Education is very important to me therefore, I continue my education with yearly conferences to the American Association of Orthodontics and the Saint Louis University Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation (OERF) meetings, as well as monthly meetings with the Fort Worth District Dental Society and Spear Group CE meetings, which all cover the most up-to-date advances in orthodontics as well as dental research and technology.
I am married to my wonderful wife, Aaron Michelle. We have been married for two years and love spending time with one another. She has been with me on this journey ever since I started dental school and continues to help me all along the way. She has the biggest heart and works as a physician assistant in the field of orthopedics. We have two pups, Braxton and Chyster, that are full of energy!
My wife and I are very active and love spending time outdoors with our two dogs. Having played collegiate soccer, I am an avid sports fanatic, particularly for DFW sports teams. On a Sunday, you will find us at church, but after that, we will be watching the Cowboys and grilling out with family and friends. Family is very important to me, and my wife and I spend most of our spare time with family out at the lake or in the country. We are very thankful that the Lord blessed us with the opportunity to grow our family and future in Fort Worth!

Jessica has been a part of our team since 2020 and is a graduate of UT Arlington. She thoroughly enjoys the work that we do and feels that we work from the heart. She is detail-oriented and is always striving for the best outcome possible. She also makes sure that each patient feels comfortable and understands their treatment in-depth. She speaks Spanish to meet the needs of the members of our community. Jessica finds that the best thing about being a part of our practice is the people she gets to work with. Everyone gets along so well that it truly feels like family. For Jessica, the work she does is more than just a job. Its a lifetime career and she cannot see herself doing anything else. This career is life-changing and fulfilling for her. Jessica loves to travel and explore as much as she can and does so whenever possible. She loves to take her fur baby Leila with her everywhere she goes. She loves to salsa dance. She also loves the outdoors and likes hiking, swimming and going to the beach. She is currently teaching herself to speak French and German.
In 1989, Melanie joined our practice as our orthodontic assistant. Over the years, she has developed a fondness for our patients and team, and she loves to contribute to the success of the practice. She has been married for over 35 years and currently has two children and six fabulous grandkids. Melanie loves sporting events, listening to live music and hanging out at the lake. On the weekends, she attends countless soccer games for her grandkids, as well as their swim meets, dance classes and basketball games.
After completing an associate of arts and associate of science from Tarrant County College and Everest College, Sana moved on to become a part of our team in 2019. As our orthodontic assistant and laboratory technician, Sana enjoys working with a respectful and caring doctor like Dr. Perkins. She appreciates being able to work in a fun and engaging environment where she can become closer to her team and our patients. Sana is currently engaged to her fianc, and she is the youngest of seven children. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and swimming, but most importantly, she likes spending quality time with her family. Sana also loves to learn about all the different types of cultures and traditions in her heritage.
Shelly has worked in dentistry since 1982 when she graduated from the Medical and Dental Assistant School of Dallas. As an experienced individual in the field of dentistry, she joined our team in 2013 and became our front office assistant. Shelly contributes a great deal of work to our team, always connecting with our patients and helping them feel part of the Perkins Orthodontics family. Her greatest goal is to help patients have the best experiences with us. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her husband and children. She also loves gardening, fishing and being outdoors. Shelly currently has two dogs, two horses, several chickens and a cat that keep her busy at home.
