Dr. Gretchen has been practicing dentistry since 1987. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh and is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, she joined her father, Thomas L. Perkins founder of Perkins Dental Associates. Thomas L. Perkins started the practice in 1965 in Bradford Woods, PA.
A lifelong resident of Bradford Woods Gretchen consistently serves the greater Pittsburgh community by donating dental work to charity organizations, by promoting dental hygiene in local schools and by providing financial support to multiple local nonprofit organizations. Gretchen is also an active member in Inspired Woman Paying It Forward charity organization.
Dr. Tom has been practicing dentistry since 1990. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Ohio University and is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. After graduation Tom also joined Perkins Dental Associates.
A lifelong resident of the local community Tom serves the greater Pittsburgh community as a dentist who donates his dental services to charitable organizations. He is a Free Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Scottish Rite and New Community Church.
Continuing Education is a priority for our doctors and they are committed to providing their patients with comprehensive oral health care that focuses on whole mouth wellness. The seven year post graduate program from the Pankey Institute trains for advanced skills in treating the masticatory system as a whole, including teeth, supporting structures such as gum/bone and temporal mandibular joint and muscular system.
We are dedicated to providing optimal care to each and every patient. Our goal is to be the patient advocate and assure a comfortable and calm environment. We look forward to meeting you and caring for you.

Perkins Dental is the absolute best! Their new virtual text system is effortless and made me feel safe/secure while I waited safely in my car for my appointment. Their office is super clean and the staff is beyond friendly and helpful! I love Perkins Dental!

I've been a patient of Perkins Dental Associates for 21 years now. I can't say enough good things about this practice. My dental care has been exceptional! I never hesitate to mention a tooth or gum problem as it is addressed immediately with corrective treatment. The doctors, hygienists and staff annually continue to educate themselves in their fields of practice. Special thanks to Drs. Tom and Gretchen and my hygienist, Julia, for taking such good care of me.

I have been a patient of Perkins Dental for 23 years. Dr. Gretchen has been my dentist for all of my appointments but there has been occasion where she was out of town and Dr. Tom filled in with the same amount of professionalism and comfort level I had grown used to. The entire staff is friendly and easy to talk to. They also have something new to tell me every visit whether a process or technology to make my visit easier. A family business that has makes you feel like family!

Perkins Dental Associates has the best dentist around! Dr. Gretchen and Sally have worked on my teeth for years to achieve the perfect smile! They were understanding and caring when I first came in to their office with a lot of anxiety about the dentist. Over the years, I have overcome my fear of the dentist and finally have the smile I've always wanted. Perkins Dental Associates has given me both a beautiful Marilyn bridge and dental implants. They don't stop until the job is done perfectly. Their patience and understating has been so helpful during my long journey to the perfect smile! Love the staff at Perkin's Dental Associates. Instead of regretting going to the dentist I actually look Forward to my visit .
