Dr. Hector Rios is an internationally known expert in the field of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. His career has been recognized with over 16 honors and awards. His 42 peer-reviewed publications, 11 chapter books and his recognition as a national and international podium speaker reflect his great contribution to the field and his recognition as a clinical expert.
Dr. Rios is a board certified periodontist. He received his Periodontal and Implantology training at the University of Michigan. He has served as a faculty member at U of M for the past 10 years and leads several global initiatives that bridge science and practice with a focus on oral bone and soft tissue regeneration.

Dr. Rios and his staff, especially office manager Robbie and her assistant Brittany, are amazing!!! I have had multiple, extremely unpleasant experiences in dental offices. I was hesitant to go to this appointment because of my previous negative experiences and actually put it off for more than 6 months. However, upon walking in to the office, I was greeted with friendliness, respect and a genuine and sincere welcome that put me completely at ease. The assistants to Dr. Rios were friendly and professional. I didn't feel judged by them as I had by the dental hygienists from my dentist's office. They made every effort to assure my comfort both physically and emotionally. Dr. Rios was amazing! He carefully explained what he thought was happening with my dental concerns and offered three possible choices for treatment, carefully respecting possible financial limitations, anxiety, time and pain constraints. He was also willing to share what he would choose for himself and why. His transparency about treatment choices was offered without judgment and I so appreciated his honesty. Upon leaving, the office staff was extremely friendly and treated me as if they'd known me forever, almost as a family member. I did divulge my fears about the visit and they were kind, compassionate and warm in their responses. I highly recommend the office of Dr. Rios!!!!!
