About The DoctorDr. Maggio was born in Chicago and raised in a dental family. From a young age he was involved with dentistry and it continues to be his passion. Upon completion of dental school he served his country in the United States Army. It was at that time that he was able obtain a California dental license. He returned to Illinois and he completed his residency in periodontics. In 1975 he established his practice of periodontics and implantology. Since coming to Elgin Dr. Maggio has been honored with membership in:

I have been a patient of Dr. Maggio's for 41 years. I moved to Wisconsin in 2002 but continued to drive to his office for treatment. He is kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.

I went to see Dr. Maggio for my periodontal concerns. He truly made me feel comfortable with the plan to correct my issues. He made my experience as pain free as it can be. All of his staff are friendly and made me feel like they cared. He truly shows passion for his patients.

Dr. Maggio and his staff operate one of the best dental practices I have seen. I needed an emergency extraction two days before going on vacation and they were able to fit me in their schedule last minute. The doctor is funny and very knowledgeable, not to mention it was one of the most pain free experiences I've had with dentists!

Dr. Maggio and his staff are outstanding. I have now had 3 procedures completed by Dr. Maggio. The procedures include a tissue graft, tooth extraction and implant. All have gone excellent. His staff are caring and efficient. His office is welcoming, nicely decorated, and clean. Best of all Dr. Maggio's years of practice, expertise as a UIC Dental School faculty member, commitment to the profession through his service to professional associations, and his contribution to the community, along with his conversational wit, make him a real treasure. Dr. Maggio accepts state employee's dental insurance and does not make you feel guilty about payment given the State of Illinois is almost a year behind in payments. He has a genuine concern for his patients and a sense of social justice.
