teeth that had been previously worked on by another dentist. I highly recommend him as a dentist.

I recommend this dentist to everyone! I was suffering from excruciating pain and couldn't find a dentist who can help me right away! Everyone I called was a week to a month wait except for Perna Dental. I was able to get an Emergency appointment that following morning. Every other appointment after that has been great! The atmosphere in this office is very homey and family oriented. Makes you feel welcomed and a part of. Thank you Dr. Perna and your staff for taking care of me in my time of need.

I highly recommend this dentist! My anxiety was soaring and shortly after meeting the doctor and wonderful staff, I felt so comfortable. Everyone there goes above and beyond making you comfortable and answering all concerns. I feel so fortunate finding such an outstanding place
