Jason G. Souyias was born and raised in Michigan. He cherishes the core values of the Midwest: honesty, integrity, and family. His father, Socrates, is an immigrant from Greece and his mother, Gloria, was born and raised in Detroit. Although Jason is proud of his heritage, he is even more proud to be an American.
Jason has lived in a variety of places across the United States. He lived in Chicago during his college years at Northwestern University and spent three years living in Portland, Oregon but Michigan is home. I like the idea of living in a place where deals can be done on a hand shake and peoples word means something to them, said Jason when asked why he chose to settle in this area.
Dr. Souyias went to the University of Detroit Mercy for his dental education and graduated with his doctorate of dental surgery in 2002. Immediately following dental school he chose to specialize in periodontics because of the pure passion he developed for that part of dentistry. He completed a three-year periodontal residency program at Oregon Health and Science University in 2005. Jasons constant pursuit of excellence led him to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 2007. A Diplomate is a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty and who is certified by the American Board of Periodontology through a rigorous examination process.
