David Moisa, D.D.S., M.S. is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is board-certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery. He completed the prestigious Columbia University Postgraduate Program in Periodontics. During this three-year residency, he completed a Masters of Science Thesis based on his research entitled Impact of Palatal Donor Tissue Thickness on Connective Tissue Graft Surgery Outcomes. A Pilot Randomized Clinical Trial. His research was selected for presentation at the American Academy of Periodontology and Dr. Moisa presented it at the National Meeting in 2017. Dr. Moisas study was then published in the American Journal of Periodontology in September 2019. Additionally, Dr. Moisa was honored by being selected for the Melvin L. Morris Periodontal Research Fellowship Award upon completion of his training.
Immediately after completing his residency program, Dr. Moisa was invited to a faculty position, and became a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he taught Periodontics to dental students, and was involved in a multicenter clinical trial for the treatment of severe periodontal disease. He continues teaching Periodontology, providing continuing education courses to other dentists.
Dr. Moisa attended the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York. He was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, and was the recipient of numerous awards, including the Divisional Excellence Award in Periodontics, the American Academy of Periodontology Award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics, the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry, and the Henry Chang, Jr. Memorial Scholarship for clinical excellence and academic achievement.
Teresa Yang, D.M.D., M.S., completed her training in periodontics as the chief resident at the Columbia University Postgraduate Program in Periodontics. During her three-year residency, she completed a Masters of Science Thesis. Based on her research, she studied the influence of genetics on periodontal disease. The title of her Masters was Replication of Gene Polymorphisms Associated with Periodontitis in an Elderly Cohort. Additionally, Dr. Yang was selected for the Murray Schwartz Scholarship Award in Postdoctoral Periodontics in her first year of training. Dr. Yang graduated cum laude from Harvard University, where she received her B.A. in Human Evolutionary Biology and Psychology. She received her D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated with Honors in Dentistry for the Care of the Medically Complex, and received the American Academy of Periodontology Award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics.

Dr. Moisa and his staff were excellent to work with and made me feel like I was in great hands. Dr. Moisa took the time to answer all of my questions and made it a point to personally follow up with me after my procedure to make sure I was okay. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have a positive experience!

Dr.Moisa is very professional , skilled and respectful . Had bone graft and implant with him , he made everything pass smoothly answering all my questions and making sure I'm comfortable. Dr. Moisa and his staff are incredibly patient, professional and accommodating. After hearing I needed gum graft surgery, I was nervous about the procedure and the recovery. Dr. Moisa explained the surgery in detail both before and during the procedure. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. The surgery and recovery were smooth and painless. Dr. Moisa made himself available day or night if I had questions during my recovery. I have referred him to several others who have said they had the same experience!

I highly recommend Dr. Weiss. I had a lingering issue with a tooth that was badly injured in an accident several years before. I was never able to get to the bottom of it. Dr Weiss did a careful evaluation and solved the mystery. He addressed the problem and I am so happy with the result!! The office is also well run and staff are extremely kind.

Dr Moisa and all of the staff are fantastic. Although I was dreading gum graft surgery, and had put it off for longer than I should have, he instantly put me at my ease and I knew from the very first visit that I was in good hands. He performed beautiful pain free grafts and I couldn't be happier with the results. My gums feel and look great - can't recommend him highly enough!

Dr. Moise performed my gum graft surgery as painlessly as possible. When minor complications arose he was there to answer my phone calls and prescribe medications at random times on the Sunday after the surgery. I have already recommended Dr. Moise to a friend for her gum graft and would reccomend him to anyone else.

To say I was nervous to have a double gum graft is an understatement, but the team at Livingston Periodontal & Implant Associates, led for me by Dr. Moisa, was incredible. I was as comfortable as possible during the procedure and the follow up was great. Best of all, the graft was successful! I could not recommend this practice more.

I cannot praise Dr Moisa enough. He performed an extraction and managed to successfully place an implant at the site plus a second implant on the same day. Both implants have healed and I am well on the way to restoration. Dr Moisa has a wonderful bedside manner, I am a nervous patient but he is clearly very good at what he does and I have always felt in safe hands. Special mention to his assistants and the office staff who are always polite, friendly and efficient.

Dr. Moisa and his staff were absolutely sure to make my gum graft surgery experience as comfortable and pleasurable as possible, and they did just that. I was nervous for the procedure itself but I felt assured and cared for to the greatest extent. I am sooo very pleased with the quality of service that I've received from Dr. Moisa and staff here! The first thing to notice about the office is that you will receive a warm welcome and that it is an inviting and clean space. All desk matters are handled professionally. The Periodontists and their assistants are excellent- great diagnosticians, more than competent at providing care, and they make procedures as seamless and pain-free as possible. Dr. Moisa and his crew took care of my gum grafts and now after several years of monitoring, have released me from care knowing my general dentist will monitor me; they assure me that if another issue arises, they will see/treat me without delay. My mom, who is an anxious dental patient, has been a patient of Dr. Weiss & he handled her anxiety and dental issues with aplomb. You can't ask for more in a dental practice.
