Dr. Daniel was born in Knoxville, TN, finished high school (Oakland) and college (MTSU) here in Murfreesboro. He received his DDS from the University of Tennessee School Of Dentistry in Memphis and was awarded a Certificate in Periodontics by UT and the VA Hospital after two years of specialty training.

During his 32 years in private practice Dr. Daniel has committed to continual learning. Several thousand hours of continuing education have been completed in advanced aspects of dentistry and periodontics. This included an externship at the Misch Implant Institute which included comprehensive training in the surgical management of dental implants. In 2005 Dr. Daniel was Board Certified and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

-Laser Assisted Surgery. Eight years ago both doctors were trained and began using laser assisted surgery in the treatment of periodontal (gum) disease. Combining minimally invasive laser assisted surgery with other technologies and techniques to eliminate infection and rebuild new gum and bone allows us to provide predictable treatment outcomes with minimal post-operative concerns for our patients.

- Digital records. This allows for quick access to needed information anywhere in the office. It also allows us to share necessary information with other doctors participating in your care. The result is more effective, efficient care for our patients. It also insures that sensitive medical information is safe.

Dr. Daniel has remained active in organized dentistry. He has served in all the offices of his local and district dental societies as well as the Tennessee Society of Periodontists. He has been a Trustee of the Southern Academy of Periodontology and the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Daniel currently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the 8500 member American Academy of Periodontology.

Dr. Gaydos-Daniel grew up in Elkhart, IN and received her B.S. degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette. Prior to dental school she worked in diabetes research at Miles Laboratory (now Bayer). She received her doctorate from Marquette University School of Dentistry and then completed her General Practice Residency at Lakeside Veterans Hospital in Chicago. She received her certificate and Masters degree in Periodontology from the Indiana University School of Dentistry where she also served as Assistant Clinical Professor for 14 years. This included comprehensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease and the surgical management of dental implants. She had a solo periodontal private practice in Fishers and Muncie, IN. She joined her husband in private practice in Murfreesboro in 2011.

During her career Dr. Gaydos-Daniel has remained committed to ongoing dental education. She consistently attends 100 or more hours of continuing education each year in an effort to offer the best and most current care for her patients. She is Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Examples of technology Dr. Gaydos-Daniel uses to provide state of the art care for her patients are:

- Concentrated Growth Factor. Created from the patient's blood, concentrated growth factor (CGF) is used to enhance the healing of both soft tissue (gum) and bone. It is used in the reconstruction of bone for the ideal placement of dental implants and in gum grafting surgery to repair recession defects on the roots of teeth.

- Computer Guided Surgery. Data from the cone beam CT scan is used to produce a surgical guide or template. This allows for the most accurate placement of dental implants for Dr. Gaydos-Daniel's patients.

-Digital records. This allows for quick access to needed information anywhere in the office. It also allows us to share necessary information with other doctors participating in your care. The result is more effective, efficient care for our patients. It also insures that sensitive medical information is safe.

Dr. Gaydos-Daniel has been active in all phases of organized dentistry. She maintains membership in the American Academy of Periodontology, the Southern Academy of Periodontology, the Tennessee Society of Periodontists, the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association and the Murfreesboro Dental Society. She has had active leadership roles in many of these organizations. She has also lectured in the United States and Russia.

I had a gum implant done on my upper left eye tooth. I had a cadaver implant. The pre-op, procedure, and post-op was such a amazing experience. The office staff was very friendly. Doctor was very good, he explained everything very well and was so personable. I am very pleased with my overall experience. Will be recommending this dental office to everyone.

As someone who has Amelogenesis imperfecta, it's rare to find an office willing to accommodate such sensitive teeth. Most dental hygienists have only seen the condition in books and some offices outright refuse to clean at all. Dr.Daniels and his staff did a wonderful job of helping me maintain my gum health while I'm undergoing restorative surgery. I'm incredibly grateful for their help!

Please read before you do business with this provider. This review is based on Periodontics & Implant Dentistry of Middle Tennessee business practices and reflects the experience I had with them as I was in good faith attempting to resolve an open account balance for over 2 years. The patient was my Wife. I cannot review treatment, as full treatment was not completed due to questionable and inefficient business practices detailed below and we ended up finishing the treatment at a much more reputable Periodontist in Nashville. Prior to the first treatment and after reviewing the predetermination of benefits from the insurance company, I contacted the office and together we determined and agreed on what out of pocket costs would be for the treatment plan. I then immediately paid in full the out of pocket costs agreed upon. After the first phase of treatment in late 2019, the issues with the business office started. Claims were filed incomplete and / or with erroneous information. I would then conduct my own research and attempt to cobble together diverging stories between errors in the filing that insurance was telling me vs. what the business office was advising. During 2020-2022, I sent 11 separate emails to the office advising the issues I had learned through discussions with my insurance, requesting they resubmit the claim with very specific instructions. Most were sent in 2020 and went unanswered; the few that did respond still did not result in the correct action. After multiple communication attempts, I sent one last email in late 2020 to advise the office that I would not be spending any more time dealing with them due to their lack of response and action. I heard nothing back until nearly 2 years later and this time with a letter threatening to turnover my account to their Attorney due to unpaid fees. In talking to new person at the office in charge of settling aging account receivables, I learned the person I had been emailing had left the office in 2020 and apparently no arrangements were made to forward her emails or even monitor them. I then spent yet more time educating the new person about the history of the situation and forwarded her all the documentation proving my intent to resolve the situation amicably and efficiently. Sadly, she had no interest in hearing, investigating or responding to my particular situation. Also, forget about trying to call and get them to pick-up as routinely I would call and get voice mail in the middle of business hours. In the end, this was not an issue of money, but rather a matter of business principles and ethics. I had a clear financial agreement before any treatment was made and the business failed to see any wrongdoing on their part, despite everything in this review. Even worse, this business takes on the persona of a debt collector even when there is clear and compelling evidence to the contrary. For these reasons and for the many other similar reviews, please entrust your care and spend your hard earned dollars at a different provider who excels in both patient care and patient advocacy.

