With this in mind, Dr. Souyias take the time to talk to each patient in an effort to get to know you, your expectations and your concerns. This is followed by a very thorough examination that includes a cancer screening and over 27 different aspects of oral health being examined. Finally, we educate you in a manner that empowers you to make confident decisions regarding your oral health.

We are good at what we do. Dr. Souyias is considered among the best trained, most experienced and best staffed periodontists and dental implant surgeons in Southeastern Michigan. Jason G. Souyias was born and raised in Michigan. He cherishes the core values of the Midwest: honesty, integrity, and family. His father, Socrates, is an immigrant from Greece and his mother, Gloria, was born and raised in Detroit. Although Jason is proud of his heritage, he is even more proud to be an American.
Jason has lived in a variety of places across the United States. He lived in Chicago during his college years at Northwestern University and spent three years living in Portland, Oregon but Michigan is home. I like the idea of living in a place where deals can be done on a hand shake and peoples word means something to them, said Jason when asked why he chose to settle in this area.
Dr. Souyias went to the University of Detroit Mercy for his dental education and graduated with his doctorate of dental surgery in 2002. Immediately following dental school he chose to specialize in periodontics because of the pure passion he developed for that part of dentistry. He completed a three-year periodontal residency program at Oregon Health and Science University in 2005. Jasons constant pursuit of excellence led him to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 2007. A Diplomate is a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty and who is certified by the American Board of Periodontology through a rigorous examination process.
We are not like your typical periodontal office because we take the time to get to know all of our patients. We interview you to determine what you would like to improve upon with your oral health, and share tips and advice about your diet and lifestyle.
Drs. Souyias & Patel and team are passionate about our roles as oral health experts and provide all patients with the extra attention and care they deserve. In fact, Dr. Souyias shared his passion for periodontics with others, as he taught at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and offers dental professionals continuing education courses throughout the year.

My recent visit to Periodontic Associates of Port Huron was excellent! Dr. Patel and the staff are very kind and friendly. Everyone is cooperative and helpful; they answered all my questions thoroughly. Both doctors are doing an excellent job and I trust them with my dental care.

Full Service dental office! I had a tooth extraction with Dr. Patel. Dr Patel did an awesome job getting my tooth out. Feeling ok day after. The car wouldn't start when it was time to leave so the doctor Jason Souyias had jumper cables and came out to get us started. Wow! We are so grateful to Dr. Souyias and the office staff for their kindness.

The staff is very kind. Amy and Dr. Souyias give you as much time as you need for questions. I've never experienced the high quality personalization and helpful information regarding dental insurance coverage before. Kathy was very knowledgeable and she took the time to explain my insurance coverage as it pertains to my specific case.

Very pleased from the first counseltation to the end of the procedure. All staff members were very friendly, professional, full of energy and always smiling. I've never had any issues with my teeth so I was a little nervous about a tooth extraction and bone graph, but I wasn't even sore the next day so they must've been pretty gentle. I will definitely go back to them if I ever need work done again.

In a healthcare world where patients are a number and appointment times are mere guidelines, Periodontic Assoc/Dr Souyias stands heads and tails above the rest. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always on time, and COVID precautions are taken seriously. I was referred to Dr Souyias for a tooth extraction; after a dentist and an endodontist were unable to fill a cavity. During the initial exam, Dr Souyias asked if I knew my front teeth were loose as a result of untreated TMJ. (something neither of the other drs brought to my attention). Dr Souyias referred me to an out-of-county orthodontist to treat the TMJ. I returned to Dr Souyias a few years thereafter for an implant to replace the tooth that was extracted. My TMJ is gone, my teeth are healthy and it's all thanks to Dr Souyias expertise.

This office by far exceeds all expectations for dental care. These men and women make going to the dentist a joy! I had gum recession and Dr. Patel performed surgery to fix it. It was a long healing but they helped me every step of the way. Always answered my calls and questions throughout the process. I wasnt able to brush certain spots and I had some buildup going into my last visit. Kim was so sweet and even gave me a quick cleaning to make me feel and look better. I highly recommend this location! The staff is amazing and friendly! Oh yea and they fixed my mouth issues lol! Of course!

The staff and dentists in this office are amazing. Everyone is very friendly and genuinely interested in their patients. They all took the time to get to know me and to let me get to know them. The day of my procedure (2 Implants) I felt relaxed and well taken care of I even chose to not be sedated which I'm sure makes their job harder. I have and will continue to recommend them. Thank you