DR. DANIELS IS AWESOME BUT HIS OFFICE STAFF IS NOT VERY EXPERIENCED IN GETTING YOU INFORMATION OR EXPLAINING YOUR BILL. BILLING INSURANCE THAT YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE. I PAID MY PORTION OF THE BILL IN FEBRUARY AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T SENT IT TO THE CORRECT INSURANCE COMPANY AND HERE IT IS THE END OF APRIL. PLUS TELLS YOU POST OPT CLEANINGS AND THEM BILLS YOU FOR THEM. I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICE OF THE OFFICE STAFF.

After two procedures with Dr. Daniel I continue to be impressed with he and his staff. The procedures were the easiest and most pleasant I've had though being at the dentist is never fantastic. Everything from the coffee and water in the waiting room to his chair side manor is thoughtul and professional and my gums look great. He loves being a periodontist and it shows.

I am very pleased with my experience in this office. Dr. Daniels was careful with the procedure performed and is very gentle. I had only a little swelling and no bruising after surgery. The office staff takes care of each patient promptly. They are courteous and focus their attention on the task. I definitely recommend this doctor and the practice.

I had gum graft surgery two months ago due to brushing too hard and was apprehensive to say the least. The procedure was so much easier than I expected and other than the numbing shots, I had no pain. I adhered to the ibuprofen/Tylenol schedule he recommended and no issues. I experienced some bruising and swelling but again, no pain in my gums. Even the stitches removal was a breeze! I highly recommend Dr. Daniel and his staff if you need this procedure done and are hesitant!

I've been told to have gum grafting done for years, and for years I kept putting it off because I was afraid of the process. Dr. Steven Daniel and his staff were amazing from the very beginning. Very responsive and led the process with empathy. Surgery day was smooth as can be and the process went on without issue. Dr. Daniel is so thorough from start to finish. I hope I never need another graft, but if I do, I wouldn't think of going to anyone else. Thank you Dr. Daniel and staff!!

First of all, I have to be honest and say I am a big chicken when it comes to seeing the dentist. If any of you have any anxiety about seeing dentists/ periodontists please please do not worry about going to see Dr. Daniel. Him and his staff are absolutely hands down the best and make you feel so comfortable. My appointment went so smooth and my gums look amazing.

READ THIS CAREFULLY ! I have had more dental work than 95% of all patients . I am 78 years old and Dr Gaydos's is doing my second implant. my I am am retired military and I havI have a pretty good idea of what competency and skilled hands look and feel like. Dr. Gaydos is five star plus in skill and competency and has a wonderful bedside manner. Sure they offer you lots of options which are expensive but you have the right to choose and refuse suggestions without recourse. Yes they are expensive but so is their training, overhead and staff! I am very pleased with Dr. Gaydos and her staff. Make no mistake, Dr Gaydos knows what she is doing and performs patient treatment in a skilled and caring manner! You get what you pay for...excellent service and results! As a nice footnote, you are usually seen within fifteen minutes of your appointment unless she is performing surgery on another patient that also deserves and gets her full attention! Yes, I have read all of the reviews both negative and positive and like all reviews, that is merely someone's reality at the moment. I stand by my rating and rarely even bother to write a review unless I am doing a very negative or very positive review. My reality is that I currently am receiving exceptional professional treatment and service and treatment from Dr.Gaydos and her staff! Yes, I will highly recommend her to my friends in need of her specialty! Sorry for the start of this review as this website will not allow for corrections. Dr. Gaydos is doing my second implant as I had the previous eight done elsewhere. I have had dozens of dentists crawling around in my mouth for over 70 years and am a pretty good judge of poor to exceptional dentistry. Dr Gaydos is exceptional! P.S. this website sucks for user friendliness!

Maybe odd one out according to some of these reviews, but I have been using this practice on and off for years without a bad experience. I had some gum grafts over a decade ago and some of the grafts did not hold, but that is common if the pockets and bone loss are too great. They have always been thorough, good, and professional. I started using them again when my perio guy, Dr Cummings retired and transferred all his clients here. They do a very awesome deep cleaning using a Cavitron, which saves time and agony, plus it is mandatory to have this done instead of a regular dental cleaning, it is much better. Yes, they are expensive, but fair for the work they are doing to keep my gums healthy. Maybe call and ask what the charges are first, before going in. I am usually the person that people seem to be rude to, and they have never been rude at all.

Complete waste of time and money. 3 returns trips expressing concern to which he brushed off so the gum graft failed. Returned (4th time) to discuss and he agrees and gives me a bill for the full amount again. Now I know why there is a therapy dog in the office! It is for the patient! Only positive is how nice Dr. Daniels is.

Dentist offices should never be as bad as this one. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. They are over priced, rude, and they are not nice at all. Instead of easing my nerves for this visit they made my blood pressure skyrocket. Save your hard earned money and go elsewhere it's not worth it.

Horrible ethics!! Stay very far away from this provider! My husband had work done at the end of last year. Half his mouth, and we paid in FULL. The rest was to be completed during the spring of 2020. Unfortunately, during the pandemic his father became ill and was put into hospice out of state. During all the caos, the 2nd appointment was missed. We are now being sued for the 2nd half of his treatment plan for work that was not rendered. How much more can be said for a company that sues its customers during such an awful time. We will be reaching out to the BBB, ADA as well as the State of TN Board of Dentistry,.
